Believing in Christianity killed our ability to think critically.
We talk about faith, and why it’s definitely not a virtue, as well as what it was like to have adults train us to believe in loads of nonsensical stories. We discuss some of the ways in which Christianity was training our brains to ignore contradictions, doubts, and criticism. We touch on the over-emphasis on authority, and how the Bible told us to not to trust ourselves but instead to trust those that “God put in authority” over us.
And finally, we discuss how Christianity is a closed, self-satisfying system that is essentially impervious to outside criticism. We’re so glad to be free.
