Mission is not something that is done abroad in another country, as it was often considered in the past. Church is mission. But what is the Church's mission? In Matthew 28:18-20 we can see three types of mission: God's mission in saving people, the Church's mission to make disciples, and the Christian's mission to live a godly life (including mercy ministries). The Church should not get sidetracked from its core mission to make disciples, and in the process teach Christians to live as salt and light in the world, loving their neighbour as part of their worship to God.
