In this week's sermon, Pastor Christy Johnson leads us to ask ourselves what things have we been tolerating in our lives. In efforts of maintaining control over our situations, the controlling spirit of Jezebel will often manipulate us to stay at its table longer than we should. This eventually saps our strength and leaves us running in spiritual circles, rather than breaking free and living out the will of God.

When we release our grip on the situations before us, we let the spirit of Jezebel know that it no longer has a hold on us. We change our passive ways and realize we've wrestled long enough with control. In complete surrender of our lives, the tables are turned and we see that God has given us a beautiful invitation to sit with Him.

If there is anything that has been bothering you for too long, you can rest in knowing that you no longer need to waiver between the tables of Jesus and control. God says that we can accept the invitation to commune at His table because He can be fully trusted with every area of our lives. Will you give God the reins of your life and accept the loving call to dine with Him?
