Peter Naylor, our Ordinand, speaks to us about the relationship between God the Father and God the Son, particularly focusing on creation. Spoiler alert...which comes first...the chicken or the egg!?

Using 1 Timothy 2: 1-7 and John 10: 22-30, Revd Simon continues to lay the theological foundations of the Christian faith, focusing on 6 key 'we believe' statements:

1) We believe in one God

2) We believe God is Father

3) We believe God is Son

4) We believe that the Son is to be distinguished from the Father

5) We believe that the Father and the Son are the same essence, God 

6) We believe the Son is of the Father, but the Father is not of the Son

Over the next few months we will be working through the Nicene Creed together, unpacking who we believe in, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

At the Collective Gathering in June, Rev. Simon shared the vision of Church Collective and where we believe Jesus is calling us to in the next season.

John looks at the transfiguration of Jesus and what it teaches us about our approach to mission.

At the start of the new year we looked at what it might be for us to build a prayer culture at Church Collective. Simon preached from Luke 3: 15-23, encouraging us all to emphasise prayer in our own lives, as the first building block to building a church wide prayer culture.

Mark continues to unpack the "worship" aspect of the gathering vision, discussing lament and worshipping through our pain.
