What does the Bible say about Christian fitness, body image, working out, health, and caring for your body? In this episode, we talk about exercise, discipline, aging, physical health, body stewardship, and when fitness can become an idol. We also discuss whether Christians can care too much about appearance and how believers should think biblically about the body.

Every church has a lean — a drift, a culture, a set of unwritten rules about who really belongs.
Tony and Dean dig into how that drift can turn a group of well-meaning Christians into modern-day Pharisees. It's a hard look at the difference between guarding truth and just guarding your tribe.
Come for the Matthew 23 gut-punch, stay for the conversation about what it actually looks like to keep the drawbridge down.

We've all been there — someone gets a little too passionate about their preferences, and suddenly their traditions become everyone else's commandments. In this episode, we dig into what it actually means to be a Pharisee, how it shows up today (music, lighting, dress code, "big Eva" doctrine wars), and why godly zeal so easily curdles into judgment if we're not careful.
We talk through Mark 7, the danger of turning Scripture into "Bible binoculars" instead of an x-ray on our own hearts, and how to hold real conviction without becoming the guy sledgehammering everyone else's style and method.

In this episode, we trace the 300-year history behind two very different streams of American Christianity — the reformed tradition and the revivalist tradition — and ask an honest question: why do we love one and quietly resent the other?

Word-for-word or thought-for-thought? KJV, NIV, ESV, NASB, NLT — does it actually matter which one you pick up? Tony and Dean get into why there are so many English Bible translations, what "literal" translation really means (and why it's not as simple as you think), the cultural pressure and quiet elitism around which version you use, and the handful of translations they'd actually tell you to avoid.
Watch to find out where the line is — and why it might matter less than you've been told.

In this episode, Pastor Tony and Dean get honest about one of the most loaded and least talked about questions in ministry — what does the Bible actually require of a pastor's kids, and what happens when they don't meet it?
Whether you're a pastor, a parent, or someone who grew up in a ministry home — this one hits different.

She sits in the front row every Sunday. She knows more than most people in the church. And nobody ever asks how she's doing. If you're a pastor, a pastor's wife, married to someone in ministry, or just curious about what really goes on behind the pulpit — this one's for you.

How should a Christian treat a transgender person—not in theory, but at work, at the Thanksgiving table, across the dinner from a cousin who just came out?
We trace where the movement came from, what Genesis 1:27 says about being made male and female, and then get practical: What do you do when a coworker asks you to use their pronouns? How do you show real sympathy without affirming sin? And what happens when someone who has transitioned comes to Christ?

What happens when we win the argument but lose the person?
In this episode, Pastor Tony and Pastor Dean sit down to ask an honest question: have Christians failed the LGBT conversation? Not in our convictions, those don't change, but in our posture, our tone, and the way we engage the people right in front of us.
They trace how the cultural conversation around homosexuality shifted over the last 40 years, why "this is just who I am" has become the defining claim of our age, and where that identity question actually comes from. Then they get practical: how do you talk to a friend or family member you love and disagree with? How do you hold to the truth without becoming the abrasive caricature that pushes people away?
This isn't about softening conviction. It's about learning to speak the truth in a way that actually reaches people... winning the person, not just the argument.

In this episode, we explore what it truly means to live as a child of God. Many Christians understand forgiveness, but miss the joy and freedom of sonship. Pastor Tony and Pastor Dean talk about moving from seeing God as Judge to knowing Him as Father—and how that changes everything about holiness, identity, and daily life.
