Today, let's focus on planting in the 'small place.' Waiting elicits feelings of smallness, being stifled and stuck. Yet, even in this place, God is building a foundation of something greater. Though while we are here, we must be aware that these moments are purposeful; otherwise, we will squander them. Jon Kabat-Zinn coins the phrase, "Wherever you go, there you are." This statement's focus is to be mindful of our present experiences. If I may reach to say, God's word first provided this method of being present many years before this modern philosophy. The idea that we must be conscious of where we are today. Feel how we feel. See what we see but, most importantly, make the most of the present space. Don't despise your small things because in the small things destiny is created.

We all wonder, when will it be my time for....? You fill in the blank. Time is always of the essence. Time is always calling. Time is always ticking. Yet, the Word of the Lord clearly reminds us that time is appointed and ordained by the Father. His records are pure and true. I'm learning that in order for my appointment (whatever the Lord ordained for me and has placed in my trajectory) to come to fruition, my life, mind, and heart must be aligned with the timing of God. Otherwise, how will I discern it? Now, the question of how to discern the time is another matter entirely. That's the hard part or maybe not so hard if we are sincerely and consistently focusing our energy and intentions upon Him. Being in alignment will help us do just that!
