Christianity Now Narrations

This is a follow up from yesterday's episode about mechanical instruments of music offered to God in relation to psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. The question was a thought experiment that is designed to hang one on the horns of a dillema, since the command to greet one another with a holy kiss is specific then why do we not obey it today yet we draw a line of fellowship when it comes to mechanical instruments of music being offered to God with psalms, hymns, and spritual songs? There is a very simple answer to this. I am more than a little ashamed that I did not bring this out yesterday. I hope you tune in and consider what I have to say.

A friend of mine posted three posts about this subject posing some questions. They are good questions and are asked honestly. Sadly when folk ask questions like this they are usually labeled certain pejoratives. Many also say, this matter was settleted years ago, implying that we shold not be questioning it now. Well, I do not know about you but I do not blindly follow anyone including God, Himself. My Father does not expect such blind adherence and these men of old, no matter how great, are a far cry shory of my Father. I hope you will tune in and consider what I have to say on the matter. I pray you are enouraged, informed, and edified.

Well, our livestream went of topic in a hurry....kind of. We talked about the work of the church. We had an esoteric and eclectic conversation about mission work and such. The feedback from the listeners was good so hopefully you all will be blessed by the archive.

I have read the lyrics of this controverisal song by Jason Aldean. It absolutly is the height of foolishness to say it is promoting lynching. It is also hyper-racist and bigoted against black Americans to say that as well. All that aside, which we will discuss a litttle, is violence against a Christian answerable by violence and also right in the eyes of God? This is the crux of the matter for our discussion today. I hope you tune in and offer your comments and questions. You may be surprised as to what the Bible actually teaches on the subject.

One of the more interesting phrases in the Bible is "casting pearls before swine." In this episode I share some of my thoughts on the phrase from the perspective of Paul when he was being tried before the Jewish council recorded in Acts chapter 23. I hope I edify, inform, and encourage you with my thoughs on t his matter.

It is an easily discerned fact from the Bible that the truth, no matter how suppressed, will out. Even if it seems as if the whole world has lots its mind, the truth will reassert itself and establish dominance. It can not help but to do so as all truth is God's truth. In this epiosde we talk about some of the delusion from which folk seem to suffer and we will look at some Scriptrue along with some videos that illustrate our point. We hope you enjoy.

So often the Bible gets misinterpreted because of good honest folk surface reading and drawing conclusions out of context. In this episode we will look at the chapter of the Bible that deals with inspiration and notice one of the dangerous misconceptions that comes from a misinterpretation of it.
