Also, with Christmas coming up, Michael is encouraging people to consider purchasing books from ChristianWritersBookstore.com. In the month of December, Michael will be sharing more on the work done by the great Christian authors on ChristianWritersBookstore.

In today's episode, author Michael Furlonger recaps on building an important character. Using Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series, Michael shares on how giving characters a back story helps to shape the world that an author is trying to create.

Michael's example of a character is Tom Bombadil from Lord Of The Rings. Although a minor character in the books, he doesn't carry the story forwards, but his character does have a part to play in the broader scheme of "building" Middle Earth.

In today's episode, concluding the sub-series of the topic of having the courage to share even if it's offensive, author Michael Furlonger discusses the topic of the approach we take in sharing our story. As it is, often times, people are offended by the way we tell something, more than what we say.

As Christians, we should be showing love for our friends, neighbours, and enemies (as Jesus told us to pray for those who persecute us- Matt. 5:44). While our story may be hard to hear, we should be gentle in the telling of it. Michael mentions the importance of this as Thanksgiving is coming up.

Michael believes that this is why Jesus Christ's actual words are only glossed over on a Sunday service, because if he were listened to, false Christians would leave the church (whereas true Christians would humble themselves under the Lordship of Jesus Christ).
