The success of a nation does not lie in the coronation of a king or the election of a president. It isn’t found in military strength or a thriving economy. True success is found when a nation bows before King Jesus in humble submission to His will. The Word of God is clear: a nation’s downfall comes when it rejects God and His Son, and history, both in scripture and beyond, consistently shows this truth. Today, we find ourselves in a time where many are calling for change, for power shifts, and for solutions to society’s problems. Yet the one thing that truly matters is being ignored. Our nation needs to resolve to make God great again, instead of turning away from Him.

The popular image of Jesus is often one of gentleness and endless patience, but Scripture provides a fuller picture. Jesus was no stranger to using harsh language, sarcasm, and what would be considered rudeness by our modern standards. Yet, He always spoke with purpose, never for personal offense but to expose hypocrisy, confront falsehood, and challenge those whose priorities were misplaced. In several instances, Jesus acted in ways that both the people of His time and today’s society would consider rude. However, His actions and words were perfectly aligned with divine justice and truth.

In our modern world, the line between kindness and dishonesty has blurred. Somewhere along the way, people began confusing kindness with lying, thinking they are doing good by sparing feelings or avoiding conflict. This is not only a misunderstanding but also a dangerous path that undermines truth and weakens the very foundation of honest communication.

It is a mistake to think that a marriage lasting 20, 30, or even 50 years was sustained by luck. If that’s how someone sees it, they are missing the entire point of what marriage truly is. A marriage that lasts, and I mean really lasts, doesn’t happen because two people floated along in some fairytale. It takes grit, determination, and a whole lot of work. The world today might say, “If it’s too hard, get out.” That mindset has caused untold damage to homes and souls. But those who keep their vows know better. Marriage requires sacrifice, forgiveness, and—above all—stubborn will.

In the prayer recorded in John 17:14-16, Jesus, speaking to the Father, made a clear distinction between His disciples and the world. He said, "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." In these verses, we find a profound teaching on the Christian's place in the world and the necessity of maintaining a clear separation in conduct, thought, and allegiance.\

Amos, the prophet from Tekoa, asked a probing question in Amos 3:3 that resonates deeply with the relationship between man and God. He inquired, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Here, Amos was speaking directly to the spiritual condition of Israel, a people who had forsaken their covenant with God, choosing idolatry and sin over obedience and righteousness. The question Amos posed not only confronted their failure but also laid a foundational truth for all time: Agreement with God is necessary for fellowship.

The way we treat one another within the body of Christ is a matter of great spiritual importance. When we talk about our walk with the Lord, it is necessary to consider how our actions and words impact our brethren. Causing a brother to fall, or stumble in their faith, is a serious offense, one that Jesus Himself spoke of with strong words.

One of the most pressing concerns for many Christians is the question of assurance—how can we know for certain that we are saved? Yet, the scriptures provide us with clear guidance on how we can be assured of our salvation in Christ. One of the key principles that grants us this assurance is the relationship between mercy and judgment.

In 2 Samuel 24:24, we encounter one of the clearest examples of the importance of sacrifice in worship. After David had sinned by numbering the people, God sent a plague upon Israel, and to stop the plague, David was instructed to build an altar and offer sacrifices. Araunah, the Jebusite, offered his threshing floor and oxen to David freely. Yet David, the man after God’s own heart, refused to accept it as a gift, stating, "Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing." David’s understanding of the nature of worship speaks to the essential truth that our offerings to God must be more than just superficial actions. They must reflect the cost and value we place on God.
