Ryan Pepiot gave up 2 home runs en route to allowing 7 earned runs through 4 innings. The Rays would fight back a little bit. They scored 4 runs in the 4th inning to make it 7-4. No teams would score after the delay as the Rays finish the road trip 1-6. The Rays have a tough task ahead of them as they welcome the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers to town starting tomorrow night.

The Tampa Bay Rays pick up a brutal 5-4 loss vs the New York Yankees. The Rays first run came on a RBI single from Brandon Lowe in the top of the 3rd. After the Yankees took the lead in the 8th Josh Lowe would hit a gigantic 2 run home run to give the Rays the lead. The Rays held the Yankees scoreless for the first 7 innings. Then in the 8th the Yankees would get on the board. It started with a solo homer from Trent Grisham to tie the game. Then Giancarlo Stanton would hit a RBI single to give the Yankees the lead. After the Rays took the lead in the top of the 9th Pete Fairbanks would give up a solo home run to Anthony Volpe to tie the game. In extras Jonathan Aranda would hit a Sac Fly to give the Rays a one run lead. Cody Bellinger would tie the game with a RBI triple. The Rays would not score in the top of the 11th which led to the Yankees walking it off. Zack Littell started for the Rays and was solid again. He went 5 IP striking out 4 and not allowing a run. The Rays bullpen would be very good until the last 3 innings. All 5 of the Yankees runs came from the Rays bullpen. The Rays will look for a series split tomorrow afternoon.

The Tampa Bay Rays lose a tough game to the New York Yankees 7-5. The Rays once again scored 2 runs in the first thanks to a Jonny DeLuca 2 RBI triple. The Rays would add another run in the 3rd on a solo homer by Jonathan Aranda. Then disaster would strike. Cody Bellinger would hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 3rd to tie the game. Then in the 4th thanks to a bevy of walks and errors the Yankees would add 3 more to make it 6-3. The Rays would add a run in the 7th to make it 6-4. The Yankees would add one in the 8th to make it 7-4. The Rays would add a run in the 9th and get the tying run in scoring position but could not tie it. The Rays have 2 massive games coming up against the Yankees before the trade deadline. The first, is tomorrow night.

The Tampa Bay Rays snap their 4 game losing streak, beating the New York Yankees 4-2. Despite the score the Rays dominated this game. It started with a 2 run home run by Junior Caminero in the 1st inning. The Yankees would respond in the bottom of the 1st. Drew Rasmussen walked in 2 with the bases loaded to tie the game. The Rays would re take the lead thanks to a RBI single by Josh Lowe in the 5th inning. The Rays would add on an extra insurance run in the 8th on a Yandy Diaz Sac fly. The Rays had more than double the Yankees hits but would never quite get the hit to break the game open. The Rays pitching was fantastic tonight. After the 1st inning they shut the Yankees down. The bullpen has also bounced back in a big way. They pitched the last 4 innings only giving up 2 hits striking out 5. The Rays will look to build on this momentum against the Yankees tomorrow night.

The Tampa Bay Rays lose again to the Cincinnati Reds 2-1. The story of this game was Reds starter Brady Singer. He dominated the Rays going 7.1 IP only giving up 3 hits and 1 run. The Rays offense was shut down this entire series. They combined for just 5 runs over the 3 games. Shane Baz showed some great flashes for the Rays. The pitch count got the best of him limiting him to just 5 IP. He gave up 2 runs in the 1st but did not allow anything after. He finished striking out 5 and just giving up the 2 runs. The Rays fall to .500 or worst for the first time since May and will head to the Bronx for a massive series vs the Yankees starting tomorrow night.

The Rays could not get out of their own way in a 6-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The Rays only allowed 7 hits but walked 8 Reds batters that lead to the 4 runs. The Rays would get on the board first with a Yandy Diaz solo homer in the 6th. The Reds would immediately respond with 2 in the 6th because of an error by Rays shortstop Taylor Walls. The Bullpen would give up 4 walks in the inning which would end up leading to 2 Reds runs to make the lead 4-2. Ryan Pepiot was fantastic for the Rays. He went 6 IP striking out 6 and not giving up any earned runs. It is panic time for the Rays. They sit at just 1 game above .500 with a big game on deck tomorrow afternoon against the Reds to close out the series.

The Tampa Bay Rays lose big to the Cincinnati Reds 7-2. The Rays offense sputtered once again, only mustering 2 runs. The Reds got the scoring started with a solo homer in the 2nd inning. The Rays would respond in the top of the 3rd with a Jonathan Aranda RBI single. The Rays would take the lead in the top of the 4th with a Taylor Walls RBI double. Everything would go downhill from there. The Reds would immediately answer with 2 in the bottom of the 4th to take the lead and they would not give it up. The Reds would break the game open in the 6th and 7th with 2 runs in each inning to make it 7-2. Zack Littell started for the Rays and battled. He ended up going 6 IP and was 1 out away from a quality start. He would give up a 2 run homer with 2 outs in the 6th that would break the game open. The Rays look to bounce back tomorrow night with Ryan Pepiot on the mound.
