Nehal Elramly serves as our schools diagnostician. She works behind the scenes to work with students that may need special accommodations and educational needs. Nehal gives some information on the ins and outs of testing and clears up some misconceptions we as teachers may have. This interview was extremely informitive for me and as always so fun. 

Katie Spect is a second grade teacher at our school. She is full of excitement for social emotional learning and how important it is to build relationships with your students before anything else. From being a new working mom to her love of podcasts and reading, Katie is very inspiring and delightful to listen to as we discuss many topics. 

Matty Rodriguez serves as our parent liaison. She works hard to continue our PALS program, finding mentors for students, and maintaining our backpack, clothes, computer, and Food for Kids programs. She has an incredible heart for meeting the needs of all our students so they can be successful in and out of school. Matty also is a soccer fanatic.

Cody Knagg & Alex Stawicki both work with unique learners at Christie. They spend their time with all types of students and all types of needs. This interview describes more about who they are and their heart for education. Cody also informs us on his love for music and Alex describes her love for podcasts. 

Stephanie Bealka and Rachel Hope both work as Kindergarten teachers at our school. They are both full of life and excitement for their job. It was a blast hearing about their hobbies and interests outside of school as well as the best parts about working with the littles. 

Kim Lewis is our librarian and has been for over 16 years. She is passionate about books and reading and has a love for spreading that passion to students. She has many hobbies including spending time with her family and restoring a prized car she has owned since she was a teenager. Kim is always willing to help out any teachers that may need an extra resource and we are delighted to have her. 

Carrie Cormack & Cindy Twining both work as teachers in our fourth grade Science & Social Studies department. They are full of energy and so many ideas about how to get students to think and learn outside the box. From gardening to a Native American exhibit to a project on circuits these ladies do it all. Both Carrie and Cindy also have many interesting facts about who they are outside the classroom. 

Allison Parsons is an instructional coach at Christie. She is an amazing teacher/ leader/ designer/ artist with a diverse work history. Allison has worked many years in 4th grade, and now focuses her time with 2nd and 3rd grade reading. She is always smiling! Allison has spent time working at Disney so stay tuned until the end when she brings a little bit of Disney to our school and staff. 

Heather is one of our Pre-Kinder teachers at Christie. She has a huge love for social emotional learning and works so well in the hustle and bustle of the little ones. Heather is an experinced teacher at many grade levels, but truly enjoys changing and growing the hearts and minds of the PreK kiddos at our school. 

Rosa Hernandez works as the mastermind behind the cafeteria at our school. She is passionate about her job and getting students and teachers the food they need to start the day. Rosa has such a sweet gift of hospitality for her friends and family.
