  • A Brief Update and Time Away from Warriors of Grace
Warriors of Grace will take a brief break beginning September 22, 2026, and return, Lord willing, on the first Tuesday of January 2027. In this update, Dave Jenkins thanks everyone who has listened to, watched, and shared the podcast. He also encourages Christian men to remain faithful during the break by staying in Scripture, committing themselves to prayer and the local church, serving their families, pursuing godly friendships, fighting sin, and keeping their eyes fixed on Christ. The Christian life requires enduring faithfulness sustained by the grace of God. During the break, listeners are encouraged to explore the previous 288 episodes of Warriors of Grace and share them with other men. • Tick Tock: The Soul Beyond the Scroll
In today's chaotic digital age, our spiritual well-being can easily become compromised by the overwhelming influence of social media. Platforms like TikTok, while providing valuable connections and resources, can also lead us into a cycle of comparison, distraction, and even sin. As we engage with these platforms, we risk losing sight of our spiritual priorities. Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 10:24-25 of the importance of gathering as a community, emphasizing that online interactions can never replace the depth offered by in-person fellowship. The allure of social media can distract us from our devotion to God, leading to spiritual neglect, as outlined in 2 Timothy 3:1-7, which warns of a culture that prioritizes self over God. We must reflect on how our digital consumption shapes our hearts and actions. Are we using these tools to build others up, or are we allowing them to tear us down? Proverbs 14:1 teaches that wisdom builds up, while folly destroys. As we navigate these platforms, let's take a moment to consider what truly matters and how our digital habits align with God's will.

  • To Live is Christ to Die is Gain (Mr. Jorge Vencel Graveside Service)
This message was for Mr. Jorge Vencel's graveside service today at Mount Hope Cemetery in San Diego per request of his wife Carmen and daughter Sandra, whom Pastor Grant worked with ministering to Jorge and them during their time with Apreva Hopsice which Pastor Grant works for as a FT Chaplain. The message reflected the Bible verse Mr. Vencel kept saying to Mrs. Vencel preparing to go to heaven, Philippians 1:21: "To live is Christ, to Die is gain." While it is better for a Christian's fellow saints to stay and live and serve them, it is far better for that Christian to die and live with Christ. It is normal for a Christian to desire to die on earth and live with Jesus in heaven. The poem quoted at the beginning (learned of through Apreva Hospice training via BrightSpring Health Services): I Am Standing Upon The Seashore. I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone" Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!" And that is dying...
