Sometimes we feel defeated.
Whether the mundane parts of daily life get to us, our day in and day out responsibilities, jobs, etc. start to weigh us down, we can always look back to this scripture.
God gives us hope that we can make it through anything because the victory already belongs to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
God is a God of 11th hour miracles so even when all seems lost, just keep the faith and God will come through for you.
Sometimes we don’t understand what is going on, but most of the time in hindsight we can see God’s hand working for us and keeping us the entire time we were struggling.

Prayer: God please help me to focus on you in the midst of all of my battles. Help me to know that you have already given me victory in Jesus Christ and help me to be assured that the victory is on its way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sometimes when we face situations in life, things just don’t add up.
We may have a vision of something that God has promised us, but when we look at that and think about how it will come to pass, it may seem impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God! He has a different way of moving, thinking, and creating than we do!

He is omniscient and omnipresent, so it’s only natural that his ways are higher and beyond our comprehension sometimes.
When you’re looking forward to the promises God has for your life, and you are trying to understand things, it’s okay if you don’t totally grasp how it will happen.
Just have faith!

Faith is believing in the things that are unseen, but that you know are true and real.
Add your faith to the equation and watch what God will do in your life!
Prayer: Father God I know my ways and thoughts are not your ways of doing things. You know all and see all, so through faith, I trust that you will bring the work you started in me and in my life to full fruition in due time. Thank you for your promises and for taking care of everything in the Spirit realm to bring to pass your promises for us here on Earth. I love you, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’ve had friends in my life that didn’t feel complete or didn’t feel that they were doing the Lord’s work because they didn’t have a title like “Pastor” or “Deacon” or “Missionary”. My heart has always broken for them because obviously not everyone is going to be on a church board or have a title in front of a bunch of people. This doesn’t mean that your work that you do for God means any less! Imagine the church as a body how it is described in the Bible. Some people might have more obvious jobs, like the eyes or mouth, but the pinky toe is just as important! Without balance, we can’t move forward. A body can’t walk properly without toes! We all have to work together to keep the entire body functioning properly. We won’t all have the more flashy titles or the jobs with obvious recognition, but we can’t be worried about that. We must continue to do all things as we’re doing them for Christ. Even going to your job on a daily basis you can make a difference in the lives of the people you come in contact with.

Prayer: Lord please help me to do every job, every task, every thing in life as if I’m doing it for Christ. I know that you will bless the work of my hands and that you will use it to serve the body of Christ in ways I may never know about. Thank you for all you do for me and for giving me purpose even in the small things! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Our words carry much weight in the physical realm, as well as the spiritual realm. Whatever we speak out affects those around us and also shifts the heavens. The word promises us that when we bind up things here on Earth, the heavens will back us up as well. We have to be careful what we speak into existence because our words are very powerful and just as a rudder steers an enormous ship our tongue and words steer the path of our life. I would like to encourage you to speak positivity and blessings and prosperity into your own life as well as the lives of those around you.

Prayer: God help me to use my words to speak life into situations around me. Help me to guard my words from causing negative ripples in this world and in the heavenly realms. Help me to always remember that the power of life and death are in the tongue. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Putting On The Full Armor of God | Daily Devotional

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. | Ephesians 6:11

This is probably one of the most quoted scriptures in the Bible. One thing we have to remember is that WE HAVE ARMOR! Don’t forget to put on the armor of God every day. These pieces are described in Ephesians as follows: loins girt with truth (belt of truth), breastplate of righteousness, shoes with the preparation of the gospel of peace (peace), shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit/word of God. Let us take truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God into all things that we do. These will be our strength and our protection.

Prayer: Thank you father that you put in place things for us to meditate on and take with us each day to offer us protection from the enemy. We know the battle we fight isn’t against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Help us always remember to fight in the spirit with the full protection you gave us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. | Proverbs 27:19

What does your life reflect? Are you a person that people can turn to if they need help? Are you the one people hide from because you spread the gossip of so-and-so’s failed marriage around town? Your heart will overflow into your actions and your life. Matthew 12:34 says the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. If your heart is full of hate and malice, that’s what your words and your actions in life will take the shape of. On the flip side of the coin, if you speak life and perform acts of kindness, your life will be a reflection of God’s love and great mercy. If you find that your life isn’t quite reflecting the image that you want to portray, spend some time in a quiet place seeking God’s face. Ask him to touch and change your heart into a heart for helping others. He is faithful to answer, but sometimes we have to quiet our busy lives enough to be able to hear that still small voice. I encourage you to seek out ways to help others and be a blessing to them. God will surely reward you for it and your life will be a reflection of beauty and grace.

Prayer: God touch my heart today. Give me a heart for all things good and pleasant. Help me to bear the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) in all that I do. I want to be a beautiful reflection of your love every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
