  • Christian Devotions Speak UP! with Kevin Levar
Gospel music singer/songwriter Kevin LeVar, is truly a man after God’s own heart. He brings a new sound of worship to the gospel music industry produced by his commitment to prayer. A man on a mission, Kevin LeVar is determined to reach the world through his debut project entitled, “Let’s Come Together” (2008).
“I wanted to really reach a lot of different demographics and didn’t want to stylistically paint myself in a corner,” says the New York-bound, WashingtonD.C. native of the progressive project. “I wanted to fit any environment we might go in as a band and I found the songs coming straight from the Lord. We serve such a creative God that all different shades and flavors came out within the music and it’s my desire to be as diverse as possible.”
Kevin’s single “A Heart That Forgives” from "Let’s Come Together” was used as the Theme song for the A Heart That Forgives Campaign in 2009 - a movement to promote freedom through forgiveness and is a call to action to inspire individuals, families, and communities around the world to reconcile and come together. The message and sound of Kevin’s music will usher the listener into an unforgettable worship experience that inspires, encourages and uplifts them. Discover more about Kevin at www.kevinlevar.com.

  • Christian Devotions Speak UP! with Jim Morris
Join us this week on Christian Devotions Speak UP! as host Scott McCausey interviews former Major League Baseball pitcher, and the star about whom the movie The Rookie was made, Jim Morris.
Jim "The Rookie" Morris' has an inspirational and transformational message about following your dreams and having a game plan for success. His life story is the inspiration behind the Walt Disney blockbuster film, "The Rookie," starring Dennis Quaid.
To motivate his rag tag high school baseball team, Jim, as a 35-year-old schoolteacher, made a bet that he would try out for the big leagues if his team won a district championship. When Jim's team won, he followed through on his promise, going to a tryout where he threw 12 consecutive pitches at 98 mph! Three months later in front of family and his high school team, Jim achieved his dream of pitching in the big leagues by striking out the first hitter he faced. That’s what Jim Morris accomplished and—it doesn’t matter who you are—we can all relate to fulfilling our goals and dreams. Jim Morris’ story takes place on a baseball diamond, but it’s really about life.
Jim Morris is a great speaker who inspires and motivates his audience with honesty and humor. He is candid about his early-life failures and he uses them to provide a roadmap for success in business, family, and community. His is an uplifting, heroic tale about overcoming a tough upbringing. One of the most magical things about Jim Morris is how he takes his stories and weaves them into a roadmap for changing all aspects of your life for the better, whether in business, family-life, or within your community.  If you would like more information about booking Jim, check out www.jimtherookiemorris.com.

  • Christian Devotions Speak UP! with the Peasall Sisters
Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP!as host Scott McCausey interviews acclaimed recording artists, the Peasall Sisters.
Over the past five years, the Peasall Sisters—Sarah, Hannah, and Leah—have earned Grammy and CMA awards for their part in the blockbuster movie and soundtrack, O Brother, Where Art Thou? They’ve performed at such esteemed venues as Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall with the acclaimed Down from the Mountain Tour, in addition to the Grand Ole Opry. But even with all that time in the spotlight, the Peasalls are still all about family.
Their father Mike was the music minister at their church and plays upright bass. Their Mom sang alto in the choir. They started singing in children’s church at age 4, which led to singing and performing at nursing homes, fairs, churches, etc. When a friend told them that movie producers were looking for children to play George Clooney’s children in a new movie, the Peasalls went to an open audition. They didn’t get the on-screen part, but the producers liked their 3-part harmony and they joined the stellar cast and soundtrack.
This month is the last the girls will be performing as a trio. Join us as Christian Devotions Speak UP thanks the Peasalls for blessing so many people with their musical talents and discusses what’s next in their journey for the Lord.
