We like Joshua need God provided courage to face the challenges of this life. Canaan represented warfare not heaven and we like the Israelites must understand that we will face challenges and suffer hardship as we journey through our Canaan land on our way to glory

Christian life is not a game its warfare.Today's Church is nothing more than other form of entertainment similar to attending sporting event or a night out with friends.The Christian life is not comfort ease and convenience its much discomfort, hardship and difficulty.Our enemy is real and is playing for keeps.

This world is not our home it is the devils territory the believer must understand the rules of warfare and be ready to battle.
