My YouTube Channel:
This is a portion of a very long conversation I had with 4 JWs at their magazine carts. Like with the other episodes, these conversations (along with many others) can also be found on my YouTube channel called Janice dJ.
In this recording I mention "previous videos". Most of them you can hear the recordings of on this podcast, but others are on my YouTube Channel: Janice dJ.
In this one, you'll hear lots of the usual JW comments like about words changing meaning over time, "new light", deflections to subjects like hell and the Trinity, etc. They were friendly, but it was hard to try and respond to all of them sometimes. So, I let a lot of it go. https://archive.org/details/TheFinishedMystery/page/n1/mode/2up
A little while after I had that short encounter with the two JWs who came to my house, I ran into one of them at their magazine carts and got to have another short chat with her. Most of our conversation was personal, so I won't share that, obviously. But this part was interesting.
This is still from back when JWs went door to door, preaching the Watchtower. Of course I was unprepared, as they always show up unannounced, lol! But I did ask them about who their mediator was. They left pretty quickly after that, but I prey they looked into it and saw the Watchtower's hypocrisy.
This is my favourite cart crash that I've done. It was impromptu, but I really like how it went. I wish the sound quality could have been better, but they stand on the side of a busy road, which made conversation difficult and recording even more difficult. (Could that be on purpose??)
The great interlinear that I mentioned: https://www.blueletterbible.org/
A really helpful video with more info about 1914 and 607 BCE: https://youtu.be/Cl7q8J6cpVQ
A very light, friendly discussion about The Finished Mystery and a few other topics that they wanted to jump around to, including Proverbs 4. I didn't get into arguments with them on anything, which worked out well because I was then able to get into a more in depth discussion with the lady sometime later. That second conversation is the three part "Cart Chat" series that I shared a while ago.

There were several times again that I missed some opportunities to probe with important questions and challenge them on some outlandish claims they were making. It's a learning process! (In case it's not clear, the lady was very kind to point out that a wasp was after me at about the 5:24 min. mark.)
Listening to this conversation I notice a number of areas where I let them deflect or change definitions to one degree or another. I still need to be more prepared for that! But it's a great learning experience. Hopefully I'll get to chat with them again some time. I should have asked them what I need to do in order to survive Armageddon.
I was still very new to "cart crashes" when I encountered these very nice people one day when out for a walk. I asked them some pretty tough questions that they clearly didn't like. But they were still friendly and continued to chat with me for some time before deciding they were done. And even then they were nice about it :)
This is part 1 of 3.
