Tonight, I am sitting down with Jeremy Hausotter, founder of Le Nouvel Esprit, a project which seeks to find a balance in modern Catholic discourse. Recently, Jeremy published a book, "The Opium of Happiness: A Catholic Approach to Marijuana: A Commentary on Paragraph 2291 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church".
We will discuss the Catholic approach to drugs, as well as talk about the Second Vatican Council, which remains a controversial topic.
Hausotter writes on the website about page that, "I am a high school mathematics instructor. I possess a BS in Applied Mathematics from Eastern Oregon University, MA in Theology and MA in Philosophy, both from Franciscan University."
My interests span across many subjects including phenomenology, existentialism, personalism, theology of the body, bioethics, metaphysics, 19th century Russian literature, classics, and movies."
