When opposition comes, where will you turn? In Acts 12, a king of this world flexes—James is executed, Peter is jailed, and Herod basks in applause. But the church answers with its true weapon: earnest prayer. Walk through the chapter’s three acts—Martyred, Miracle, Multiplied—and watch the great reversal: the chapter opens with James dead, Peter imprisoned, and Herod triumphant; it closes with Herod dead, Peter free, and “the word of God increased and multiplied.” This message presses the Burn Your Boats call to go all-in with Jesus: trust the risen King, endure opposition, and pray like it matters.

Acts 9:32–11:30 marks a decisive breakthrough in the story of Acts. Jesus is alive and at work through miracles of healing and resurrection. His call to repentance extends beyond Israel, demonstrating that even Gentiles are welcomed by grace. The church is stretched to break old boundaries and embrace those once considered outsiders. This is the Acts 1:8 trajectory unfolding — from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, and now a key moment as the gospel begins reaching the ends of the earth.
