  • What if the Paralyitc Man Did Not Get Up?
This sermon explores the theological necessity of a transformed life following salvation, using the account of the paralytic in Mark 2 as a central framework. The message argues that while the forgiveness of sins in verse five is the foundation of the Christian experience, the command to arise and walk in verse eleven represents the visible evidence of that grace. By examining hypothetical scenarios where the man did not rise, the text highlights how a lack of victory would have discouraged believers, emboldened critics, and diminished the glory of God. The preacher emphasizes that a changed life is the most convincing witness to the truth of the Gospel, surpassing emotional worship or rhetorical skill. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a move from mere profession to active obedience, asserting that the power of preaching is validated only when it produces tangible change in the believer's daily walk.

  • Let Us Watch & Be Sober
Christ is building a pure heart and a sincere faith in all believers in relation to their keeping all of His commandments. You must take heed, and watch and pray that these good things of righteousness, holiness, and truth are protected and kept. Guard your heart, protect your mind, and fortify your spirit. Watch and pray against sin. Sin would break in, but you need not let him when you have the power of Christ with you, in your heart, to help you stand your guard-duty. This is where I believe many Christians are not watching rightly. It is not just that we need to watch against the thief's intrusion into our hearts, but it is that we will watch against him successfully when we deliberately cultivate fellowship with Christ in our hearts. Yes, it is true that our Lord does appear to "leave us to ourselves", leave us in order to test us to see what is in our hearts, but He never actually leaves us, nor will He ever forsake us in the day of evil, or in the day of trial and testing. But the interesting thing about verse 43 in Matthew 24 is that Christ Himself is the thief in that parable, and you are the master of the house. "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." The Coming of the Lord is said to be like a thief in the night because of the suddenness of it.

  • 🔥 FEAR NOT…THAT THE FEAR OF GOD MAY BE BEFORE YOUR FACES 🛡️
What does Moses mean when he tells Israel, "Fear not", and then immediately says that "his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not"? At first, these words may appear contradictory. Why would Moses tell the people not to fear, while also teaching them to fear God? In this Bible study, we examine the powerful distinction between terror and godly fear. When Israel stood before Mount Sinai, they witnessed thunderings, lightning, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. They were overwhelmed by the awesome manifestation of God's presence and stood afar off. But Moses explained God's purpose: "Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not." — Exodus 20:20 God was not teaching Israel to live in hopeless terror of Him. He was teaching them to recognize His holiness, authority, majesty, righteousness, and power so deeply that His presence would influence how they lived. The Hebrew concept behind "fear" — yare' has a broad range of meaning. It can describe fear of danger, dread, trembling, awe, reverence, profound respect, and the holy fear of God. Understanding this range helps us see why biblical fear is not simply being frightened. 🙏 The proper fear of God produces worship. 📖 The fear of God produces obedience. 🛡️ The fear of God helps restrain sin. ❤️ The fear of God can exist alongside love and forgiveness. 🔥 The fear of God can overcome the fear of man. ✝️ The fear of God should influence every area of the Christian life. The goal of this study is not to create an unhealthy terror of God, but to recover a biblical understanding of holy reverence a fear that causes us to take God more seriously.

  • Do Not Sacrifice Your Children
On this Let's Talk Pastor Rocky Stevenson of Benoni Bible Church is joined with Bill Jack from Worldview Academy in the USA, and they discuss and examine the historical impact of secularism on Christian institutions, arguing that the separation of sacred and secular spheres has led to the erosion of family and church authority. It highlights the rise of youth ministry as a reactive phenomenon to cultural secularisation, suggesting that this approach has inadvertently accelerated the loss of young people to non-Christian influences. The conversation emphasises the biblical mandate for parents to retain responsibility for their children's education, citing Proverbs 9:10 to assert that the fear of the Lord must be the foundation of all knowledge. It critiques the modern church for mimicking state school structures by segregating age groups, advocating instead for a unified family ministry where the church complements rather than replaces the home. The tone is convicting and instructional, urging believers to engage the culture with truth and grace while reclaiming their distinct jurisdiction under Christ.
