Wayne and Derek try to unwind at the Main—until a flirtatious phone call turns into a lead with a name and a clock. Back at the bar, small talk curdles into dread when the late news breaks: a white Jeep, a chase, gunfire. The crew regroups, races to MedCenter One, and finds a friend under machines while a familiar cop levels with them. The night ends in plastic chairs, stale coffee, and hard questions.
About the Chronicle
The Ultimate Evil is a Chronicles of Darkness story about the corruption that festers beneath faith, friendship, and forgotten memories. Set against the stark landscape of North Dakota in the late 1980s, it follows four men bound by tragedy and obsession as they confront the satanic rot infecting their community—and the cost of staring too long into its abyss.
