Christina knows

Listen Later

Christina knows

You remember the tale of the beauty lost in a time of indecision?

Stymied by love that multiplied yet somehow got lost in bad division

But the woe didn’t last too long, then friends, what do you suppose?

After another petal fell from her rose, now finally Christina knows

Not going to be made to sit in the dark for the rest of her days

Marriage blotted out the sun, bad relationships added to the haze

But love when it’s real makes a beautiful blinding light as it glows

Unknown to her till she kissed tomorrow, now Christina knows

She knows the time to spread her wings she prayed would arrive

Has finally come, days are getting longer, and she feels so alive

Once a stranger to these emotions, relaxed, loved in splendid repose

Leaving no room in her memory of the misery, this Christina knows

Yeah, she knows it was hell alright, but who cares to dredge up such things?

When she has so much happiness ahead to share with the man who brings

A smile to her face, warmth to her heart, kisses and reads her loving prose

Written especially for her, to make every day the best day that Christina knows
