Lee Brockington is the author of several books on Pawleys Island and Hobcaw Barony. She spent 25 years at Hobcaw Barony, retiring as Coordinator of Public Engagement in 2020. She also writes articles and lectures on women, African Americans, and Georgetown County. Lee is currently a history consultant and is partnering with Captain Paul Kenny for Imagine Charter Boat Tours and with Linda Ketron for CLASS programs and events. She loves sharing what she learns about local history and ecology, which she feels is a way to build bridges between natives and newcomers, as well as various groups of people working toward the same goal, to make the Waccamaw Neck a good place to live!
