Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians explained how they boldly stepped into the open to speak of the truth of Jesus having died once and for all even though it meant it made things awkward, and created conflict with many of the people they shared this with, but they did it regardless as they did it with pure motives – to please God not man. For us to do the same it demands we ask the question – who am I living for? It also demands we don’t depend on our own strength and boldness but instead we get filled daily by the truth of God’s word and strength from his Holy Spirit to do what he’s calling us to do.
