God wants to fill us with his Spirit, so that we can be wise in how we live, and be good representatives of Christ to those around us.
Sam continued in the series on Ephesians looking at how we were darkness but are now light in the lord and how by knowing that God will use us to shine in the lives of others.
Due to technical issues unfortunately the first couple of minutes of Paul’s sermon did not get recorded. The recording begins as he is reading through Ephesians 2:11-22, the audio picking up at verse 18.
God has chosen you in Christ to be adopted into his family, redeemed according to the purpose his will and sealed with the Holy Spirit guaranteeing our eternal inheritance; all this is to the praise of his glory.
God has called us in Christ to be faithful saints who know we have every spiritual blessing through the Holy Spirit at work in us.
Christians do not earn their salvation, they are saved by grace, but grace causes us to want live for God and say no to sin.
We consider Joseph’s life in the light of Pharaoh’s comment ‘Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?’
