Over a month later and the glow of the Celtics’ championship hasn’t even started to wane. But alas, the rest of the NBA world is doing its best to move on. The Las Vegas Summer League is in the books. Free agency is (mostly) in the books. International teams are heading off to the Olympics. And before you know it, training camp and preseason will be upon us. There are no days off for the Celtics and for the Chuddy’s Corner boys!
Chuddy and Doug dive into all things Celtics and discuss all the major happenings so far in July in the basketball world.

It’s been over two weeks and the Celtics are STILL NBA champions and damn does it feel good. Meanwhile, we’ve had a parade, the NBA Draft, the start of free agency, some blockbuster trades, and a surprise announcement that the team is for sale. There truly is no offseason in the modern NBA. Luckily the Celtics are opening the wallet and re-signing everyone to come back and compete for more titles.
Chuddy and Doug break down everything that has happened with the Celtics and around the league so far this offseason while continuing to bask in the championship glow.

It's been just over a week and the Boston Celtics are STILL the champions of the NBA! May the celebrations never end. Sadly, the rest of the NBA moves on quickly and the offseason is already in full swing. The draft is on Wednesday and Thursday, then free agency kicks off just a few days later. #ThisLeague never sleeps and luckily for the fans, neither do the Chuddy’s Corner boys. They’ve got you covered all summer for all things Celtics.
Chuddy and Doug reflect on the championship celebrations and look ahead with a monster preview of the NBA draft.

The Boston Celtics have done it. They’ve won their 18th NBA title and done it in dominant fashion. Every person in the organization played a key role and made this possible. It has been an incredible build up and a tumultuous road to get to this point, but it has all been well worth it. The Celtics are back on top of the NBA, where they belong. The haters are furious and they’ll never stop hating, but sadly for them, banners hang forever.
Chuddy and Doug break reflect on the season, the journey, and the emotions that coming along with finally being able to raise banner 18.

The Celtics failed to show up to Dallas for Game 4 and get absolutely butt waxed by the Mavs. Alas, it’s never the easy way. Now the Celtics need to lick their wounds and get ready to take care of business back home in Boston. They are still in control, but it’s time to finish the job before the boys lose any more years off their lives.
Chuddy and Doug break down the game and immediately pivot to closing out the series in game 5

The Celtics pulled out a big road win to take game 3 and move within one win of banner 18. The Jays led the way with Brown going for 30/8/8 and Tatum adding 31/6/5 but it was a total team effort. Boston played one of their best quarters of the season in the third and opened up a 21-point lead early in the fourth before the Mavericks went on a massive run to cut the lead all the way down to one point. Kyrie Irving was great, Luka Doncic fouled out, and ultimately the comeback attempt fell short. The Celtics will look for the sweep in Dallas on Friday night.
Chuddy and Doug break down the game and discuss what it will take for the Celtics to get one more win and close out the series.

The Celtics overcame an off-shooting night and held off the Mavericks for a 105-98 game 2 victory in TD Garden. Boston leads the Finals 2-0 as the series shifts to Dallas for games 3 & 4. Jrue Holiday led the scoring with 26 and 11 rebounds, Jayson Tatum had 18 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds, and Jaylen Brown added 21 points and 7 assists. But the Celtics won this game with their incredible defense; they completely bottled up Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving after the first quarter and never allowed the role players to get going.

The NBA Finals are here (well…almost) and the Boston Celtics are taking on the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will come to town for a battle of superstars as they go up against Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, each seeking their first championship. This matchup is littered with narratives, talking points, and storylines, but it’s also an excellent matchup that should deliver some really good basketball.
