The Boston Celtics returned to the win column and avoided losing a 2nd straight game for the 1st time this season with a 108-89 win over the Miami Heat at TD Garden Monday night.  With Monday night's win, the Celtics are now 4-0 on the back end of their 4 back-to-back games this season. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 29.  Derrick White hit 5 3's and had 19 Points, 8 Assists and 6 Rebounds in his return to the starting lineup. Jayson Tatum had a double-double with 18 Points & 11 Rebounds. The Celtics hit 19 3's in the win and have won 8 of 9 and improve to 17-4 overall.

Payton's 4-Game Stretch: Payton Pritchard hit 5 3's and scored 25 in the victory over the Heat.  Pritchard has gone for 20 or more in a season-high 4 straight games and has hit 21 3's during his current 4-game stretch.  He hit 22 3's in a 4-game stretch earlier this season.

Block Party: Luke Kornet made his 3rd start of the season and tied a career-high with 6 Blocked Shots.  The Celtics had 9 Blocks in the win.  The Celtics are 10-0 when Kornet is in the starting lineup going back to last season.

1st-Half Nuggets: The Celtics hit 3 3's in the 1st Quarter and had 7 assists on 10 made field-goals in the 1st.  Boston led by 3 at the end of the 1st Quarter with Jayson Tatum knocking down a 3 in the closing seconds.  Payton Pritchard scored 11 of his 16 1st-Half Points in the 2nd Quarter.  Jaylen Brown also had 16 in the 1st Half.  The Celtics held the Heat to 20 Points in the 2nd Quarter and led by 15 going into the locker room at Halftime.

Giving the Ball Up: The Celtics had a season-low 17 assists in Sunday's road loss to the Cavaliers.  The Celtics had 15 assists on 21 made field goals in the 1st Half Monday night.  The Celtics finished the game with 25 Assists.

Who's In? Who's Out?: The Celtics were without Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and Jrue Holiday for Monday night's home match-up against the Heat.  Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Jaylen Brown were all questionable during the day, but all 3 were in the starting lineup.  Jordan Walsh was in the starting lineup for the 1st time this season and it was his 2nd career NBA Start.  The Heat were without Jimmy Butler for Miami's 1st meeting of the Regular Season with the Celtics.

The Boston Celtics season-high 7-game win streak came to an end with a 115-111 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland Sunday night. The Boston Celtics extended their current win streak to a season-high 7 in a row with Friday's (138-129) win over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center in Chicago.  The Celtics improve to 16-3 overall with the win and are now 9-1 on the road.  Jayson Tatum led the way with 35 points and 13 rebounds.  Payton Pritchard hit 7 3's and scored a season-high 29, including 19 in the 4th Quarter.

The Boston Celtics extended their current win streak to a season-high 6 in a row with Monday's (126-94) win over the Los Angeles Clippers at TD Garden. The loss snapped LA's 5-game winning streak.  The Celtics scored 51 points in the 2nd Quarter and led by 29 at the Half.  The Celtics also hit 22 3's including 12 in the 2nd Quarter.

KP Is Back!: Kristaps Porzingis returned to the Celtics lineup Monday night after missing the 1st 17 games of the Regular Season.  Porzingis played the 1st 6:48 of the 1st Quarter, missed on his 1st 3-point attempt and hit on his 2nd.  He came back on the floor in the 2nd Quarter and had a big block with the shot clock winding down and then was on the receiving end of an alley-oop dunk.  Porzingis played 22:37 and went for 16 points, 6 Rebounds and 2 Blocked Shots in his season debut.

Sharing the Basketball: The Celtics 6 players in Double-Figures and had 33 Assists (45 made Field Goals). Payton Pritchard and Jayson Tatum scored 20 Points apiece.  Derrick White hit 5 3's and scored 19.  Jaylen Brown added 17 Points, 6 Rebounds, and 4 Assists.  Neemias Queta went for 12 Points and 8 Rebounds off the Bench.

3's in the 2nd Quarter: The Celtics led by 7 after the 1st Quarter and opened up the 2nd Quarter by knocking down their 1st 6 3-point attempts with 2 from Payton Pritchard, 2 from Derrick White, and 1 each from Jaylen Brown and Sam Hauser. Pritchard hit his 3rd 3 of the Quarter and 4th of the game to put the Celtics up, 48-32.

The Celtics ended up hitting 12 3's in the 2nd Quarter, which established a new franchise record for the most 3's in a Quarter and tied an NBA Record.

#'s of the Night: With Monday night's win, the Celtics are now 3-0 on the 2nd game of a back-to-back on the season. The 78 points were the most at the Half this season for the Celtics and it marked the 4th time this season where the Celtics had 70 or more at the Half.  The Celtics were up 99-78 after 3 Quarters and they've had the lead after 3 Quarters in 8 straight games.

The Celtics have 3 straight nights off and will play the Bulls in Chicago on Friday and then play at Cleveland against the Cavaliers on Sunday.  Boston is in a stretch of playing 7 of 9 at home.  After next Sunday's game, the Celtics will be home for 5 straight game.
