Church in the Valley

Sickness can shake us to our core where we don't know what to do and how to move forward. Psalm 73 gives us great perspective and help for trusting God with sickness.

The world views God's word as chains & shackles that restrict their freedom and get in the way of what they want to do. Psalms 2 says, "the nations rage" against the Lord. The rage turns into intimidation towards God's people as the enemy tries to work through the world to actively oppose God. But the Psalms encourage God's people to rise above and set our sights on the intimidation of this world from God's angle. Psalms 2 has three images that raise people's sights so they can overcome the intimidation of this world.

Our attempts to tame life and make it conform to our will are futile. Life is uncertain and full of surprises. Some of the surprises are good and others are painful. God's people in the Old Testament were no stranger to uncertainty. They were enslaved by Egypt and then captured by Babylon. The guide for prayer in Psalm 46 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. This message will point us to God as our refuge in the midst of the uncertain life we live.

The world is full of distractions that promise to make our life better in some way. The problem with distractions is that they only satisfy for a short time. And the Bible gives us a much different picture of a blessed life. Psalms 1:1-6 describes the blessed man as one who keeps the right perspective and practice.

Agreeing with One another pleases God.

Biblical Fellowship is God's people living life together. Actually supporting one another to live out our faith in a manner that honors the Lord.

Helping others by introducing the belief in God's gift of salvation helps people find meaning in the promise of eternal life.

Church in the Valley

Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him. Rather than living in self-sufficiency, we are invited to Jesus and find rest. He is inviting us to come alongside Him and He will help to bear our burdens.
