This is not a tutorial or a guide but just an experience that I would like to share that is hurting businesses small and large this is happening to SEO experts and non experts at a scale that is unbelievable . I hear this time and time again from website owners and webmasters saying that a negative SEO attack in the form of reporting being done to detrone there winning site or websites for techniques that could or could not be considered black hat. And even white hat and lets not forget even grey hat for that matter the point is this type of SEO is far from being professional and it must stop.

The point of this is to inform people on the fact that there are competitors , SEO competition out there that is marketing there company and moving up the ranking latter by deploying in my opinion black hat negative SEO tactics strategies.

These techniques demote and de-index / derank websites by implementing a "white-hat SEO" method of show and tell but this time it is far from fun. One of my JV sites has been taken down there was a few mistakes on my part being that it was at the end of the day stretching the guidelines but, after all it was a indexed and ranked site. So in order for it to be disabled on Google and taken down means it was a competitor that was trying to take our hard work down not Google themselves and I am very sad / salty in the matter.

So in conclusion I have learned a ton from this misstep and we are already and had already other properties that we have been curing for this type of activity because at the end of the day when deploying tactics that are not 100% up to snuff this can happen.

A study that was conducted it was shown that over time videos that have closed captions received nearly an 8% increase in video views over the course of time.

But we all know that editing videos takes a lot of time along with adding thumbnails and then the subtitles.

All of this time can really add up so I have created my own formula to get more views by using the generated automatic captions and editing them. Just slightly ti make them better by editing out any profanity and also horrible grammar that might have been piked up. Then after I have an edited CC file I remove the auto generated subtitles and I am left with improved videos because of my video SEO technique. I was asked to break down the branded web 2.0 tiered linking strategy a little further so that's what you will learn in todays video. Branded web 2.0 backlinks /assets are great because they are high authority assets that you control and you can make ultra topically relevant and branded and to top that off you control the anchor text on thee domains.

Site-links for your website in the SERPs takes up more space and really makes your site stand out. So let me cover the steps that I took in order to get the Google sitelinks to show up in the search results. First I cleaned up the structure of the page. Starting with the header and the footer of the page. After I decided the on page structure and what the most important internal links where I then placed them from left to right. After I decided the most important pages , inside the footer for this example I then no-followed the unimportant links. After I covered the structure I then moved to the schema of the web-pages, I used Dublin Core Schema to help mark up the pages , along with RDF-A and LD+JSON.

I did not over do the schema or micro format markup however it is utilized on the pages. Along with these mark ups I have breadcrumbs on the site. After cleaning up the website structure and implementing the proper schema on all pages of the website. I then made sure that all meta keywords where removed from the pages.

After taking away meta keywords if there where any , I then cleaned out meta descriptions to let Google decide what the pages where about. I let Google display the descriptions that they want to in the search result page.
