On Easter Sunday we celebrated Jesus’ ability to bring us peace that creates joy in every season of life.

As Christians, we are called to have a mind governed by the Holy Spirit and not one governed by the flesh. A mind governed by the Spirit leads to life. We need to create time in our busy schedules to listen to the Holy Spirit allowing Him to govern our mind so that we remain within the calling that God has for us.

In every situation we have a reason to praise and can experience the power of praise. When we participate in praise it change our view of God, our circumstances, and even the environment around us.

This week’s message focused on the gift that God’s presence is to every believer. The wonderful thing about God’s presence is that it’s available to imperfect people in both routine and unexpected ways, and it’s always where God speaks, reveals His character, administers His will, and gives the promise that He will go with us wherever we go.

Living a life empowered by the Holy Spirit requires us to submit to His leading and guidance in every area of our lives. When He speaks, we need to be ready to respond!

Followers of Jesus will experience unjust suffering as the share his light in dark places. Acts 16 teaches us to identify the causes of unjust suffering and how we can address it to make a difference for those coming after us.

In Acts 16:16-18 the story of a woman suffering from an evil spirit reminds us that we live in a supernatural world that includes a real enemy who is working to steal, kill and destroy. As followers of Jesus, we can encounter evil with confidence, becuase Jesus is always stronger and can always deliver us. When we experience his freedom, we then get the privilige of sharing it with others who are stuck in darkness.

The Holy Spirit is active in bringing revival to the church as a community and individually. Our part is to surrender, seek, and worship. The on-going renewal of the Holy Spirit in our lives empowers us for the service He has called us to both generally in our witness and our specific callings.

Pastor Caleb Cole is the Lead Pastor of Project Church in Sacramento, CA. Pastor Caleb reminded us that we have been created to experience God’s glory and allow it to flow through us to bring change to the world around us. In 2 Samuel 6 King David offers us a few examples of what it looks like to pursue and experience God’s glory.
