“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Testimony of my journey and ministry in the Philippines
Some things I have learned in this journey:
1. Decreeing and Declaring the Word of God has great benefit!
a. Job 22:28 NKJV “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you: so light will shine in your ways.”
2. You have to know the scripture to declare it!
a. Josh 1:8 NKJV “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
3. Make this a daily practice! Example of the Bereans.
a. Acts 17:11 NKJV “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”
4. Peace of heart and mind is another great key as you apply the scripture to your life!
a. Phil. 4:6,7 NKJV “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
b. 3 John 3:2 NKJV “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
c. Rom 12:1,2 NKJV “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
5. One last key I have learned recently: the value of regular Communion.
a. 1 Cor 11: 24-25 NKJV “...Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me....This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
