Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
You can know in your head that God loves you. You can quote all the verses. You can say "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" without blinking...and still walk past a mirror and feel your stomach drop. If that's you, it doesn't mean you're a bad Christian, and it doesn't mean you lack faith. There's something else going on, and that's what this episode is about.
I unpack why knowing truth doesn't automatically heal a story — and how the parts of us that got hurt at a specific moment in time keep running the show until they're actually met, not just corrected with a Bible verse. I share the story of the wounded part of me carrying beliefs from 17 years of betrayal in my first marriage, from sexual abuse, and from watching my body change through perimenopause — and what it looked like to bring Jesus into that place instead of trying to think my way out of it.
This episode also includes a short guided moment where I walk you through asking God directly: "What story have I been believing about myself because of my body?" I'd encourage you to find a quiet minute to actually sit with that question rather than just listening past it.
⚠️ Note: This episode touches on sexual abuse and marital betrayal. If you have little ones nearby, you may want to find a quiet moment to listen.

This week I'm taking you inside my first week back on FASTer Way to Fat Loss — but from a completely different place than I approached it before. I share the real backstory: why I used to work out twice a day, why I eventually stopped, and how anxiety, unhealed trauma, and never really loving myself were tangled up in my old relationship with fitness.
I walk you through what week one actually looked like — using the new AI feature (Lumi) to track macros without the mental spiral, what I'm learning about energy and nourishment, and the specific things I'm trying hard not to do this time: no punishing workouts, no all-or-nothing thinking, no stepping on the scale and letting a number decide who I am.
I also share the two questions I'm taking with me into every day of this journey — "if I really loved myself right now, what would caring for my body look like?" and "am I caring for my body, or am I trying to control it?"

Welcome Christian Body Image and Identity podcast! I'm Olivia Cagle — Christian Body Image and Mindset Coach — and in this episode I'm sharing exactly where I'm coming from and why I started this podcast.
I'm 51 years old, I've gained about 25 pounds over the last few years, and I haven't lost all of it. I'm not talking to you from the other side of a transformation photo — I'm talking to you from the middle of one.
In this episode, I open up about the season I couldn't look at myself naked in the mirror, what happened when my husband asked me to stand there and say "I love you" to myself, and why — even as a mindset coach with years of inner healing training — I still couldn't make myself believe it.
I share how I stopped trying to manufacture self-love and started letting God love me instead, what it looked like to curl up in His lap and ask, "What do You think about me?", and how sexual abuse, narcissistic abuse, and 17 years of betrayal in my marriage shaped the way I got my identity from my body for so long.
You'll hear why I still want to lose weight and still care about my health — and why that no longer means hating myself along the way. I also introduce what's coming on this podcast: mindset tips, inner healing, nervous system regulation, hearing God's voice for yourself, and my own FASTer Way to Fat Loss journey, which I'm walking through in real time, alongside you.

I pulled this audio off of a video...which is why I said video. :) But I thought it was too good not to share here.
What if the reason your weight-loss journey keeps turning into shame, anxiety, and frustration isn't because you lack discipline—but because of the place you're starting from?
Before you start another diet, workout program, or health journey, there's something I want you to do first: get curious about the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs underneath your desire to change your body.
In this episode, I’m sharing why I believe we need to stop trying to hate or shame ourselves into becoming healthier. I’ll walk you through what I do when I wake up in the middle of the night with anxious thoughts about my weight, food, exercise, or whether I’m “doing enough.”
I’ll also share a simple inner-healing practice for the part of you that may be scared, rejected, or convinced you aren't good enough—and how you can begin meeting that part with love instead of criticism.
And I’ll tell you more of my own story: how I gained about 25 pounds, stopped recognizing myself in the mirror, and once stood in front of that mirror crying because I couldn't tell myself I loved what I saw. I’ll share how years of getting my identity from my body were connected to deeper wounds in my life—and what has changed for me since then.
You'll also learn a simple morning practice for beginning to reconnect with your body, God, and gratitude before your brain starts telling you everything you need to fix.
Because you can want to lose weight and still love yourself today.
You can care for your body without punishing it.
And you can begin your health journey from love instead of shame.
I'm Olivia Cagle, a Christian mindset coach and inner healer, and I'm learning to do this in real time too. If you're ready to stop fighting yourself and start coming home to love, this episode is for you.

Do you feel like you can't look in the mirror without picking yourself apart?
Have you tried to lose weight, fix your body, or "do better" — only to end up right back in the same cycle of…
Are you tired of feeling like your worth is tied to a number on the scale or what you see in the mirror?
Do you love God… but still feel like you have to earn His love, or your own, by fixing your body first?
Is the way you see yourself tangled up in things that happened to you — a marriage, a relationship, your past — more than you've ever said out loud?
If you're exhausted from trying to hate yourself into changing, you're not being dramatic, and you're not alone.
I am so glad you're here, because this podcast will help you heal what's underneath your body image struggles, renew your mind, and learn to care for your body and your life from love instead of shame.
Inside each episode, you'll learn Christ-centered tools for body image, shame, identity, and nervous system regulation — without the "just be grateful for your body" advice that never actually gets underneath the pain.
You'll learn how to:
Stop tying your worth to your weight or your reflection
Untangle your identity from your past
Care for your body without punishing it
Hear what God actually says about you, instead of what shame says
Build a faith that feels like love, not performance
This is about coming home to who you are — not becoming someone else to be worthy of love.
I'm Olivia — a Christian mindset coach and inner healer who has walked through narcissistic abuse, sexual abuse, a marriage marked by betrayal, and years of not being able to stand in front of a mirror without crying. I gained weight, I tried to fix it, I tried to earn peace — and none of it worked until I stopped trying to fix my body first and started letting God heal what was underneath it.
So, what changed?
I finally realized peace wasn't about becoming a different woman, or waiting until I'd lost the weight. It was about learning to receive God's love as His daughter first — and letting that reshape the way I saw my body, my story, and myself.
Now, I help women just like you stop hating themselves into change and start living from who God says they already are.
If you're ready to:
Stop punishing your body to feel worthy
Heal what's underneath the shame
Make peace with your reflection
Rebuild your identity in Christ instead of in your appearance
Care for your body from love, not fear
This podcast is for you.
Grab your coffee (or your tea, no judgment), and let's talk about what it actually looks like to come home to who God says you are — body, story, and all.
xo, Olivia
