Even if the language of kings and kingdoms feels far from our everyday lives, all of us carry a deep longing for leadership we can trust. This message explores the promise God made to Israel of an eternal King and how Jesus arrives as the fulfilment of that promise, though not in the way anyone expected. His kingdom is upside down, marked not by force or status but by humility, mercy and sacrificial love. At Christmas we are invited to see that this unexpected King is exactly the kind of leader our world, and our own hearts, have been waiting for.
