Jesus serves as sovereign King and Savior of sinners through His death securing for the rescued hope for eternal fellowship with God.

We see here the differences of sinful humanity and the perfect person of Christ.

While awaiting the return of our King we must be alert, obedient and hopeful due to the certainty of His second advent.

Christ's people will follow Him into difficulty confident that He will be faithful to see us through.

Our righteous King takes the punishment of sin, judges wickedness, and elevates the humble.
