This Palm Sunday, Britton leads us in resting in the powerful picture of Jesus as our humble King.

This week, Caleb led us through the final chapter of Nehemiah and taught us about the “pursuit of holiness.” Through the events of Nehemiah 13, we see that our pursuit is tied to three specific things: 1) our pursuit flows out of a personal relationship with God, 2) our pursuit continues by taking God seriously, and 3) our pursuit of holiness requires positive and negative action. Caleb reminded us that there is a “letting go of sin” (negative action) and “putting on of holiness” (positive action) that we need to strive for as Christians that the Israelites in Nehemiah 13 failed to do. Ultimately, we are called to and achieve holiness in God alone.

This past Sunday, Ben continued our sermon series in Nehemiah. In chapters 11 and 12, we see the people of Israel resettling Jerusalem and celebrating the completion of the wall with a joyful dedication ceremony. This passage highlights God's faithfulness in restoring His people and their commitment to worshiping Him in response.

This past Sunday, Britton continued our sermon series in Nehemiah. In chapter 9, the people of Israel gather and recount the faithfulness of the Lord while also crying out to Him for deliverance from the oppression they’ve been facing as exiles due to the sins of their ancestors. In Nehemiah 10, we then see the people come together and make a covenant with the Lord to uphold His law and live in the freedom of His grace and mercy.

This Sunday Caleb continues in our Nehemiah series. He walks us through Nehemiah 7-8, reminding us that the worship of God is rooted in and founded on the Word of God.

This week Ben continues in our Nehemiah series. Through Nehemiah 4-6, we are able to see that all of us are called to live on mission by being faithful to God's call. This text reminds us that living on mission angers and brings opposition from the enemy, requiring us to be fully dependent upon the power of God to work through us and protect us.

This past Sunday, Britton continued our "Rise Up and Build" series in chapters 2-3 of Nehemiah, reminding us that God has strategically placed each of us here for a purpose. We learned that prayer is not passive—it is active warfare, declaring our dependence on the only One strong enough to move mountains.

This week we began a new sermon series going through the book of Nehemiah called Rise up and Build. Brady walked us through Nehemiah 1, where we saw that prayer is the work. Apart from God we can do nothing, so rising up and building means leaning on God. At Oaks, we build the Kingdom of God by trusting Him and walking forward in faithful obedience.

This Sunday we looked at a core heartbeat of Oaks- Gospel Multiplication. We, as a church, carry a burden to multiply on every level. This means in tribes, in huddles, and even in churches Gospel Mulitplication is an expectation. The way Multiplication happens is by faithfully abiding in the Lord while seeking to make disciples. Church at the Oaks exists to send disciplemakers of Jesus simply by being disciplemakers of Jesus.

This week was Oaks 4th Birthday!! The birthday gives us a reminder of the miraculous things God has done in and through Oaks. We are reminded the importance of remembering and celebration. By celebrating and remembering the great things he is using us to do we give greater glory to him and abide even more deeply in him. Oaks exists to send disciplemakers of Jesus by being disciplemakers of Jesus.
