You'll hear more about those at the end, but today is about you and your mindset and your future. Joy. Let's begin.

Welcome to the Christian Coaching School podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator and the number one authority on spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003, and if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind—let's go.

Welcome back. I am Dr. Leelo Bush and this podcast is about living with purpose, rising with joy, and walking in peace on purpose. If you're new, I want to say I'm glad you're here. And if you're returning, thank you for showing up again. That tells me you're serious about growth. Today I'm going to show you how to begin loving your life again, regardless of your past, your circumstances, or the noise around you.

This is not about ignoring what's hard. It's about refusing to let what's outside you decide what lives inside you. Let's be honest, there are a lot of reasons why people don't fully love the life that they are living, even when it looks good on paper. Maybe it's the constant pressure to perform. Maybe it's the low-grade hum of comparison—scrolling social media and feeling like everyone else has something you don't. Maybe you're stuck on autopilot. Busy, distracted, productive, but not present. Or maybe your life has been shaped by other people's expectations for so long you don't even know what you really want anymore. And then there's grief, loss, or transition—things that shift your world so deeply they leave residue. Emotional patterns that quietly follow you into new seasons.

But no matter how it started, the result is the same. You're living your life, but you're not really in love with it.

Let's anchor this in truth. Philippians 4:8 says, "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely—think on these things." There is more to this than spiritual advice—it's mental rewiring. When we dwell on what is good, we begin to feel what is good. Not because we're ignoring pain, but because we're refusing to magnify it. Your brain doesn't know the difference between what's happening and what you focus on. So when you rehearse goodness, beauty, praise—you begin to experience more peace. And peace makes room for joy.

Romans 12:2 tells us, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Transformation doesn't begin with a promotion or a move. It starts with how we think. Creating a life you love doesn't begin by changing everything around you. It starts by changing how you interact with what's around you.

The first step is awareness. Most people don't realize they're rehearsing unhappiness. We repeat unhelpful thoughts all day long. Thoughts like: "This is too hard." "Nothing's changing." "I'm just not good at this." And then we wonder why life feels heavy. You have to catch those thoughts. Hold them up to light and challenge them. Is this even true? And then choose something better.

The second step is presence. Most people live in reaction mode. They don't design their emotional experience—they just drift through it. We can start by setting intentions. Something like, "Today I choose peace." "Today I will look for beauty." "Today I'll notice what I already have." Gratitude is more than a feeling. It's a filter. It reveals what was already there, waiting to be celebrated.

And finally, we begin to reinforce what works. When something brings us joy, we can repeat it. When something stirs peace—linger longer. These little practices begin to rewire our emotional baseline.

Now let's talk about something powerful: becoming unbothered. In a loud world full of opinions, pressures, and endless notifications, our peace will be constantly under attack unless we learn how to guard it. Here's what we need to understand: distraction is the enemy of depth, and noise is the enemy of clarity. We don't just lose peace because of major crises. We lose it because we never turn off the noise long enough to hear God clearly or feel ourselves fully.

Being unbothered doesn't mean we're disconnected—it means we're rooted. Rooted in our identity. Rooted in the Word. Rooted in purpose. We stop living for applause. We stop fearing judgment. We stop letting emails, texts, headlines, and even the moods from other people decide our worth. We learn to pause before reacting. We practice stillness without guilt. We build emotional boundaries that allow us to stay soft and strong. Peace is found in control. It's found in surrender. And the more rooted we become in God's truth, the less shaken we'll be by the world's chaos.

This is where real joy begins—when you realize you don't owe the world a version of you that's always performing. Rather, you owe God your obedience, your trust, and your surrender. And from there, life starts to feel different. Not because it's changed—but because you did.

You don't have to be burned out or broken to take your peace seriously. In fact, the people who create the most meaningful lives are usually the ones who are already doing okay—but choose to go deeper.

If you want to love your life, start living on purpose. Don't wait for permission. Don't wait for the stars to align. Choose joy now. Practice peace now. Design your days around what matters most. And build your thoughts like bricks—one truth at a time.

And this isn't selfish—it's sacred. Because the more healed, present, and joyful you become, the more people around you will feel it. And if you are in a hard place right now, know this: it won't always be this way. You can rise from here. You can rebuild. You can smile again—and mean it.

God has not forgotten you. He's walking with you. He's already given you everything you need to love the life you're in.

If you're ready to start that journey today, I put together some simple tools to help you: the Healing the Grieving Brain guide, the Daily Emotion Tracker Journal, and the Self-Coaching Frameworks are all available now at griefcoachu.com/healing.

They are affordable, they're accessible, and they've helped thousands retrain their thoughts, restore their peace, and take back their joy. But even without the tools, here's your next step: start today. Choose one truth to rehearse. Speak life over yourself. And love your life—on purpose.

Until next time, I am Dr. Leelo Bush. And remember:

Peace is a decision. Joy is a skill. And your life is worth loving—no matter what.

TRANSCRIPT: Do you want to get? Well. That's what Jesus asked. The man lying by the pool of Bethesda. 38. Years. He waited, hoping, watching. Stuck. He had reasons. He had excuses. But what he. Didn't. Have. Was healing until. Jesus showed up. And when he did, he didn't offer sympathy. Rather, he issued a command. Take your mat and walk. In that moment, everything changed because healing didn't come through time. It came through obedience. To the word. Friend. Maybe you're the one lying on the mat today. Paralyzed by pain. Overwhelmed by loss. Wondering if your breakthrough will ever come. Or maybe you're someone God. Is calling to rise up and help others take their first steps toward. Healing. Whichever it is. I need you to hear this. Jesus is still. Saying. Get up. Your healing. Starts. The moment. You stop. Waiting and start walking. And here's the part I can hardly believe myself. We've made the tools for healing so accessible. So affordable that. Literally anyone within the reach of my. Voice. Can begin this journey today. No barriers. No excuses. Just proven health and real hope. This is the episode where. Everything can begin to change for you or for someone you're. Called to help. So don't. Go anywhere. Welcome to the Christian Coaching School podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator. And the number one authority on. Spirit led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003, and if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind. Let's go. Welcome back, my friend. I am Doctor Lelo. Bush and I am so glad. You're here. Whether it's your first. Time or you've been walking this journey with me. For a while. Today's episode is for. Anyone. Who's ever felt like life stopped after loss. And it's also for you. If God has been. Tugging at your. Heart to help. Others who are hurting. Maybe through coaching. Counseling, or just. Walking beside a friend in pain. What I'm sharing today isn't fluff and it's not theory. It's truth. Backed by neuroscience and guided by the. Spirit of God. Because we now know more than ever that grief doesn't just. Affect your heart. It rewires your. Brain. But that. Also means your brain can be rewired. Back so you're not stuck. And healing, whether for. You or. Someone you love. Isn't about just. Giving it time. It's about applying the right tools. In the right way. Day after day. That's what makes healing stick. And I've got something powerful to share with you. Tools that have helped thousands. Move from pain. To purpose. So let's. Dive in to the. Newest. 2025 findings on how to heal the grieving brain and what you can do. Starting today. Let's begin with something you need to hear. Grieving people are not broken. Your brain is doing exactly. What it was. Designed to do. Responding to deep emotional pain with protective mechanisms. But here's the good news. What trauma and grief wired into your brain can be unwired. What sorrow hijacks hope can restore. Now, in 2025, neuroscience is catching up with what many. Of us have already. Seen through faith and intentional action. The data is in and it's powerful. Let me break it down for you. When you experience loss, the emotional center of your brain, the amygdala. Goes into overdrive. It floods your system with fear. Sadness. Even paralysis. At the same time. Your. Prefrontal. Cortex. The part of your brain responsible for decision making and planning, shuts down. You feel foggy, lost, disconnected. That's not weakness. That's biology. And it's not permanent. In fact. Your brain is neuro plastic. That means it can change, heal. Adapt, and rewire itself. Through intentional. Practice. The research. Coming out this. Year is. Confirming what many of us already witnessed firsthand. Healing happens. Faster. When we engage our brains intentionally, daily. One of the. Most exciting discoveries is how powerful. Something as simple as naming your emotions can be. It turns out when you regularly label what you're feeling, your brain begins to calm itself. Emotional intensity decreases and you start gaining clarity. It's like taking the chaos in your head and finally giving it structure. We're also seeing that just ten minutes a day. Yes. Only ten. A focused. Guided thought work can help rewire the brain faster than weeks or even months of doing nothing. Passive time doesn't equal healing, but micro. Shifts. Made consistently. Does. Change everything. And here's something I love. God created us to heal both inside and out. Gentle movement like walking, light stretching, or even just standing with awareness of your body helps regulate your nervous system. When you pair that with moments of stillness like quiet prayer, deep breathing, or reflection, your brain begins to restore emotional resilience in a truly miraculous way. But one of the most transformative findings of all. Is this. Healing becomes dramatically more. Effective. When people follow a daily rhythm. Specifically one that includes guided frameworks and journaling. This isn't about writing a few sad thoughts on a page. This is about engaging your mind to partner with your recovery. The studies. Show that people who consistently. Used structured tools. And track their emotional progress experienced breakthrough up to three times faster than those who didn't. And that is why I created these tools for you. The Healing the Grieving Brain Guide. Lays out the. Foundation. It teaches you exactly what's happening inside you, how grief rewires your brain and then shows you what to. Do about it. It's like a personal map. Out of the fog. The companion journal takes that learning deeper. Inside, you'll find prompts that help you identify and label your emotions, and a daily emotion tracker. To capture your progress. Because when you see your healing on paper, your mind begins to believe that it's real. And that belief changes everything. Then there is the self coaching frameworks. My favorite. Part? These aren't just exercises. They are a repeatable, intentional. Process to guide. Your thinking. Shift your focus. And begin building a better day. One thought at a time. When you. Show up for yourself with these tools. In hand. You start. Teaching your brain what. Peace looks. Like. And with. Practice. Peace becomes your new normal. Healing doesn't happen by chance. And it's not. Just about. Time. It's about what you do. With the time. So if no one told you this before, let me be the one to say it. You are not stuck. Your grief is real. But it doesn't get the final word. You've just never been shown how to heal. Until now. Friend, if you or a loved one. Is still. Lying on that emotional mat, if you're waiting for someone to pick you up and carry you, I'm here to tell you what. Jesus said. Take up your mat and walk. God has placed healing in your reach. Now it's time to reach back. And if he's calling you to help others heal. Don't wait to get equipped. This generation doesn't need more sympathy. They need spirit led, neuroscience informed solutions. They need you to rise. And now that you do know how to heal, what are you going to do with it? You have access to. The same power that raised. Jesus from the dead. That power lives in you. And that means your healing isn't just possible. It's inevitable when you apply the truth. And walk it out. So don't wait another day hoping things will get better on their own. Go to griefcoachu.com. Forward slash. Healing right now and get the healing the grieving brain guide. It's the foundation every grieving heart needs. It's written with clarity, compassion and truth. And the companion. Journal to track. Emotions, insights and growth day by day. And if you're ready to. Accelerate the process. Go all in and grab the self coaching frameworks. They will. Walk you step by step. Through the intentional. Process to rebuild from the inside out. It's important to repeat this. Process each. Time you get recurring thought. Errors to rewire. And make those joyful transforms. Stick. Because listen. Your story isn't finished. God's not done with you. And what the enemy tried. To use to destroy you. God is about to. Raise you up and make you dangerous. To the darkness. If you're walking through grief. This is. For you. If you're called to help others, walk through grief. This is for all the lives you will transform back to. Peace and joy. We're not waiting around the pool anymore. We're standing up. We're taking up our mat and we're walking. Thanks for listening today. If this spoke to your heart, share it with someone you love. And if you haven't already. Subscribe to the show so you. Christian Coaching School – Season 3, Episode 010 Hosted by Dr. Leelo Bush

It was spring of 1990, in Mount Washington, Kentucky, where I lived at that time. I was standing at the altar. No microphone, no audience. Just me and the Lord. And I said one simple, surrendered prayer: "God, use me in whatever humble way You want." That was it. I didn't feel spectacular. I didn't feel qualified. But I meant every word.

And that moment, quiet as it was, marked the beginning of a worldwide movement I never could have imagined. Today, thousands have been trained. Countless lives have been changed. And it all began—not with a strategy, but with a willing heart.

So if you're waiting for a magical moment where you feel ready… let me stop you right there. It's not about feeling ready. It's about being willing. You're going to hear some truth today that might just break the chains you've been dragging around for a few years. Let's get into it.

Welcome to the Christian Coaching School Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator, and the number one authority on Spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003.

And if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind—let's go.

Hey there friend, you are listening to the Christian Coaching School Podcast where we train heart-centered Christian coaches, counselors, and ministers to step into their calling with Holy Spirit power and Kingdom authority.

I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush, and whether you're here for the first time or you're one of our faithful regulars—welcome.

If you're new, I want to personally invite you to subscribe so you never miss an episode. And if you're a returning listener, I am so grateful for you. We're building something beautiful here together, and your presence matters.

If anything today lights a fire in your spirit, please leave a review. That's how we keep this message moving across the globe.

Now, before we dive in, I have to tell you about something powerful—especially if you're navigating loss or walking with someone who is. My newest release, Healing the Grieving Brain, is a transformational guide that shows you how grief physically rewires your brain—and more importantly, how to rewire it for healing and peace.

Grief and loss will happen in all of our lives, but there is no need to suffer with heartache and pain needlessly.

And the companion journal that goes with it includes a daily emotion tracker—because true progress is measurable. This tool helps you stay accountable to your emotional healing.

I've also added a self-coaching framework separately, so that you can effectively stay on track and get back to the real you.

You can get them all right now at griefcoachyou.com/healing, and the link will also be in the show notes. Also, be sure to read the miraculous transformations of my students—those tools and skills are changing lives, and they are waiting for you at that link.

So let's talk about one of the biggest lies that keeps powerful people small. And here it is:

"I don't feel ready." Sound familiar?

I'm still healing. I'm not trained enough. I don't know what to say. I'm not a real counselor. I'm not a pastor. What if I mess it up?

Let me be blunt: Readiness is not the requirement. Willingness is.

God isn't scanning the earth for the most polished person—He's looking for someone who will say: "Yes, Lord. Send me."

And if you've been feeling the pull to step forward into healing work, coaching, ministry, or just helping someone through their pain, then hear me:

You are more ready than you think.

And I'm going to prove it to you with some bold, Holy Spirit-backed truth that will silence the enemy's lies:

You've survived what someone else is still drowning in.

Your pain. Your healing. Your battle scars. They're not liabilities. They are proof that God has walked you through fire—and now He's calling you to walk others through theirs.

"He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others." —2 Corinthians 1:4

You don't need to be a finished product. You just need to be one step ahead.

You've lived it. You've overcome. You've learned. That makes you a guide, not a guru. A vessel.

That stirring in your spirit? That's the call. You've felt it—that holy whisper that says: There's more for you.

That gentle tug when someone opens up and your heart says: "I want to help."

That's not your imagination. That's the Holy Spirit speaking to your assignment.

God doesn't dangle dreams like a carrot on a stick. He plants purpose in your spirit and waits for you to water it with obedience.

The call is already there. Now it's your move.

You don't have to fix people—Jesus does that. This is where the pressure breaks off. You're not stepping into coaching or ministry to be a savior.

You're not responsible for solving everything. But your job is to show up. Make space. Listen well. And invite Jesus to do what only He can do.

"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." —Philippians 1:6

He'll carry your work too. Bring the willingness—He brings the power.

You already have more wisdom than you give yourself credit for.

You've walked with God. You've seen miracles. You've comforted friends. Studied the Word. Prayed for the hurting. You've watched the Holy Spirit work through you.

That's not just life experience. That's spiritual formation.

The enemy would love to convince you that unless you have a PhD, you're not qualified. But God is not looking at your resume—He's looking at your heart.

If you've been faithful in the hidden places, friend, you're ready for the next place.

Someone is waiting for your obedience. This one gets me every time:

There's someone out there today crying, struggling, praying, pleading for help. And guess what? You have exactly what they need. And they'll never receive it… unless you say yes.

You don't need more certifications to be effective. You don't need 10,000 followers to be impactful.

You just need to show up.

Because your yes could change someone's entire future. What if you are their answered prayer?

So I'm asking you right now—not if you feel ready—but:

    Are you willing?

Willing to say, Yes, God. Send me. Yes, God. I'll go. Yes, God. Use me—even if my voice shakes.

Because everything you've lived through—everything you've overcome—every little piece of wisdom God has poured into you…

    It was all for something.

You're not too late. You're not too broken. You're not unprepared. You are right on time.

Let this be your confirmation. Your divine push. Let this be your yes moment.

If today's message stirred your heart, do one more thing:

Subscribe. Leave a review. And share this episode with someone else who's been stuck in the lie of "not ready yet."

TRANSCRIPT: Let me be direct. If you already have my Healing the Grieving Brain guide and journal and you're trying to process grief without coaching frameworks, you're only doing part of the work. And I don't want you settling for half healed when God is calling you to full restoration. And if you don't have the guide or journal yet, kindly press pause.

Go back to my Christian Coaching School podcast episode from last week and start there. This one's for those who are ready to go deeper and get real transformation. Welcome to the Christian Coaching School podcast. I'm your host, Doctor Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator, and the number one authority on Spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003, and if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind—let's go.

Welcome back to the Christian Coaching School podcast, where we pair Spirit-led wisdom with strategic tools to help you rise from life's hardest places. I'm Doctor Leelo Bush, and in today's episode, we're going to talk about something that's often overlooked but absolutely essential: the frameworks that unlock the true power of your healing process. But first, I want you to hear from two of my students who have walked this path.

First, Kelly Lamanteer, a recent graduate, told us: I had been diagnosed with grief induced panic disorder. That stopped me dead in my tracks. It overtook every aspect of my life. I will never forget the freedom I felt when Doctor Leelo stated about how we can come to identify with our pain. That was the key I needed to unlock the last prison door.

Through this program, God brought pockets of lingering pain to the surface and healed them. And Gloria Van Leer Smith shared this: Doctor Bush's program gave me the strength to press forward and the knowledge to unlock my brain to understand joy on a whole different level. I also learned a new way to help my husband. And now he's come to the Lord. I know this program helped me through this. I was so close to giving up.

These aren't just stories. They're actual proof. And I want this kind of breakthrough for you too. But to get there, you need more than just tools. You need a process. Now, let's zoom out for a moment and talk about what's really going on behind the scenes.

When you're grieving, when we experience deep loss, our brains get flooded with stress chemicals—cortisol, adrenaline and others—that were designed for short term survival, not long term healing. Your brain, trying to protect you, shifts into crisis mode. It starts prioritizing safety over joy and protection over peace. And as a result, your emotional regulation gets knocked off balance.

You might feel foggy, exhausted, on edge, or like you've lost your sense of direction. Even your physical body can start reacting with aches, digestive issues, fatigue, or insomnia. It's not just your imagination. That's the neurological impact of grief.

But here's the hope. Our brains are plastic. That means they're designed to adapt, rewire, and change. Our brains can actually build new thought pathways when given the right input: new thoughts, healthy behaviors, and repeated truth. And this is not just wishful thinking—it's science. God created our brains with the ability to renew themselves. And Romans 12:2 tells us plainly: "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

See, this promise from thousands of years ago, now backed by science, is our current reality. But this rewiring doesn't happen by accident. It happens through intentional steps. Just like repeated trauma can rewire your brain toward fear and sadness, repeated truth and practice can rewire it back toward peace, hope, and even joy. That's what the Healing the Grieving Brain process is all about. And it's why the coaching frameworks are the next crucial piece. They give you a repeatable process that reinforces healing one layer at a time.

Let's talk more about why you need coaching frameworks. Because even if you've read every word of the guide and completed every page of the journal, you could still miss the full transformation if you don't have the structure that ties it all together. It's probably no surprise that grief scrambles your focus. It clouds your decision making. It buries thought errors deep where you can't see them.

And that's exactly why these frameworks matter. They give you two life changing perspectives to work from. First, your internal experience—the raw, honest thoughts and emotions you bring to the table—and then the coaching lens: a strategic, truth focused way to process and redirect those thoughts for healing and clarity. Without these, you'll miss key insights. You might feel better—and that's great—but you won't be completely free.

The frameworks help you process grief deeply and completely, with nothing overlooked. And the best part? You'll know exactly what to do next, every step of the way, because these frameworks will support you regardless of your circumstances.

If you already have the Healing the Grieving Brain Guide and journal, we'll be watching your inbox. We'll be sending you a special email soon with a link to get your coaching frameworks. They're simple, powerful, and very affordable, because I never want the cost to be the reason someone stays stuck in their grief. We don't leave anyone behind. Not in my community.

But listen closely—if you don't have your guide and journal yet, this isn't the episode for you. Head back to griefcoachyou.com/healing and grab them now. They are your first step.

And my friend, this isn't just another workbook. This is about rebuilding your life on purpose, with clarity, with biblical truth, and with a proven neuroscience-based process that helps you feel like you again. Frameworks don't just accelerate healing—they make it stick. They help you to retrain your brain, restore emotional clarity, and rebuild your faith from the inside out.

Today, you've heard the proof. You've heard what happens when someone takes these tools seriously. And I don't share this lightly. You see, I've walked through grief myself more than once, from more directions than I ever imagined. Loss. Betrayal. Devastation. And through it all—God met me. He didn't just comfort me. He taught me. He showed me truths that the world doesn't talk about.

He gave me insight not just for survival, but for renewal. What I'm sharing with you through this guide and the journal and now the coaching frameworks—these aren't theories. They're revelations. They're spiritual blueprints paired with evidence-based science. And they've already helped countless people break free from the fog of grief and step into a life they thought they had lost forever.

I give God all the glory for this work. I thank him for using my pain to birth something that heals others. And I am deeply grateful that he chose me to carry this message to you. Lives are being changed every single day through these tools, and I want yours to be one of them. You are not here by accident.

You were led to this moment. And I want you to walk through it boldly, knowing there's a clear spirit led path forward. Because healing isn't just possible—it's promised.

So stay close. Watch your inbox. We're going to walk this out together. One thought, one page, one breakthrough at a time.

I'm Doctor Leelo Bush, and you're not alone. Your healing matters. And the tools you need are finally here.

TRANSCRIPT: A couple of days ago, I was scrolling through my social media feed when a photo of a beautiful middle-aged couple caught my eye. They looked so happy together that I stopped to read the post. That's when I realized it was written by a man sharing about his deceased wife. Although it had been years since she passed, he was still unable to move forward.

Trapped by his own thought patterns and false beliefs about grief, believing that grief was a life sentence that he could never escape, it was heartbreaking to see. I'm uniquely qualified to speak to this because grief coaching has been a central focus of my research, curriculum development, and professional training for well over a decade. In fact, I've created several of the most effective hybrid modalities for grief recovery available today.

As I read his words, I knew exactly what could help him. But because it was a group post, I wasn't allowed to reach out privately. Group rules, you know. This wasn't the first time I've come across someone experiencing such profound grief and felt helpless to intervene. And sadly, this is far from an isolated situation. Grief is everywhere, affecting lives silently and often unnoticed.

The good news is there are excellent solutions, and real recovery is absolutely possible. But more people, including you, need to be trained to provide that help. As you may already know, the signature training programs I've created are rooted in Scripture, and yet they also integrate evidence-based science like neuroscience, cognitive behavioral strategies, and related fundamentals. I am passionate about these methods because today's scientific discoveries confirm truths revealed in biblical prophecy thousands of years ago. And these strategies have now been tested and proven to work.

And here's the most exciting part. I've recently created a new guide that anyone can afford to help you bring these powerful tools to yourself and others. So stay with me, because later in this episode, I will share exactly how you can get your hands on it.

Welcome to the Christian Coaching School podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator, and the number one authority on spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003, and if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind—let's go.

Hi, I'm Dr. Leelo Bush and I am so glad you're here today. I know your time is precious and it means the world to me that you have chosen to spend part of it with me for this very important episode. Let me ask you something. What if the single most important thing you could do as a coach wasn't about helping your clients set goals or build better habits, but about knowing how to guide them through the darkest, most painful moments of their lives?

And what if the greatest gift you could ever offer your clients was the ability to help them heal when grief strikes? Because sooner or later, it will.

You see, grief doesn't only come from the death of a loved one. It can spring from a wide variety of life events: a painful divorce, the loss of a job, the heartbreak of infertility, a devastating diagnosis, or even the silent, slow loss of watching someone you love fade during a long illness.

Sometimes grief arrives in an instant, like the recent flash flood in Kerrville, Texas, which changed lives forever in just moments. And here's what you need to know: Even if you're a tender-hearted person who struggles with hearing the details of others' pain, you don't have to rehash the stories for healing to happen. In fact, reliving these stories is rarely helpful anyway.

You need to know that the solutions for grief, no matter the origin, are the same. And our culture desperately needs more people like you equipped with these tools to help. When grief strikes, you became a coach or counselor because you wanted to help people change their lives for the better. But here's the reality you can't ignore: every client you will ever work with will face loss—and loss doesn't wait for a convenient time.

It shows up in the middle of breakthroughs, successes, and milestones, and it has the power to unravel everything you've been building together. I want you to imagine coaching a client who has just landed their dream job or finally found hope in a new relationship, only to have it shattered overnight by the death of a parent, the loss of a beloved pet, or a devastating health diagnosis.

What happens next if you don't know how to help them process their grief? Every bit of momentum you've created can come to a sudden halt. Your client may withdraw, lose trust, or even abandon the work entirely. And you could find yourself questioning your own ability—not because you're a bad coach, but because you're unprepared for what grief does to a person, their overall physiology, and particularly to their brain.

That's why I believe with every fiber of my being that every coach and counselor—yes, including you—needs to understand how to help clients through grief, because grief is not a niche issue. It's a universal human experience that can emerge from countless situations. It shows up anytime there is a significant unwanted change or loss.

Yet most coaches—and even many counselors—don't know this. And because they don't, they miss the signs of grief in their clients. Or worse, they unintentionally make it harder for them to heal. When you tell someone to stay busy or suggest they move on without giving them the tools to actually process what has happened, you can end up deepening their despair and making them feel alone in their pain.

In my own journey, I have seen this over and over. As someone who has specialized in grief coaching for more than a decade, I am part of many grief support groups online. Every day, my feed fills with heartbreaking posts from people who are lost in grief. They share their stories again and again, hoping for relief, but getting nothing more than sympathy or empty platitudes from people who mean well but simply don't know how to help.

Group leaders try their best, but they don't know what they don't know. And it's not their fault. It is exactly why real training matters. That's why I created the grief coaching programs at Grief Coach U. I wanted to give you what so many well-meaning people—and yes, so many professionals—are missing: a proven, practical, and compassionate approach to helping people heal.

When you enroll in my programs, you will learn exactly how to recognize the signs of grief, how to create a safe space for your clients to process what they're going through, and how to guide them through healing using methods that truly work. You'll learn what happens to the brain and body during grief so you can work with your client's natural responses instead of fighting against them.

You'll learn how to identify the thought patterns that keep people stuck—thoughts like "I'll never be okay again," or "I should have done more," or even the fallacy that somehow love equals grief. To be clear, it never has, and it never will. You'll learn how to help clients replace those with truth and hope so they can move forward.

You'll learn how to bring faith-based encouragement to those who want it, how to set meaningful healing goals, and how to support your clients as they begin to rebuild their lives.

If you choose our dual certification program, you will go even deeper—gaining the business and marketing training you need to integrate grief support into your practice or build a specialized coaching business. You'll also have ongoing support that helps you succeed long after you complete the course.

I want you to think about what happens when you don't have the skills. Imagine you're working with a client on improving their marriage, but suddenly they lose a parent. If you don't know how to help them navigate their grief, the relationship you've been helping them heal could quickly unravel.

Or maybe you're helping an executive with leadership skills, and they unexpectedly lose their job. Without tools to address their grief, your client may spiral into depression, anxiety, or self-doubt—and all your joint efforts could go to waste.

When you don't know how to address grief, your coaching or counseling becomes incomplete, and your clients suffer. But when you do know how, you become the hero they need. You become the coach or counselor they will always remember because you were there when it mattered most.

And here's something else you may not know—grief coaching isn't just a moral or professional imperative. It can also be financially sustainable as a niche. Estate funds or life insurance payouts are often intended to help survivors restore their well-being, and it's not unusual for insurance benefits to cover grief support.

This isn't about taking advantage of someone's pain—it's about offering a service that genuinely helps people heal and honoring their need for support during one of the hardest times of their lives.

Before I finish, I want to speak directly to those of you who lead support groups—whether it's a grief support group, recovery group, a caregiving circle, or any other community where people are navigating loss. Your members need more than sympathy—they need real, effective help. And you deserve to have the training that empowers you to truly make a difference.

If you lead a group, I invite you to apply for our Kingdom Impact Scholarship at griefcoachu.com. Tell us about your group, who you serve, and what you hope to accomplish. You could be eligible for significant savings off your tuition in one of our grief coaching programs, because your group deserves a leader who can bring real healing—and I want to help you become that leader.

I also want to tell you about a brand new resource I've created that can radically transform the grief recovery process for you and your clients. It's called Healing the Grieving Brain: How to Overcome Thought Errors to Find Peace and Fulfillment, and you can find it now at griefcoachu.com/healing.

This guide will show you how thoughts create feelings, and why we need to intercept unproductive thought patterns that can deepen hopelessness and prolong grief. As usual, links mentioned in this episode will also be provided in show notes for you.

You will discover exactly how to identify and correct the false beliefs that keep people stuck—so proper healing can finally take place. You'll receive practical exercises, and we've even added an optional journal with a daily emotion tracking tool. This resource helps you and your clients experience real progress and see more good days than bad as time goes on.

So let me leave you with this: Grief doesn't have to break your clients forever. With the right knowledge, you can guide them toward healing, hope, and lasting joy. And when you do, you won't just be another coach or counselor. You will be the hero who showed up when they needed it most. And that's the kind of impact you were meant to make. And that's the kind of legacy you can create—starting today.

So if this conversation has opened your eyes to the reality of grief and the desperate need for real solutions, I want to invite you to take the first step now. Transcript: Let me ask you something. What if the very thing you've been quietly avoiding, or maybe even fearing, is actually the exact tool God intends to use to multiply your Kingdom impact? What if the door that seems uncertain is actually the one God is holding open for you?

Back in 2022, we lost everything in our house to Hurricane Ian. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, as you might imagine. But during the time that we were rebuilding — after we got power restored and internet, which was out for at least a month, as I recall — I became very curious about this new AI thing. I had plenty of time on my hands because we were living in an RV in the middle of our old neighborhood that was piled high with hurricane debris, and I honestly had nothing else to do.

Since then, I've been working with AI every single day for nearly three years, and what I've discovered along that journey might just surprise you. Because what started as curiosity mixed with fear has become a powerful, Spirit-led mission.

Today we are going beyond fear. We're stepping into discernment, dominion, and destiny. And by the end of this episode, you'll be able to see AI not just as a convenience or curiosity, but as a calling — a Kingdom tool waiting to be redeemed by those bold enough to use it well.

And yes, I've created something cool to equip you, but you'll need to stay with me through the episode to hear about it.

But wait — quick detour before we begin. We switched email systems recently and if you didn't hear about it, that's kind of the issue. Our old provider gave us a heads-up before closing, and we asked everyone to join us. Many did, but some didn't — probably because, let's be honest, emails get missed or ignored.

So if you used to hear from us and miss the updates — or if you want to start getting the good stuff — just go to pcca.org/stay. Once we get back on track, I'm sending a special gift to everyone on the new list. It's quick, it's free, and most importantly… it will keep us connected.

Now let's continue to the good stuff.

Welcome to the Christian Coaching School Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a Master Coach, author, curriculum creator, and the #1 authority on Spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003, and if you're ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind — let's go.

Welcome back to the podcast that equips you with Spirit-led strategies for navigating today's world. I'm Dr. Leelo Bush, Christian coach, trainer, curriculum creator, and someone who's been working daily with AI for almost three years now.

And I have to tell you — something has shifted. We're not just deciding anymore whether we'll engage with AI. That decision, in many ways, has already been made by our culture.

AI is here. It's present in our work, our ministries, our devices, and our homes. The question now is: Will Kingdom-minded leaders rise up and use it with wisdom? Or will we stand back and let the world define how it's used?

Because here's the reality: AI integration into daily life is accelerating. And if we don't adapt, we risk becoming irrelevant. Not because our message has lost power, but because we didn't evolve our method.

The Gospel, of course, remains unchanged — but how we deliver it must reflect the times we live in.

Let's look back for a moment. Think about the early church. Paul didn't just preach in synagogues — he went into marketplaces, into homes, into public arenas. He brought the Gospel wherever the people were.

Now let's fast forward to today. Where are people now? They're on screens. They're on social media. They're in digital classrooms. And more and more, they are interacting with AI.

What used to be experimental is now everyday. Artificial Intelligence is writing job descriptions, legal documents. It's helping therapists streamline client notes. It's even being used to create music, devotionals — and yes — spiritual content.

Believe it or not, there are people training AI models to interpret dreams. That's happening.

And if the world is shaping AI with worldly frameworks… we have to ask: Who's shaping it with Kingdom truth?

    Maybe that someone is you.

Now, I know some of the fears that rise up:

    • Will AI replace my role as a coach?

    • Will it take my voice as a writer or leader?

    • Will people choose a chatbot over real connection?

Let's settle something right now. AI isn't here to replace your anointing. It can't replicate the presence of God in your sessions. It can't discern with the Spirit. It can't love, pray, or intercede.

But — and this is important — it might replace your efficiency if you don't learn how to use it.

People aren't choosing between you and AI. They're choosing between overwhelm and clarity. And when AI can provide clarity faster — you have to position yourself as someone who can do both: Offer truth with clarity and excellence.

Your message isn't under threat from automation. It's under threat from stagnation — being stuck in old delivery methods while the world moves forward.

You don't have to master every AI tool. But you do need to understand how to work with them in a way that supports your mission.

Now I want to bring you behind the curtain for a moment. Something most people don't know is that AI has become part of almost everything I produce — podcasts, email copy, digital downloads, and more.

But here's the key: It never replaces my voice, God's purpose, or our mission. What it does is help me research faster. It helps me sort through messy ideas when I've got too many tabs open in my brain. It offers me draft structures that I can mold. It suggests variations I might not have considered. And sometimes, it helps refine my language so that I sound more like myself.

Isn't that crazy? It helps me be more of me.

It's not about letting a machine speak for me. It's about partnering with a tool that gives me more space to do the parts only I can do — like deep mentoring, prayer, spiritual discernment, and meaningful connection.

Over time, I've developed quiet workflows that take what used to be 6 to 10 hours of work — or even longer — and compress them down to just a couple. Not because I'm cutting corners… but because I am cutting clutter.

And that clarity has become a huge blessing.

Lately, something fascinating has been happening: Christian professionals — coaches, counselors, ministry leaders — have been reaching out to me privately. They're asking how to integrate AI into their work ethically, spiritually, and wisely. They're not chasing the latest tech trend — they're looking for alignment. They want to stay faithful to their calling while also staying effective in a modern world.

And I believe that's exactly why God led me down this path — not just as a teacher or creator, but as a trailblazer. Someone who can say: There's a way to do this right. Follow me.

    So let's talk practically.

What does using AI look like for Christian professionals? It looks like using AI to draft devotionals, then prayerfully editing them into something you'd be proud to publish. It looks like starting with an AI-generated email draft and then weaving in your testimony, your tone, your message. It looks like preparing for a coaching session by asking AI to help you think of thought-provoking questions, and then filtering those through Scripture and prayer.

Remember: AI is not your boss. You are the boss. It even looks like brainstorming new content — where AI gives you a structure, and you breathe life into it with Spirit-led insight. It looks like showing up on social media with consistent, biblically sound content — because AI handled the first draft.

    That's not compromise. That's stewardship.

Scripture + AI = Innovation with Integrity.

This is where it really gets exciting.

Proverbs 8:12 says: "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions."

Witty inventions. That's what AI is.

It's not demonic. It's a tool. And when wielded by the wise, it becomes an amplifier of what God's already doing through you.

God is not caught off guard by innovation — He invented it. And He invites us to use what's available to multiply what's eternal.

Here's my vision: I see a wave coming. A quiet revival. A rising of Spirit-filled coaches, leaders, and creators who aren't afraid of the future — they're shaping it.

They're using AI to spread the Gospel wider, disciple people faster, and build Kingdom solutions in record time. Not because they've sold out… but because they've stepped up. They've said YES to learning new skills and stewarding them with integrity.

And I believe you are one of them.

If you've been nodding along today, you'll love what I have for you.
