    TRANSCRIPT

As the U.S. bishops wrap up their semi-annual meeting today, peasant Catholics need to take stock of something that just never gets reported about very much which is the grease for the wheels of the entire U.S. Catholic bureaucracy — the money. Yes, follow the money. And the place to look first would be what's going on financially in the archdiocese in New York — the money capital of the universe. We're going to come back to this but first take a look at these pictures, which tell the whole story we are going to get into.

This is a Prince of the Church, a successor of the Apostles — posing with half-naked women — the Rockettes of Radio City Music Hall, which he does every year as part of the public relations campaign to show how cool the Church is. Ask yourself, would St. Charles Borromeo or St. Vincent de Paul or St. Alphonsus Ligouri or St. John Vianney be caught dead in such a pose? But this represents the entire shift away from Catholic identity to a full embrace of the world. More on this a little later but now to the money.

First of all, the predominance of the homosexual subculture in the archdiocese, which has flourished under the reign of Cdl. Timothy Dolan has cost the archdiocese tens and probably hundreds of millions of dollars. Recall that earlier this year, the archdiocese had to slap a $100,000,000 mortgage on the land it owns on Madison Avenue immediately behind St. Patrick's Cathedral. That money is being used to pay off homosexual clergy sex abuse claims as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Financial Times were all quick to point out.

The archdiocese keeps operating in the red — it has for a number of years now — although it still has considerable real estate assets it can either mortgage or sell. And by considerable we mean many hundreds of millions of dollars if not a complete portfolio of over a billion. So it seems a little disingenuous for the archdiocese to be pressing the flesh and turning up the guilt on everyday Catholics with its new Renew and Rebuild Campaign with the aim of raising $200,000,000.

The problem is that the need for such campaigns are the direct result of the unfaithfulness of the hierarchy's decision to systematically wipe out Catholic identity — from the promotion of homosexual identity and propaganda, certainly among the clergy, to protestantized catechesis, to malformed clergy or clergy who feel threatened if they even breathe anything tradition-minded — the Faith has been wiped out by the decisions of the hierarchy and now, the bill has come due, literally, and it's time to pay the piper.

Catholic churches in the United States have emptied with eight Catholics leaving the Church for every soul who converts. All of this eventually hits the bottom line which is why Dolan and his financial cronies at the chancery at 1011 First Avenue have decided to press the peasantry, the same peasantry they have abandoned in matters of faith, to open up their wallets and bail them out.

Church Militant was forwarded an example of one letter that Cdl. Dolan signs personally to try and suck the laity dry, in this case, asking the recipient to cough up $250,000 over the next five years. He has reportedly sent out scores of such letters — the thinking, of course, being that a personal letter from the cardinal archbishop will carry a lot of weight. Archdiocesan priests are being pulled out of rotation to be schooled in how to go into people's homes and make a financial pitch to them pressing the laity to raid their savings and pay for the horrible stewardship and crushing of Catholic identity that has ruled the day for decades now.

The archdiocese, like many dioceses around the country, hire upscale marketing firms that get around 10 percent of the collected amounts for their fee to come up with the glossy brochures and plans for soaking the peasants. Parish after parish, as part of the plan, is levied with what amounts to a fine, although everyone pretends it's charity — some with exorbitant amounts in the hundreds of thousands that there's simply no way they can come up with owing to the decreasing collections, owing to the lack of attendance owing to the loss of Catholic identity.

Cardinal Dolan has even sent a letter to various clergy of his saying they need to scale back the number of Masses offered in the archdiocese because it's costing too much money to say so many Masses. And yes, you heard that right. But consider — it only stands to reason. After decades of wiping out the Faith which from a financial perspective results in a huge loss of money, of cash flow, why wouldn't the archbishop tell priests to cut back on the number of Masses because of the money involved?

Which brings us back to those pictures of the cardinal posing with half-naked women. See these represent the complete overthrowing of Catholic identity. Committed Catholics see these pictures and have a visceral reaction to them because they are wrong on so many levels. The cardinal archbishop of New York, the very face of Catholicism in the United States, is here literally embracing the culture and not converting it but being converted by it. And while he's posing with these scantily dressed women —smiles all around — he is at the same time running a massive campaign to soak the laity for $200,000,000 to make up the costs of tens of millions of dollars if not more to pay for sexually abusive homosexual clergy.

It's remarkable that the irony of these photos and this whole situation is completely lost on Dolan and his buddies. They want a new Church — a Church that occupies the old buildings and kind of looks Catholic but has been completely stripped of any meaningful Catholic identity. This is a completely disgusting sight. How any Catholic could in good conscience contribute to the Renew and Rebuild Campaign is beyond us.

Why would anyone want to bail out the very men who have assaulted the Faith and stripped it of its identity? And this question needs to be asked by faithful Catholics all over America as these campaigns gain more traction everywhere. Where is the accountability? When do these men who have betrayed the faithful in education, preaching, liturgy and identity ever have to pay the price for their miscreance?

Let them sell off their assets of real estate holdings and stop bilking the faithful. Let them have to lay off their birth-control-liberal staffs at the chanceries and dump their bloated bureaucracies. Give your money to other causes — causes that care about the promotion of authentic Catholic identity. Not another dime should be given to these shams, especially when their leaders pose with practically nude women.

Dolan needs to hit up the owners of Radio City Music Hall since he's so comfortable posing with their exhibitionists and leave the faithful laity in peace. Call off the priest money-training sessions by your high priced marketing firm. Restore the Masses and get back to being Catholic, Your Eminence, and stop the half-nude picture posing along with a public apology for your wrongdoing.

In the meantime, sell off some of your vast real estate holdings and pay your own bills — bills you have created.

  • What Do You Actually Believe?

    TRANSCRIPT

Next week, the American bishops will gather for one of their twice-a-year meetings and discuss a bevy of topics. But as the bishops meet, out-in-the-pews, committed Catholics are becoming increasingly concerned about the direction the conference is taking as a whole. By committed Catholics, we mean Catholics who not only go to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days and have a devotional life but also have a very good understanding of the ruinous state the Church is in.

They are not looking at little things here and there and investing all their hope and common sense in these small things — laudable and joyful as they are. It is precisely the attitude and tone and direction of the bishops' conference that sucks the joy and hope out of these efforts, giving committed Catholics pause to think that they will suddenly be shut down or sidelined without any notice.

This has been the case with multiple little religious communities that have tried to form or homeschooling efforts on the part of concerned parents or distribution of faithful catechetical materials or various speakers not being allowed to present on church property and so forth. Add to this the wall of opposition to anything even closely resembling Tradition, and we aren't talking necessarily about the Latin Mass but attempts to get rid of abuses and liturgical overreaches that currently exist and are ignored or the near-refusal, however politely it may be framed, to allow any resurgence or restoration of Catholic identity as it relates to the political and cultural order, for example.

Tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands, of committed Catholics have simply grown to not trust the bishops when it comes to promotion of the authentic Catholic faith. In fact, those Catholics see many of the bishops more along the lines of being the actual problem, not just a hindrance. There is, simply stated, a mountain range of evidence pointing at the bishops collectively not caring about committed Catholics. It has not been for nothing that tens of thousands of committed Catholic parents will not let their children attend Catholic schools anymore for fear of losing the Faith. The same motive is behind thousands of Catholic families who Sunday after Sunday pile into vans and drive long distances to go to a reverent Mass, driving right past a number of other, more convenient parishes along the way. They simply don't trust the priests who are allowed by the bishop to continue in their ministry.

When you add to that climate the silence in the face of heresies, dissent, horrible catechesis, bowing to false ecumenism, which was on full display front and center during Revolt Day last week, and a host of other sins — the approval of all things gay and gay clergy, the anti-Catholic preaching that happens regularly at Catholic parishes, the promotion of a massively worldly agenda dressed up in spiritual rags — climate change, immigration, death penalty, community organizing, social justice warrior "collections," to name just a few. These are politically liberal, practically socialist positions that too many of the bishops like to baptize and pass off as somehow Catholic, and of course, the realization that many of these bishops were involved directly or indirectly with the gay clergy sex abuse scandal which has cost the Church in the U.S. nearly $4 billion.

What this all boils down to is this one simple bottom line — committed Catholics no longer trust the hierarchy. To the degree they preach already existing Church teaching — fine. But that seems to be the last thing they do. Prominent on the agendas are never topics like the evil of contraception or the plan to make sure that men who are same-sex attracted are not being accepted into seminaries, nor is there any national push for authentic Catholic catechism — a protestantized Alpha program is promoted as the new savior of Catholic education. Even when various states and secular outfits were calling out the errors in the Common Core curriculum, Catholic bishops clung to the Planned Parenthood backed program.

They allow pro-gay, pro-abortion individuals who feel completely free to express their opinions without any fear of discipline to work in various Church establishment offices like Catholic Relief Services and cover for them when they are discovered. To a huge number of committed Catholics, this is treason on the part of many bishops and begins to raise questions about not just the actual question about trusting the bishops but seriously considering if they actually still believe everything the Church teaches.

Think about it — opening up your cathedral for illicit, invalid, ordinations and consecrations without the slightest consideration even being thought about how committed Catholics would perceive that. And the same is true when cathedrals are opened up for funerals of known dissenters or heretics. The Ted Kennedy triumphal send-off with Cdl. Sean O'Malley in attendance was an abomination. That man supported the murder of millions of little Americans for decades, and there sat a prince of the Church condoning his evil by his mere presence. The phenomenon that is happening as a result of all this is committed Catholics are simply separating themselves from the institutional rot.

They are finding other churches to go to Mass, either one of the Eastern rites or the FSSP or the Institute of Christ the King or the rarest of all beings — a faithful parish with a reverent Mass and a faithful priest. In short, they're voting with their feet. They are building their own school system for their children, some of it home-schooling, some of it co-ops, some of them independent Catholic schools.

They no longer get their news and information about the Church from the official Church of Nice organs like the bulletin and diocesan newspaper but from non-propaganda sites. In short, they look around the ruinous state of the Church and determine that neither they nor their families are going to end up like other family members and friends and loved ones who have walked away from the Faith. And yet with this exodus from the Church of Nice, the leaders still continue to push their ridiculous social justice claptrap and double down on their embracing of dissent and crushing of Catholic identity.

All that the Church of Nice holds dear and has pushed down people's throats for decades will soon be faced with the stark reality that in short order there will be no one in their pews to shove stuff down. The Church of the 1970s, enjoying one last party before its final death, will have taken tens of millions of Catholics to the grave with it. What will be left is what has already begun to form even as some faithless bishops try to stamp it out.

  • Beating Up on Bishops

    TRANSCRIPT

If you haven't noticed, good clergy are getting beat up in the Church as a matter of routine, and they are getting bashed by fake Catholics. And if you call out these fake Catholics to defend good clergy or the Faith, you are attacked as divisive or whatever.

Remember a couple of years ago when San Francisco's Abp. Salvatore Cordileone suggested that the teachers in his Catholic schools teach the Catholic faith? He was vilified by the teacher's union, a professional advertising campaign was begun, printing ads in major papers asking for Pope Francis to dump him. And then a couple months back, Springfield Illinois Bp. Thomas Paprocki dared touch the third rail of Church politics by suggesting that homosexual acts are sinful, and people who die in a same-sex "marriage" cannot have a Catholic funeral. Of course, homosexuality cheerleader priest James Martin felt no compunction whatsoever in bashing Bp. Paprocki publicly on Twitter and Facebook for all the hate and bigotry and fill in the overused liberal detraction of your choosing.

And now we have the case of Bp. Robert Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin, whose head is being sought by the rabid homosexualist crowd in the Church. They've actually started an online petition over at change.org asking Pope Francis to dump him. They asked for 7,500 signatures and as of this recording, they had 6,000 in a few days. Here is part of the petition:

It is apparent that Bp. Morlino does not have the love in his heart nor the strength of character to stop his hate-filled fixation on the intimate lives of consensual and committed adults. He tries to disguise this obsession under a veil of discrimination and deploys it at a time when loss leaves loved ones most vulnerable and in need of support. This is nothing short of evil, and we've had enough.

Last week, His Excellency issued directives to his priests about funerals for non-repentant Catholics who died in same-sex marriages — in short, no funerals or activities that would give scandal to the faithful in appearing as though the Church either condoned their lifestyle or was indifferent to it. The Church cannot be indifferent to sin, much less cooperate with it. For the Church to do this would be a sin itself, a great sin.

That's why Bp. Morlino needs to be recognized and praised — highly praised — here for his work. He isn't a bigot or anything of the kind, although that name calling is exactly what the mouth-frothing homosexualist crowd in the Church is labeling him. As a quick aside, you will notice that the crowd, always droning on about mercy and compassion and kindness and all are welcome, are none of the above when a Catholic says the Truth.

To attack these good bishops for them declaring the Truths of Christ and His Holy Church is beyond reprehensible. It is scandalous and evil. The bishops are doing their exact duty — they are teaching. And they are teaching the Truth. Not their truth, mind you but the Truth. They are simply restating what the Church says. For this, they should be lionized by the faithful — supported, praised, pointed to.

They should not be demonized by these heretics and apostates, and they should certainly not be allowed to make these horrible claims against these good men without being challenged. Bishop Morlino is a good man who loves the One True Faith (that's what makes him good). He has spent a good amount of time in his diocese trying to save his flock from the horrible evils that many of his brother bishops have allowed and even promoted. He has tried to protect the liturgy and advance it and prevent abuses. He has encouraged holiness among his priests for their good, as well as the good of the people in their charge. Is he perfect? Of course not. Perfection in a bishop is not the bar — fidelity and courage is. Faithful witness unto death is the bar.

Bishop Morlino has demonstrated these virtues, and the homosexualist crowd in the Church must be shouted down in this regard. We've included below a link to Bp. Morlino so you can express your support for him and his faithfulness.

Contact Bp. Morlino's administrative assistant: [email protected]

These men, while successors of the Apostles, are obviously human and like many people can get discouraged at the constant pounding they take in the intense spiritual war the Church is engaged in these days. We highly encourage you to call or email His Excellency and just tell him thank you.

Consider this Vortex episode the first, Your Excellency.

  • Celebrity Arrogance

    TRANSCRIPT

Did you catch this line during President Trump's State of the Union address last week — Trump blasting the NFL and various players for using their platform to express their own personal opinions? The same arrogance swirls around nearly every entertainment artist and A-lister in Hollywood who seem to believe America actually cares what they think about politics. So, they use their acceptance speeches and social media presence to push their liberal viewpoints down everyone's throats. All these multi-millionaires with armed bodyguards living behind walled compounds, flying around in private jets telling us peasants that "rich people" are bad, we should not have guns, we should not deny access to anyone, and we have to care for the environment.

The hypocrisy is stunning. And this is, in part, what Trump has tapped into — the hypocritical preachiness of the elites toward the little man. Like him or not, Trump has and continues to push to tap into this vein across America, not because he has created it but because it's real. He just discovered it; he didn't make it. And when it comes to celebrities using their careers as a means to preach, he has really hit a vein. For example, people pay huge sums of money to go to NFL games to be entertained by athletes in a sporting competition, not to be preached at by employees who are at work in their company uniforms. Likewise, just because a bunch of Hollywood and entertainment elites have an opinion, why do we care? Those opinions don't carry some extra significance because the person holding them is famous, particularly when they are famous for just acting and not what they have an opinion about. Consequently, both the NFL and Hollywood are suffering their worst financial seasons in quite a long time. The box office is off; NFL profits, both stadium and TV, are off. And it can be attributed to celebrities, who are paid employees, telling the rest of us how to think, and here's the point — using their celebrity to reinforce their opinions.

Now, the parallel case in the Church — now, all over America and many other places in the world —  numerous priests stand in the pulpits, travel to various conferences, appear on TV and radio shows, grant interviews to various media, write books and are guest lecturers at various colleges, offering their personal opinions using their collars as the door into people's minds. The thing is, they are not saying or doing what their boss — God — tells them to say but spouting off their own dissident opinions and holding them forth as somehow shrouded in the Catholic faith. Many bishops do the same thing, using the power and influence and celebrity of their positions to preach their personal opinions on company time, so to speak.

Like NFL players in their uniforms and Hollywood glitterati dressed up to the nines, much of the clergy dons their clerical attire or vestments for Mass and then stand before the people and deceive them by giving their personal opinions a weight they do not deserve by virtue of their office. This is duplicitous and disgusting. At least the only thing athletes and stars can do is pollute your earthly sensibilities. Deceptive clergy cut straight to your souls and immediately threaten your eternal lives or those of your children. These men must be opposed and called out and resisted. They desire a church fashioned by them, and they twist Scripture and teachings to suit their own personal opinions driven by their own psychological struggles and demons.

Just as many people don't want to hear rich, hypocritical athletes using their professional platforms or rich movie stars using their professional platforms, so too, faithful Catholics are sick to death of hearing dissident clergy using their "professional platforms" to shove their personal opinions down our throats. Preach the truth or get out of the sanctuary. We're sick of your celebrity arrogance, whether you're an athlete, a star or a cleric. Do the job you are supposed to do — period. Play, act or save souls. Do your job and stop cheating your bosses and your audiences.

  • The Parish of What’s Happenin’ Now?

    TRANSCRIPT

As the U.S. bishops meet today in Baltimore for one of their twice-a-year meetings, it's a good thing to look at the growing chasm between the leaders and the laity and what, if anything, can be done about it. First, the lived-out life of Catholicism, life on the ground in the trenches, is for the normal, everyday Catholic lived out at the parish level. This is where they "meet the Church," so to speak, at weekly intervals in their lives.

So, what's happening on the parish level is the experience common to Catholics and that which they most readily identify as "normal." Bear in mind, of course, that by the term "most Catholics" we mean of the one in five who actually still go to Mass in the U.S. The other four in five have next to nothing to do with the Church, and four out of five of these four out of five tell pollsters they will never come back. For those not so quick with arithmetic, that's a whopping two thirds who have left who will never return.

Now, here is the first problem with perspective from a parish level: Lay people travel around a lot. On any given Sunday, they may be in a part of the country or in another parish because of this family event or that obligation. We travel around a lot and see much more on a parish level than priests do and most especially the bishops do. And we see it in the pews, not up in the sanctuary, where our view might be blocked by a hoard of eucharistic ministers or the folk group. So when the laity, the committed laity — again, meaning those who truly care about the Church and understand the ruin She is in — when we see a problem, it's real. It's real precisely because we see it everywhere, even from parish to parish within a given diocese.

We can tell immediately what sort of formation the bishop has allowed his priests to experience. We can tell immediately what sort of message about reverence is being communicated to the people from the bishop through his priests. We can tell immediately with one glance through a given parish's bulletin how Catholic the parish truly is (and we see a lot of bulletins). There are a hundred giveaways before Mass in any given parish is over what the spiritual health of the parish actually is and, again, because committed Catholics have to go to so many different parishes because of business travel or family obligations or social events or confirmations or baptisms or weddings, holidays. We see a lot, which makes it curious when so many of the deep concerns and even fears of committed Catholics are not even consulted or listened to.

Priests are not traveling around as frequently as we are. Bishops certainly aren't, and even when they do, the host parish is always on its best behavior, so even then, he doesn't see things like they really are — if he cares, that is. So when the question inevitably pops up, "Hey, what's happenin' in the Church?" the answer is, "We'll look at what's happening in the parishes." And what is happening in the parishes? Not the transmission of the Faith, that's for sure. That's why these parishes are closing.

There's nothing happening in the parishes that isn't happening in the local Protestant worship space down the street or the Salvation Army or the Saul Alinsky, community-organizing project down in the 'hood. Why? Because the bishops have been formed by their hippie-minded predecessors from the 1960s and 1970s to make the parishes the Church of "What's Happenin' Now?" The reason for the parish has been almost wiped out — sacrificed for a cause, reason swapped out for a cause — and normally that cause is a politically leftist, theologically nutty idea of what passes for religion.

So, today and tomorrow, the bishops will gather and chatter about a lot of things, most of them having very little to do with religion and souls and salvation. They will talk about numbers and exciting new modes of evangelization that the young people really respond to. They'll talk about marketing ideas to draw more men into the social activism ranks known as the priesthood, and they don't mind if they are gay as long as they don't act on it, leaving the next round of gay clergy sex abuse scandals for their successors to clean up.

They'll talk quietly amongst themselves about which plan they implemented to best manage the decline, as they close down parishes and shutter schools. They check in with each other about which management firm did the best job at finding a way to move in and reduce expenses and formulate a "going out of business" plan to roll out over the next five years. In short, everything they've done for all the past meetings since the truth of the crisis/chaos became undeniable.

What they will not do is listen to committed Catholics who actually do know what's going on because we see it everywhere, in all its ugly nakedness in practically every parish: the immodest dress, the complete lack of reverence, the horrible non-sacred music, the disbelief in the Real Presence sometimes by even the priest, the totally forgettable preaching, the social justice warriors who run the show, the army of graying women in the sanctuary. Yep, we see every last bit of it, and again, we see it everywhere.

It's weird why the generals would never check in with the soldiers to see how the battle is going. Perhaps the generals know because they planned it all along.

  • Here We Go Again

    TRANSCRIPT

Last year this time, the Left was busy launching attacks against Church Militant, calling us alt-Right, extremists, haters blah, blah, blah. Well, here we go again. Over the weekend, Church Militant got specifically named and also strongly alluded to with supporting links in not one, not two, but three different liberal journals/websites. Man, that's probably some kind of record. And what are they blasting us for? Well, what else — for hating Fr. James Martin.

The New York Times, yes, them again, came out guns blazing with an op-ed written by the very out there homosexual Frank Bruni who, unsurprisingly, defended Fr. Martin's homosexual activism by calling us various names. Father Martin, who never misses a chance to tweet anything remotely defending his heterodoxy and heresy, continues to maintain that he is at "total peace." For a man at total peace, he certainly feels the need to tell everyone that every time. On multiple, multiple occasions he has slammed critics of his heresy and then said, "I am at peace, I really am." Sure, you are Father! It's the last line of The New York Times article by gay-defender of gay supporting Fr. Martin — Frank Bruni.

Then, there was also this weekend the liberal Buzzfeed's little hit piece on Church Militant and Fr. Z. (Fr.John Zuhlsdorf) saying, "Together with sites like Church Militant, a kind of Catholic-themed Breitbart that the Church has officially distanced itself from, Fr. Z. is waging an online culture war that is deeply informed by the greater American political context." The author of the stupid piece — stupid because it's completely uninformed — only makes two points about Church Militant in that sentence and both of them are entirely wrong.

That author is Joe Bernstein, lauded by the Left for his investigative reporting prowess. So much for all his incredible investigative reporting skills. First, claiming that "the Church" has officially distanced itself from Church Militant is a favorite charge of those who do not like the message or the productions or the tone or the impact of Church Militant. And it's completely absurd. When uninformed and uneducated on the subject matter, Joe Bernstein claims breathlessly that "the Church" has distanced itself, exactly what is he talking about?

We are under no censure from the Church. We are not under interdict. We have not been declared heretical or schismatic or dissident. Every single Catholic here is in good standing. The orthodoxy of what we say has never been challenged by "the Church" — modernists and dissidents within the Church, sure, but they are not the Church. In fact, if Bernstein would have simply picked up the phone and called us, he would have been able to ask me directly what kind of support we have from various bishops, priests and so forth. But Mr. Investigative was too tired to do that from typing all those journalistic errors.

The fact that some people in the Church don't like us or the tone or whatever is a far cry from the Church — not even remotely close Joe. Try again. Then, his claim that we are "waging an online culture war that is deeply informed by the greater American political context." He's got that completely backwards. If Investigative Joe would have done his homework on this, his, well, investigation, he would see that what we say is not informed by the greater American political context but rather what we say is that within that American politic is the result of a failed half-century of leadership within the Church — other way around Investigative Joe, strike two.

Then, of course, the final hit piece from Daily Theology by Kevin Ahern which used The New York Times hit piece by homosexual Frank Bruni as an excuse to write something about us, calling to task all the theologians who have not come to Fr. Martin's defense as Church Militant attacks the poor little priest with hate. Somehow, Church Militant has soared to the top of the "Most Wanted" list of the Left.

Now, here's the point of all this whole weekend review. You may recall that for the past year or so we have been saying that the Theological Left and the Political/Cultural Left are all bound up with each other, pushing the same agenda. Well, here is further proof of the alliance/cooperative effort of the Left. It's like a liberal giant Borg — a Borg chanting the same narrative: "Must celebrate gay sex. Must have illegal immigration. Must destroy Catholic developed Western Civilization with false or exaggerated charges of anything that will stick. Must virtue signal at every opportunity. Must smear all opponents with the word hate." Anyone who thinks all these folks aren't feeding at the same trough just simply doesn't understand and that includes various nutty Churchmen in the Vatican who are either stupid or inside working on this great hoax.

But why do they all have their panties in such a bunch about Church Militant? Because Church Militant exposes their fraud and their lies and challenges their media dominance, calling them out for what they are. So, they are desperate to discredit, insult, mock and wage war against us at any opportunity that presents itself. Good luck fellas. You are wrong and the Catholic Church we preach — that you hate — is right. You hate the truth because, supreme above everything else, even and especially God and morality, you want to engage in illicit, perverted or immoral sex. You want to protect the right to murder children if they are conceived and unwanted. And you hate that your consciences are pricked by the truth. You hate the truth, so you destroy and twist and lie about us because we repeat Catholic truth which is divine truth. And the fact that you have some allies in the Church who share your distorted and immoral view of reality does not give you cover — even the Son of God had His Judas.

For any one these authors, Frank Bruni, Joe Bernstein, Kevin Ahern, all allied with Fr. Martin and his homosexual heresy, we challenge you all to a full debate on what you have written about us. We threw out the same challenge to Fr. James "Dialogue" Martin and, of course, crickets. We expect the same from each of you as well. But just for clarification, we invite each of you or all of you to a live-unedited, online-streaming discussion about the merits of your baseless claims about us and the larger issues. Please feel free to contact the studios here in Michigan, and we will get the arrangements and all the logistics going. It'd be really cool if you could all talk to your buddy Fr. Martin and convince him to show up as well.

See, you've each made or quoted specific charges against us that are completely baseless, and we'd be happy to engage in a live dialog with you — to build a bridge — whenever you would like. Church Militant takes on The New York Times, Buzzfeed and Daily Theology. So, how about it guys? Here's your big chance to bury us — live. If you're so right, hey, take up the offer.

For the record, yes, we are not holding our breath because modernists are cowards by their nature. Like their "father," they cannot stand in the light of truth because they are liars.

  • Fighting Evil

    TRANSCRIPT

Let's start with some basics. Jesus Christ, the Eternal Logos incarnated for the redemption of mankind, established a Church, one Church, not multiple churches to continue His work of Salvation through the end of time. Check. He imbued this Church of His — His Spouse — with His own Divine power to conquer evil because man is incapable of overcoming evil without Divine assistance. Check. It is, therefore, the sacred, solemn duty — the God-commanded duty — of this Church to war against evil because She is the only force in the universe that has the ability to war and win. Check. If, therefore, if you want to know the condition of the Church, all you need to do is look at the condition of the world. When evil is ascendant, the Church is in retreat. When the Church is on the offensive, then evil is beaten back.

This is the true reality — the black and white reality — of mankind's lot until the end of time. There is no such thing as gray. Gray does not exist. Clergy do not get to mollycoddle and pander to people's weakness and indifference and sin and call that "gray." It's a black or white proposition. Die in mortal sin, and you are damned. That's why its called m-o-r-t-a-l. In the case of such a person, evil won. The person freely chose to reject the means of victory afforded them, purchased for them by Our Blessed Lord and so having rejected His Mercy, they encounter His Justice. But to some extent, you can understand a person's reluctance to change his life — to allow evil to win on the battlefield of his own soul.

First, we have a natural desire, an appetite for sin. We like it. It always looks good to us. Even when we know it's wrong, we still do it. Second, with the non-stop claptrap about there being a reasonable hope that all men are saved, why would anyone really bother to change? That errant philosophy is an intoxicant, an anesthesia which lulls a soul into lethargy and blinds them to the ultimate reality of losing their own spiritual combat. Third, the promotion by various Catholic clergy of the evil idea that all religions are kind of the same — indifferentism it's called, whereby a soul can be indifferent to which religion is the true one because they are all pretty much the same, different paths to the same God.

This swill, this cocktail of spiritual poison, has led the Church in the West to the brink of ruin and sent hundreds of millions of souls into spiritual insanity. Everyone goes on nonstop these days about this evil thing or that evil thing — mass shootings, terrorist strikes, serial killers, child killers, murderous gangs, child pornography, shattered families, fatherless children. The world has changed, they say. This kind of stuff never used to happen, at least not like this, they say. It's not the same country anymore, they say. We never used to have to lock our doors, they say. What changed? What happened, fundamentally, to bring about this chaos in the world? Straight up answer — the chaos in the Church.

People have forgotten about sin. They have forgotten about the eternal consequences of dying in that sin. They have forgotten because they have not been reminded. We are not wired to live uncomfortable truths — to live lives in contradiction to evil. It is our nature, in fact, to embrace sin and live lives of non-contradiction. Only grace can make us lead a life where we come to detest our sins and live in contradiction to our fallen human nature.

The normal means of obtaining this grace is through the Catholic Church. It is what She was established for — to create saints out of sinners. But do many of the clergy talk this way? Do many of those who are charged with the sacred duty of passing on the Faith really believe all this? Too many in the Church never speak like this anymore. For them, this language is completely foreign, a vocabulary they have never heard. For them, the Church is a giant social help agency where nothing is confronted except the traditional Church, and no one is ever offended and bothered or upset by all this talk of evil and sin and, God forbid, Hell.

Too many leaders in the Church have simply abandoned their sacred duty out of fear or longing for human respect or money or immorality or some combination of all of the above. They lead souls to Hell and have not the slightest care about it. At least not yet, they don't, but they will if they do not repent. They have a completely different understanding of Church. It's why their stupid songs like "Sing a New Church into Being" or "All are Welcome" are so, well, stupid.

They have nothing to do with the Bride of Christ, yet this false understanding of Church is precisely what is promoted non-stop these days. "All Are Welcome" until you are not because you are an authentic Catholic. "Sing a New Church into Being" because we don't want the old one anymore. Yet, this ecclesiology, fancy word for study of the Church, rules the day today. It speaks to nothing of the need for spiritual strength, spiritual combat, fighting evil, destroying the demonic within ourselves and the world.

Why are things so bad in the world these days? Because they are so bad in the Church — the only organization on earth capable of fighting and defeating evil. As the Catholic Church goes, so goes the world. This is what we fight for. This is why we all are the Church Militant. Be Catholic and save the world.

  • Building a Bridge to Dialogue

    TRANSCRIPT

As we all conclude this week of mourning for the separation that exists within the Christian world, owing to arch-heretic priest Martin Luther, Church Militant wanted to take this moment to invite any Protestants, who might be watching or any protestantized Catholics to have a dialogue over all this — this separation. We want to build a bridge between those who have a flawed understanding of what the Catholic Church is and Catholics who understand precisely who and what the Catholic Church really is. Since Catholicism and many denominations of Protestantism agree that the Scriptures are the inspired word of God, that seems like a good place to begin to clear up the confusion of what the Church is.

Saint Paul understood precisely what the Church is because he met Her Founder on the road to Damascus, as he was on his way to kill members of the Church. The Son of God said to Saul, "Why are you persecuting Me? It is I, Jesus of Nazareth, who you are persecuting." There is, therefore, according to the Son of God, an intimate relationship between Himself and His Church, so intimate that He equated His Church with Himself.

Next, staying with St. Paul, he told the Ephesians that the Church is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with Christ Jesus Himself as the capstone. And one more important point from St. Paul, in his first letter to Timothy, he says very plainly that the Church is pillar and bulwark of the Truth. All of these points, written down and preached by the same saint, must be taken together.

There is no other Church other than the Catholic Church, therefore, and all this is straight from Sacred Scripture, which we agree is the inspired word of God. In fact, it was the Catholic Church which compiled Sacred Scripture around the 5th century and determined which books were authentic and which were not. This must be the starting point for any honest dialogue between Catholics and Protestants or even badly formed Catholics. Now, to be absolutely honest, have Catholics lived up to this noble calling? Not really, at least not most of us. But that doesn't make the Church suddenly become not who She is. It just makes most of us bad and sinful Catholics. Even St. Peter, the head of the Church denied Our Blessed Lord three times and not just your average denial but cursing and exploding temper and blaspheming. Yet, that did not make the Church suddenly become not the Church.

The Son of God desires that His people continue His salvific work throughout all of history until He returns. He wants them to take the Cross to every creature and that means there must be unity. Right now, it does not exist. If you are one of the 40,000 different denominations of Protestantism, perhaps no one has ever invited you to look at these most basic truths and invited you to become Catholic because if they haven't, then please consider this that invitation.

Likewise, if you are a poorly formed Catholic, owing to a host of reasons we talk about here every day in an effort to alert you to the fact that you have been deprived of the Truth, then this invitation extends to you as well — to become a better formed Catholic. For people who claim Christ as their Lord, it simply cannot be the case that there is all this division. Christ is one and so must be His Mystical Body on earth.

So, as we draw to a close this week where a bad Catholic priest, like many other bad Catholic priests, led astray millions, please cross this bridge and come home to the Church established by the High Priest, in Whom there is no division.

  • The Elephant in the Room

    TRANSCRIPT

It's said that, oftentimes, when there is a family member who is a severe alcoholic or someone who is drug addicted or another suffering from strong emotional illness that the whole family life swirls around that issue, and yet quite frequently, it is never addressed head-on. It is the great elephant in the living room. Everyone knows it. No one wants to open the door because a zillion awful things will come out. So, a very awkward balance is struck where the truth is ignored so that all the heavy lifting never has to be done. But the problem is, it is the nature of truth to be known. It cannot be ignored forever. Sooner or later, it comes roaring out of its prison.

As we look around the landscape of Christianity today, especially with all the mouth-frothing over Martin Luther, we see the same scenario — the elephant every one knows but no one wants to acknowledge. The elephant is the identity of Jesus Christ. One religion understands Him as He is in Himself. All the others misunderstand Him, even if they correctly perceive some things of Him.

What Luther's Revolt did was to introduce into Christianity the errant and deadly notion that Christ can be understood from contradictory perspectives. This is not true. It is the lie at the heart of Protestantism which those in this fight understand but few want to address. For example, some Protestants accept that Christ embraces abortion. Other Protestants are revulsed by such an understanding of Christ. Some, in fact many, believe in a Christ who accepts divorce and remarriage even though He explicitly condemned the evil — the same with same-sex marriage, women clergy, necessity of baptism, the nature of the Eucharist, the role of Mary in salvation history, praying to saints, the need for confession, once saved always saved, justification, grace, the existence of Hell — the list never ends.

For every denomination of Protestantism, there is a contradictory and competing understanding of who Jesus Christ is. This cannot be. There cannot be a Christ who accepts that abortion is a good who also accepts it as an evil. Yet, these contradictions are the result of the Protestant heresy plain and simple. Protestantism denies all authority beyond personal interpretation of Scripture. So how could any other result be the case? The illogic of competing Christs is the logical outcome of the Protestant heresy. To expect any other outcome is naive beyond naive. Truth is one, and it cannot be anything else.

We, here at Church Militant are constantly called mean and divisive and uncharitable for pointing directly at the elephant in the room because this elephant has come stampeding into the Catholic Church, and almost no one in the Church wants to address it. It's far easier to slam the message than deal with the Truth behind it. Protestantism is a heresy, and to the extent it has entered the Church and has been accepted on a practical level, it has become a poison. Today, we have Catholics who say they believe in Christ, yet accept, abortion, contraception, divorce and remarriage, same-sex marriage and so forth, and many of these are clerics.

There is only one Christ because He is the Truth. And for many, that is a very uncomfortable proposition because like the door that no family wants to open on the suffering family member who is a drunk or addicted or suffering with emotional problems, they know when that door is opened a zillion things are going to come tumbling out. Many, many people will have to admit they have been wrong for decades, even their whole lives, and they share some blame in the spiritual destruction of many. Very few are prepared to go "there," so they stay where they are which in the end is living a lie.

Martin Luther was a liar whatever his motivations. He was a liar, and he unleashed a devastating lie on the whole Christian world. Now, 500 years later, what are we left with — 40,000 Christs, 40,000 plus one, and that one is the only true one and that one is the Christ of the Catholic Church which He personally established.

  • Time to Get With It

    TRANSCRIPT

This is something of a follow up to yesterday's Vortex about the attack against Madison, Wisconsin, Bp. Robert Morlino. The rest of the bishops in the U.S. better sit up and take notice of this because the same thing could happen to every single one of you.

Twice a year, roughly six months apart, the U.S. bishops meet in a big assembly and discuss all sorts of things. But there's also a great deal of time for quiet conversations. Lots of times these quiet conversations are an opportunity for the bishops to get together and bellyache and commiserate with each other about shared headaches in running their respective dioceses.

That's understandable. People in the same profession and vocations often times find some comfort in consoling each other and being consoled. But Your Excellencies, the Church is burning down. There are more urgent things to discuss quietly amongst yourselves than the need to sell off properties or dealing with headaches from rowdy laity. Interestingly, among the bishops there are not a few who are more, shall we say, liberal, meaning not completely on board with the Faith. They want Holy Communion — sacrilegious Holy Communion — for those is sinful sexual relationships. They're fine with watered down catechesis being presented to the souls of the laity. The list is endless.

One of the hallmarks of liberals in every profession, clerical, as well as secular, is that they have no regard for rules or the Truth. They learn the process, the bureaucracy of how to ram things through, which is antithetical to the spirit of the mission and then twist and manipulate the process, all legally, of course, to produce something bad. This is what Cdl. Joseph Bernardin of Chicago did back in the late 1970s to impose Holy Communion being distributed in the hand throughout the United States.

Liberals and modernists are master manipulators and when they need to, they lie — hashtag fake news,  hashtag fake theology. It all bubbles up from the same wellspring. But conservatives generally tend to sit back and not really do anything. As one "conservative" archbishop I was meeting with said to me when I asked him why all the good bishops don't get together and develop a plan to fight against the evil from bad bishops which he admitted, "Conservatives tend to conserve. We are more concerned with what's going on in our own diocese. Liberals act like that. Not us."

That's true, but it's insufficient. The bad bishops get together frequently. They are on phone calls, conferences, publishing public letters, giving interviews, publicly backing dissidents and so forth. They are extremely well organized and have a plan. They meet, conspire, plan, execute, react, respond and come back again and again, just like their cultural and political liberal counterparts do. It's in the blood of liberals to fight, fight, fight or better said perhaps, rebel, rebel, rebel against the established order until they have overturned it.

Meanwhile, the "conservative" crowd just sits there very docile, barely registering a pulse, somehow thinking that it's "holy" to be a doormat and not do anything. It's holy to be a doormat in your own personal life, possibly. It's a sin to be a doormat and roll over and not defend the souls of others when they are threatened.

Where does anyone think this attack against the good bishop of Madison came from? It may have originated with a change.org petition launched by a social justice warrior, but it picked up steam and is now the subject of Associated Press articles and even the local Madison, Wisconsin, ABC affiliate did a story on it on their nightly news. And the takeaway from all these secular reports is this — Morlino and his outdated hateful theology should be ignored and even condemned. And where are his brother bishops coming to the forefront to defend and support him?

Heck, we did a couple of reports on Fr. James Martin's evil and cardinals and bishops and other priests practically trampled each other charging out of the closet to defend him. Even his liberal pals temporarily running the show in the Vatican couldn't resist taking a very public swipe at us in the Jesuit mouthpiece magazine which of course prompted a spate of reports in the secular press calling us every name imaginable of which few came to our defense.

The point isn't to complain that practically no one backed us up, it's to say that whatever anyone, bishop or laity — whoever — steps out to defend the Church, the engine of the great big gay and liberal and dissident hate machine cranks up goes on the attack and "conservatives" sit back and conserve. Too many "conservatives" seem overly concerned about their own skin, meaning their careers or reputations or possibly hidden scandals or whatever.

They need to realize like the bad bishops have that the way you get your agenda shoved through is to band together and be relentless — plan together, scheme and plot together, protect each other, work with each other and so forth. You never see one of the bad bishops or their allies ever left to dry out on his own. A bad guy says something bad — an immediately a press report comes out supporting him and two other guys write an article or publish a letter or whatever, immediately presenting a united front so that the message is loud and clear — go after our friend, and we all will attack you. These men are master manipulators, but you can learn from your enemies even some of the time.

Good bishops need to take a page from the playbook of these bad guys and get with it before they get picked off one at a time.
