  • Christ Formed In Us
The study examines the conflict between Old Covenant legalism and New Covenant grace, highlighting Paul's concern for the Galatian believers who were being drawn back into religious regulations. It argues that while the Law served to reveal sin, it cannot produce salvation or spiritual maturity, whereas the Gospel offers freedom through faith in Jesus Christ. The central theological theme is that the ultimate objective of the New Covenant is not mere observance of rules but the internal transformation where Christ is formed in the believer. This process is facilitated by the Holy Spirit, the study of Scripture, prayer, and church fellowship, rather than religious effort. The message concludes that true Christian life is characterized by imitating Christ's humility and love, a result of His indwelling presence rather than external compliance with the Mosaic Law.

  • Vlad Savchuk’s “Octopus Spirit” Teaching Examined by Scripture
Dawn Hill examines Vlad Savchuk's "octopus spirit" teaching and the Scriptures used to support it. She explains why passages about thoughts, temptation, and spiritual warfare should be read in context rather than used to establish an unnamed demon. She closes with biblical encouragement to seek counsel, resist isolation, and look to Christ and His Word. For more from Dawn, please visit: https://servantsofgrace.org/dawn-hill/

  • Devoted to Thy Fear
VaultAI Summary: This sermon explores the call for believers to be wholly consecrated to the fear of the Lord, examining how this devotion manifests in the mind, heart, eyes, and feet. Drawing from Psalm 119, the text argues that true Christianity requires the mind to be renewed by God's teaching, the heart to be inclined toward delight in His commandments rather than covetousness, and the eyes to be guarded against vanity. The preacher emphasizes that intellectual assent is insufficient without the power of the Holy Spirit to quicken the soul, enabling genuine obedience and a walk that reflects Christ's character. By uniting these faculties in reverence, Christians avoid hypocrisy and bring glory to God, relying on His grace to sustain their devotion and protect His name from reproach.

  • Constitutional Convention Concerns
Christian Gomez is co-director of Operations for the John Birch Society and is a contributor for The New American. He currently co-hosts the JbS web-series, BiRCH'N the USA. For some time there's been a lot of controversy, even among conservatives, about a Constitutional Convention, or a ConCon for short. According to Christian, the term, "Constitutional Convention" has been in our legal vernacular for over a century. You can go back to the 2nd edition of Black's Law Dictionary published in 1910 and on to the most current editions published today. They define "Constitutional Convention" as, "A duly constituted assembly of delegates or representatives of the people of a state or nation for the purpose of framing, revising or amending its constitution." So terms such as "Article V Convention" or "Constitutional Convention" are interchangeable, historical terms. However, lately (since about 2010 or 2011), there's been a movement in favor of a convention. They rename their efforts in more flattering fashion by using phrases such as "Convention of States" or "Convention of the States." Whatever phrase you want to use, some indicate this is needed in order to balance the budget or to limit the power of Congress or to change what are perceived as outdated rules. Are there dangers lurking about within such efforts that could subvert the Constitution? You decide what motives might be involved when you review this important edition of Crosstalk. • Kids Message: BC 90-- Faith and Repentance
This instructional kids message defines the theological concepts of faith and repentance using the Westminster Shorter Catechism as a framework. Faith is presented not merely as intellectual assent but as a complete trust and resting in Jesus Christ for salvation, illustrated through the physical act of sitting in a chair. Repentance is distinguished from mere remorse, defined instead as a decisive turning away from one's own selfish way and a turning toward God's way. The message emphasizes that these two responses are inseparable and necessary for escaping God's wrath. The sermon concludes by anchoring this transformation in the person of Jesus, who is identified as the way, the truth, and the life, requiring the believer to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance.
