[Original airdate: 4/9/24] Mary Danielsen talks to Bill Perkins of Compass International about a range of topics that he covers in his Steel on Steel series of books. He hosted the first Steeling the Mind Conference in Vail in 1993, and moved to Idaho to take a job with Koinonia House (headed by Chuck Missler) that same year. In 1994 he founded Compass, and proceeded to lead trips to Israel and has since hosted 50 conferences with a tremendous variety of popular and knowledgable guests. Bill has always had his eye on the blessed hope and is a staunch defender of the Pre-Trib view of the rapture. We will discuss the increase of knowledge, Israel, and observe the culture here in the first half of 2024. All of his resources can be purchased at the extensive Compass online bookstore.

Mary Danielsen welcomes back JB Hixson to discuss the current meltdown of the global economic system. Many in the economic field have been warning us for the past few years that the bottom was going to fall out of the current sleight-of-hand called our money system, and it is a date with destiny that the nations of the world will face sooner or later. Money and exchange rates are as old as civilization and we have gone from a barter system of commodities, to coinage, to paper – and now a short trip from credit to crypto. The book of Revelation refers to a last days system that will be tied with a spiritual decision in some eye-popping verses that nearly every person has heard of in their lifetime, relative to the Mark of the Beast. As of this week, we find ourselves hearing about a very jittery market. What does that portend, and how should we prepare, if at all? A timely conversation that points to the soon return of Jesus and the judgment of the nations. JB has a chapter on this subject in his recent book, “Spirit of the False Prophet”, which can be found here.  As Clinton crony James Carville once said, “It’s the economy, stupid!”

Mike takes no hostages as he delineates those issues such as good works, baptismal regeneration, and the bedrock issues that Roman Catholics have with the inerrancy of God’s Word. We will talk about religious zeal without knowledge and the numbness of heart and soul that results in false hope and being inoculated to the truth.  Mike was a devout Roman Catholic for over 30 years, but that changed in 1981 while attending an evangelical seminar when he realized the Bible is the supreme authority for knowing truth. Proclaiming the Gospel has developed many resources to equip and encourage Christians to be effective witnesses to Roman Catholics.

Their mission to get bibles into the hands of those still living in that region is going strong. Children, prisoners, average citizens – coming to learn of God’s plan of the ages to redeem mankind through the shed blood of our Savior. In the West, news of bibles and copies of the Ten Commandments going into public schools in Louisiana and Oklahoma is like a fresh wind blowing through the rotting school culture of the times. We talk about their publishing arm, new materials for children, and all the ways God is using EEM. An encouraging hour of good news. No matter how dark the hour, God is working.

What is a barbarian and how do we spot them here in 2024? When we think of something that is “barbaric”, we might think of an act so revolting and reprehensible we can hardly imagine how it might happen in a “civilized society”. Are we a civilized society? Judging from social media and the general nature of the commentary therein, one would have to say no, we have lost all civility. Why is this? What happened? Who are these “barbarians at the gates”? There is a new type of militancy ruling the world, and it can be found in every corner: religious militancy, ideological militancy, and your garden variety anarchists. Great change is coming to our planet, to unite us all into one big tolerant mass. The end result will be the judgment of the nations, not the kumbaya state the barbarians seem to hope for. [Original airdate: 3/22/24] Mary Danielsen chats with Don Shenk, Executive Director for The Tide Radio Ministry. The Tide has been around for over 75 years and has done remarkable work in getting the gospel out on radio in multiple languages and to many unreached people.  Don was born to missionary parents in what was then known as Rhodesia, and prior to joining The Tide in 2001 served as a missionary teaching at a Bible School in Zimbabwe, Africa. In addition to lecturing in the classroom at Ekuphileni Bible Institute, he served as Academic Dean, Director of Student Ministries, and also developed and implemented a manual skills training program to enable rural pastors to minister bi-vocationally. Through twenty eight years living in Zimbabwe, and numerous visits to Africa, Eastern Europe and India as a ministry administrator and resource person for church conferences and leadership training events, Don has acquired a wealth of international, cross cultural ministry experience. As the world becomes more and more of a global village, Don’s greatest passion is to reach people for Jesus Christ and to bring them into the Church. The harvest is ripe; the workers are few.

That we are in the last days is obvious to all but those who are professional scoffers who question whether God even is capable of keeping His Word. “Where is the promise of His coming?”,  they ask, wanting to keep their lifestyle in tact in spite of overwhelming evidence that God is winding things down. We only need to look at today’s headlines to see and understand that things are unraveling at an alarming pace. Today Mary looks at the Paris 2024 opener fallout on a continent dotted with ancient cathedrals, empty monuments to existential angst. Europeans need to get out more if they don’t understand how blasphemy is offensive to a quarter of the world’s population. We also look at Israel at this point and how Hezbollah figures in Iran’s plans to blow the place up. We will continue our expose on the new antisemitism and how it is infiltrating the right side of the aisle through Tucker Carlson and Candice Owen; the origins of the current protests, being much earlier than one might think. Then we look at Blackstone’s purchase of Ancestry.com and finally, a look at the UN’s September “Summit of the Future”.  And you should see what was left behind on the cutting room floor!
