  • Katherine Krick, False Spiritual Authority, and True Deliverance in Christ
In this episode of NAR to Christ, Dawn Hill examines Katherine Krick's claims of spiritual authority, recurring deliverance ministry, and the troubling pattern of loyalty demanded within Five-Fold Church. Dawn contrasts these claims with the clear teaching of Scripture. Christ, not a modern apostle, is the head of the church. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ and leads believers through the Word of God. Christians are not called to submit to an alleged anointing, chase manifestations, or place their confidence in a spiritual leader. This episode calls listeners to test every teaching by Scripture, flee false authority, and find true freedom in the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. • 76 The Morning Devotional - Psalm 116
The Morning Devotional Season 11 | Edition 76 Psalm 116 Providence Presbyterian Church Evansville, IN Pastor's Website: https://theparchment.net/ This devotional explores Psalm 116 to demonstrate that believers need not fear death because God holds them in His eternal care. The sermon highlights how the psalmist finds rest and deliverance from distress through trust in a gracious Lord who hears prayers. It emphasizes that while physical suffering is inevitable, the soul remains secure in God's presence regardless of circumstances. The message connects the psalm to Jesus Christ, whose resurrection conquers death and guarantees the believer's future hope. Ultimately, Christians are encouraged to live with confidence and worship, knowing their lives and deaths are precious to God.

  • Lecture 7 - The General Epistles - James
How precious the Epistle of James was to the early Jewish believers in their situation. Rejecting pseudonymity, or some kind two stage authorship, the writer can be identified as James, the Lord's brother, as he testifies himself to be "a bondslave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ," (1:1). The primary readers were those who were part of the first New Testament diaspora, scattered throughout Palestine from Jerusalem because of the persecution initiated by Saul of Tarsus who became the Apostle Paul, (Acts 8:1-4). The Epistle is full of practical teaching for the Christians, rich or poor, who formed a mercantile group and an agricultural group. The author is calling for not simply some kind of orthodox belief in God but real faith evidenced in practical works. The believers must guard their speech, seek wisdom and guidance from God, being "doers of the word."
