Today, let's focus on our ability to reflect the one who is within us! There is a whole lot that could come out of us in periods of waiting - angst, anger, depression, pain, entitled behavior, self-centeredness - the list could go on and on. Yet, how about centering yourself on this thought: "Greater is He in you." If Jesus Christ is truly your Lord and life, then you have Him and the Holy Spirit.  So why not allow Him to shine through you today?  Wait for moments in which you can feel His leading. Ask Him to show you His path for today. Be obedient to when you feel His prompting. Be intentionally given over to Him today, allow Him to shine through you. Shine on, while you wait - why don't you? :)

We all wonder, when will it be my time for....? You fill in the blank. Time is always of the essence. Time is always calling. Time is always ticking. Yet, the Word of the Lord clearly reminds us that time is appointed and ordained by the Father. His records are pure and true. I'm learning that in order for my appointment (whatever the Lord ordained for me and has placed in my trajectory) to come to fruition, my life, mind, and heart must be aligned with the timing of God. Otherwise, how will I discern it? Now, the question of how to discern the time is another matter entirely. That's the hard part or maybe not so hard if we are sincerely and consistently focusing our energy and intentions upon Him. Being in alignment will help us do just that!

This morning let's focus on the notion that we must be on guard for a very real enemy to our progress. The scriptures are clear: there is an enemy that seeks to divert you from your intended purpose in life. Waiting is one of the most opportune times for this enemy to make suggestions, try to manipulate your thinking and even try to divert you from your God-ordained path. Be alert! Be active and be on guard. Keep yourself grounded in prayer, in worship, and in praise. For it is through your redirection to the light of the Lord Jesus, that your victory will come. Waiting is hard but it becomes even harder when our focus is not intentionally, strategically and habitually set on Jesus. As it is at those times, we give space for great distractions to knock us out of position. Today - be on guard.
