  • Prayer for the Persecuted Church / Election Update
As easy as we have it in the United States there are Christians all over the world that are suffering for their faith. Many families are hurting today because of a loved one that's been apprehended and incarcerated, some even killed. As a whole, Christian persecution around the globe is on the increase. It's been reported that roughly 1 in 7 Christians worldwide are facing persecution. That number is hard to fathom. These are brothers and sisters in Christ whom we will one day meet in heaven. "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." — Hebrews 13:3 There's a special day coming up that's being emphasized when churches everywhere pray for the persecuted church. It's called the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Joining Jim to tell listeners about it during the first half of this broadcast was Todd Nettleton. Todd is vice president for message for Voice of the Martyrs-USA and host of The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. He serves as a voice for persecuted Christians, inspiring Christians with the faithfulness of Christ's followers in over 70 nations where they face persecution for wearing His name. During more than 25 years serving at VOM, Todd has traveled the world and conducted face-to-face interviews with hundreds of Christians who've endured persecution in more than 30 nations He is the author of When Faith is Forbidden: 40 Days on the Frontlines with Persecuted Christians. During the second half of this program you'll hear a word from Bill Whatcott that he recorded yesterday afternoon from the Tacoma ICE Detention Facility (see Crosstalk for 10/21).

  • Limiting God (Remastered)
Is the Christian experience one of rejoicing, love, hope, and assurance of faith? Is that life marked by delight in God's commands and promises? While God has promised great joy and hope to believers, Christians often follow the way of the Israelites when they doubt, complain, and live in a constant state of uncertainty. In this sermon on Psalm 78:41 titled "Limiting God," Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones teaches that when the Christian follows this way, they limit God's power, grace, and glory rather than showcasing His excellencies to the world. Complaining and heavy hearts declare to the world that the way of God is cumbersome and sorrowful. It says the commands of God are difficult and God is not concerned with the Christian's joy. Follow along with Dr. Lloyd-Jones as he provides the "tests" of assurance, joy, delight, and peace to evaluate hearts in light of the life-giving promises of the Holy God. Listen and be reminded that God provides great joy that cannot be shaken to the believer who earnestly seeks the presence of the Triune God as their source of delight and life. Take comfort in knowing that an assurance of salvation is given as a means of joy and comfort for the believer and be challenged by Dr. Lloyd-Jones's reminder that the believer who does not hold fast to these promises is limiting the Holy One of Israel.

  • Christian Books For Children - The History from the 1600s thru the 1800s
In this episode, we trace the fascinating evolution of Christian children's literature, exploring how books written for young people shifted from stern spiritual preparation to lively, accessible character building. We began in the 17th century with Puritan works like James Janeway's A Token for Children, where real-life deathbed accounts served as solemn calls to early conversion, later expanded by Cotton Mather in colonial New England. As we moved into the 19th century, writers like Legh Richmond, Mrs. Sherwood, and Hesba Stretton ushered in narrative evangelical fiction, while traveling colporteurs and the American Sunday-School Union swept across the expanding frontier to deliver whole "libraries in a box" to remote pioneer towns. Finally, we looked at how dynamic visual preachers like Dr. Richard Newton and standardized classroom texts like the McGuffey Readers transformed literacy and civil morality.

  • Burning Man Is Demonic – Why Do the Elites Love It?
Burning Man is a symbolic resurrection of the druidic wicker-man festival for human sacrifice. So why has Elon Musk said, "Burning Man is Silicon Valley?" Why do the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world attend it? To find the answers, Kevin Swanson talks to Alex Newman about what he saw at Burning-Man 2026. They discuss… * The belief that we can reverse the fall by seeking power from the created world – and how modern tech moguls are a new kind of wizard, using tools, money, and knowledge to grasp for godlike power - The blasphemous and perverse practices that run rampant at Burning Man, from people channeling spirits so the audience can interact with them, to orgies accompanied by Christian music - Whether some modern technological advancements might be derived from communications with demons - How Burning Man represents the tip of the spear in a movement to re-paganize the Western world - Where technology will take us from this point – and how Christians can respond to protect themselves and their children Got a topic you want us to cover?
