Just before we begin, we'd like to wish a happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone out there, and the reason we are singling out St. Patrick is because roughly half of the Catholic population, historically, in the United States, has roots stretching back to Ireland, which obviously goes back to St. Patrick who converted the savage Celts. So, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Starting this coming Monday and each Monday following, Church Militant will be airing what we call Membership Monday at 7 p.m. ET. It will be a live chat program where Premium members will have access to the live chat — meaning, your questions or comments can be tapped to further the live discussion.

There are so many things going on in the Church and the world that it is impossible to cover everything.

Many times, things happening intersect with the world and the Church and need to be talked about (explained more in-depth) and you need to be given an opportunity to ask more about them. That's why we're launching this new effort. And I'm a bit biased, I know, but I can say with full confidence — there is no outfit in the Catholic world (as well as many secular outfits or personalities) that has the chops to talk about a large assortment of issues like Church Militant.

In short, there's just nobody in the Catholic world that has the firepower we have here at Church Militant. I did a little canvas of our staff, and even I was surprised at how much knowledge and accreditation is here.

That is a virtual tsunami of brains and smarts. Add to that, most of the producers, reporters and hosts have been personally trained by me — even if they would say they were thrown into the deep end, which they were.

This is a horn-tooting exercise, but folks scouring the internet need to know the advantages of coming to Church Militant for news and insights. During my secular career, I received four Emmy awards for investigative reporting and writing, 10 Emmy nominations, a number of Associated Press awards, Michigan broadcaster awards and Detroit Press Club awards.

And in addition to all of that, it is impossible to be successful in the news media world and not learn an awful lot about an awful lot — it just comes with the job. It's why we can see through, for example, the bishops' bull, and they know we know they're lying and deflecting.

I've taken those experiences and skills and passed them on to the staff here. And those who adapted and embraced all that and are still here are doing very well. They've learned how to chase down a story, get the facts, what questions to ask, how to do an interview, develop sources, look for angles, go deeper — in short, how to become information gurus.

When you come to Church Militant, for example, for our Membership Monday, as well as other programs and articles, you do get analysis and commentary, as well as the actual data points of the news. But that analysis has massive firepower behind it, as we showed you earlier, firepower not only from academic credentials but also expert training.

We are not like other Catholic sites or internet personalities who have next to zero credentials or professional experience, who offer little else than their not-very-well-informed opinion on something. There is a proliferation of podcasts and internet offerings now, much of it video, and in the Catholic world, it was Church Militant who got here first and, dare I say, best.

Again, I know this may sound like bragging, but given the huge number of places and people you can hear things from, we need to remind viewers that not all sites and personalities who have an opinion or webcast are created equal.

There is a lot of competition out there for your time and eyes and ears and absolutely no one, certainly in the Catholic world, as well as many secular sites, has the chops and credentials that Church Militant does. The amount of information that pours in here every day is astounding, and it all has to be dealt with, examined, talked about, followed up with, vetted, and then presented.

We may not do it perfectly every time, but we do it better than anyone else. We don't publish clickbait. We made a decision a long time ago that we would earn your trust by being accurate, not flashy and trashy. And to that point, and to show how impactful Church Militant is, the latest so-called artificial intelligence search engine, ChatGPT, when you type in Church Militant, comes back with a report that says Church Militant reporting is "unreliable."

The comment that comes back is, "While it is true that the website Church Militant for being a controversial and highly partisan source, it has also been criticized by some for publishing misleading and inaccurate information."

But, wait for it: 

In contrast, it is generally recommended that individuals seek out reputable sources with a track record of accuracy and impartiality when researching sensitive and complex topics like sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Such sources might include mainstream news outlets with established journalistic standards, academic research, or official documents and reports from organizations like the Catholic Church or law enforcement agencies.

So the very sources who lie, cheat, beg, borrow and steal that we report on are the ones ChatGPT says you should turn to for truthful info. You mean like Biden and Merrick Garland's FBI, who name Church Militant in their dossier as some kind of domestic terror threat?

Or the U.S. bishops who covered up the rapes of thousands and thousands of mostly teenage boys and have paid out almost $5B in secret settlements, and who have had to bankrupt close to three dozen dioceses while sitting on a secret slush fund with billions more in it? Or the Marxist media who work hand in glove with Big Tech and Capitol Hill commies to squelch the truth about every single topic that comes up?

You mean those reliable sources? You cannot make this stuff up, folks. Church Militant is a constant target precisely because what we report is based on fact, and they know it. That's why no other Catholic media apostolate or operation draws the scrutiny that we do, plain and simple. We talk plainly, truthfully and reliably — and the bad actors hate it. And we have the firepower here to ensure we know what we're talking about.

There is a gigantic case in federal court that is a test case for Biden's Department of Justice to squelch free speech under threat of voter alienation. And it's the most important case you've never heard of. And for Catholics, still reeling from the news about the secret FBI dossier targeting the faithful, this case bears very close scrutiny.

It's a little involved, and we don't want to go too far afield, but — just for background — in the run-up to the 2016 election, a man by the name of Douglass Mackey went under the Twitter identity of "Ricky Vaughn" and routinely posted satirical memes and tweets against Hillary Clinton. But one got him in trouble with the DOJ.

And here it is: It suggested Hillary supporters could just skip actually voting and instead just text a code and vote that way. It said, as you can see, "Avoid the line. Vote from home. Text Hillary to [the provided number]." It was a joke. And, at the time, everyone saw it that way — especially given multiple other political satires Mackey had posted under his Ricky Vaughn pseudonym.

Remember, this was in 2016. We ask you to remember because the Democrats never forget. Fast forward to the 2020 race and the Biden "win." And just seven days (one week) after the inauguration, Biden's DOJ actually arrested Mackey. Here's their press release — note the date, Jan. 27, 2021 — and here is the telling line from it, charging him with "use [of] various social media platforms to disseminate misinformation designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote."

And to add, in a flurry, "With Mackey's arrest, we serve notice that those who would subvert the democratic process in this manner cannot rely on the cloak of Internet anonymity to evade responsibility for their crimes. They will be investigated, caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law."

And if you think this is some kind of joke — the judge in the case recently threw out Mackey's motion to dismiss the case, and jury seating has begun. If convicted, Mackey could be behind bars in the federal prison system for up to 10 years — for a joke meme.

If you don't think the Marxist Democrats don't mean everything they say when they threaten you, well, don't forget this case. A few months after the arrest, Reuters did a follow-up story in May of 2021 where the beans were spilled on what this case was really all about:

The indictment of a far-right internet activist on charges of interfering with the 2016 U.S. election reflects a strategic shift by the Department of Justice and sets the stage for new cases against more prominent right-wing actors, according to people familiar with the matter. Federal prosecutors debated for years whether and how to pursue criminal cases against Americans suspected of disseminating false voting instructions to manipulate the election ... .

So a strategy was implemented — find one test case and see if Biden's thugs could make the case, and if they prevail, go after any political conservative using the precedent that would be set in this. The Reuters article continues, "One charge to start, against a demonstrably influential person, where evidence pointed to a real impact, the sources told Reuters."

There is much more detail to this case, and legal wrangling, but suffice it to say this is a very important First Amendment case — freedom of speech, perhaps the most important case — certainly in the era of thuggery of Biden's phony Justice Department.

As many of you who have followed Church Militant for a while know, thugs in both the Church, as well as the Marxist government, have tried, unsuccessfully so far, to shut us down or paint us as terrorists or threats or whatever. The times, as the saying goes, are getting desperate.

One of the great things about the convention is the speakers they are able to draw each year, and, this year, the slate included Human Events chief, Jack Posobiec — a dedicated, committed Catholic who has a thing or two to say about the demise of the American culture.

Indeed, America, as the whole of Western civilization, could very well be facing its death knell, but the reason it has happened, according to Posobiec, is because of a lack of authentic Christianity. In that position, he echoes much of what Church Militant has been saying for years.

Likewise, the unwillingness on the part of those in the establishment — including the Catholic establishment — who will not add their voices to the condemning of the injustice and corruption.

Since the fall of Roe, the child killers have figured out their strategy whereby abortion would be legal, state by state, in all 50 states. They are working diligently — again, on a state-by-state level — to actually create an environment worse and more devastating than had been the case under Roe.

Just as in honest presidential elections, whatever way Ohio goes is an almost automatic win for the candidate. It really is a bellwether state. So if you win here, it's pretty clear that you'll win overall, and that reality has propelled Ohio into the pole position — ground zero — in the abortion wars.

For all the celebration over the shooting down of Roe, it could turn out to be a Pyrrhic victory and end up locking down abortion as a state constitutional "right" in all 50 states and turn out to be a boon for the child-killing machine and actually be installed by the voters themselves. In short, the end of Roe is turning out to be the greatest win the pro-aborts could ever have had.

Peter Range, who is Catholic, is the chief executive officer of Ohio Right to Life and is leading the charge of a coalition of pro-life groups statewide against the ballot measure.

The heart of the problem here is this: Time may have already run out. Roe was so set in the minds of Americans as a thing — abortion was just part of the fabric of American life for so long — that, in state after state, most voters are resistant to end it.

So far, since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe in the Dobbs decision, the pro-life movement is 0-6, having lost every time at the ballot box when the question of abortion (yes or no?) was put to voters straight up.

Too many in the pro-life movement were simply unprepared for the child killers to get back up off the mat with such ferocity, again being caught flat-footed, either being too naive or too exhausted to look into the abyss of darkness that is child murder and realize that Satan never rests and never gives up.

This naive belief or lack of awareness is and has been the Achilles heel of the movement. The movement is going to have to come to terms — and come to terms fast — with the reality that it has been waging the wrong war for half a century.

For all the legal maneuvering and political posturing and strategizing to get the "right" justices on the Court and chipping away at Roe on the state level, that has ultimately proved to be a very costly battle, as well as, perhaps, the ticket to lock in abortion as a foundational "right" in every state in America.

The battle plan simply took too long to unfold. Like every single issue where sin is involved, it is always a battle between good vs. evil — and that means the battle needed to be fought along the lines of natural moral law.

Trump won Ohio both in 2016 and 2020 by sizable margins as the Buckeye State turned more and more red. There is a call to duty for Catholics to be involved heavily in the affairs of the world — meaning, the Church, as well, since She operates in the world. Pope Leo summed it up well, in the late 19th century: Catholics, he said, are made for combat. He penned those words in an encyclical that virtually no Catholic knows of, and even more reject: Sapientiae Christianae (Christians as Citizens), issued in 1890.

Pope Leo spent a good deal of his time, huge amounts of his time, dealing with social issues and the duty of Catholics to respond — meaning fight. He was doing this in reaction to the ever-increasing threat of the Marxist specter, still somewhat in its infancy, but, nonetheless, gaining strength.

He saw the lies in Marxism — communism — and declared that Catholics have a primary duty to rise up against this: "To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe."

Did you catch that? One more time for emphasis: "To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe."

Let's boil it down: If you are a wimp or stay silent, you either have no character or no faith. While that line paints a horrifying picture of the number of bishops who will be damned, it is a certainty that there will be many laymen right there with them in eternal torment.

When he declared that we are born for combat, it was no accident he used a military reference — not to promote violence, but massive resistance and to be on the offensive. Likewise, this apostolate did not, by chance or a throw of the dice, choose the name Church Militant. Catholics are born for combat — spiritual combat which flows into the world.

Too few Catholics have a sufficient understanding that their eternal salvation depends on how hard they fight against evil in all its locales. Fighting societal evils, as well as in the Church, is a core component of evangelization. Where the truth is not proclaimed with full vigor, falsehoods and lies rush in to fill the vacuum.

What was happening in society that Leo was warning about was also happening in the Church at the same time, which is why the next pope, St. Pius X, issued his encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis (Feed My Sheep), warning bishops around the world about the great heresy of modernism. Two encyclicals, almost back-to-back, from two back-to-back popes, warning about, first, Marxism and then modernism.

With one single generation, Holy Mother Church had zeroed in and attacked the dual-headed monster, the leviathan, recognizing that each deadly threat emanated from the same source. Modernism and Marxism are the same beast — one head arising from the State, the other from religion. If you want a clearer reference to St. John's Apocalypse, you'd be hard-pressed to find one.

And to provide just one small but direct example, look at the cooperation, for example, between the U.S. bishops' Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the U.S. government. The bishops have the gall to send out emails asking for donations from average Catholics while at the same time receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from the anti-Catholic government.

Talk about a two-headed monster — CRS and others of these "church charities," like Catholic Campaign for Human Development, have been proven time and time again to cooperate with contraception, abortion, and sterilization programs in third-world countries. Closer to home, they work hand in glove with Democrats to get their targeted voters to keep the machinery well-oiled. And why not? They rake in more than half their annual budget from the united Party of Death establishment.

If you are Catholic and giving to these appeals from the bishops, when they are already making huge amounts of money hand over fist as a reward for cooperating with the Culture of Death, then you've got to be brain-dead. As we said, the fight, the combat, that Catholics must be engaged in is part of evangelization — bringing the truth of the gospel to society and not just some mealymouthed "Jesus loves you," look-how-cool-we-are style, but a ferocity to tear down the walls of this evil empire — combat.

Do you not realize that the silence and indifference to all this are not only costing souls their eternal lives but will cost you yours as well? Father John Hardon — God rest his soul — Servant of God Fr. Hardon said, "Any Catholic not involved in the work of evangelization might never entertain a serious hope for the Beatific Vision." Want something to meditate on for Lent that doesn't comport with your comfortable, sweet, little piety? Think on that for a moment.

Catholics are born for combat. Want more? Hear Our Blessed Lord: "You are the salt of the earth; but what happens when the salt loses its flavor? It is good for nothing except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." (Matthew 5:13) Who do you think He's talking to? Catholics.

The leviathan of Marxism and modernism is what Church Militant has set our sights on. They are different sides of the same coin; they work hand in hand. No Catholic apostolate sees and operates with this clear understanding that modernism and Marxism are the same beast.

We are human beings, a composite of body and soul, and that means our work as Catholics, our combat, must be waged both in the culture as well as against the evils within the Church. A saint once said, "The only way to win Heaven is to die fighting."

In war, someone (some unit) must be "the tip of the spear," the first ones off the landing craft — the first to charge over the hill right into the teeth of enemy fire. They are the ones who clear the way for the entire rest of the assault force, which hopefully follows right behind them. In the war over truth, raging right now in the Church, Church Militant has been that tip of the spear.

We were the ones, and remain the ones, challenging evil upon evil by exposing the deeds of darkness  — the financial corruption, along with the sexual, liturgical and theological corruption. Why do we do this? Because in war, there is no way to actually vanquish the enemy without attacking him — a full-on assault. Defense never wins; it only stalls the inevitable loss.

This is a lesson that so-called conservatives, in their desire to simply conserve and never actually advance, have never learned. The most aggressive always wins the war. No military geniuses went down in history because of their ability to defend.

The conservative movement, such as it is in the Church, is comprised of soft men, weak men, who are every bit as responsible for the loss of tens of millions of souls because of their complicity by their silence. It's not so much that there are evil men in the Church — there certainly are — but that they are unchallenged, even by those who should be challenging them and reporting on them.

It's fine for the Catholic establishment media to report official things happening in the Church, essentially recycling the bishops' press releases; or for the "mad, rad, trad" media to never stop talking about Francis because it's clickbait; but where's the actual journalism, the actual duty to tell the whole truth? Francis didn't walk off an alien spaceship or drop out of the sky. He emerged from the ecclesiastical swamp of bishops worldwide who are hapless at best and largely malformed in the Faith.

The Catholic establishment media won't report on that because they are in the bishops' pocket, and the "mad, rad, trad" internet guys can't because they possess no journalistic skills beyond raging commentary. The wicked men in the Church are not the majority, but they are given majority power when the actual majority simply hands it over to them. We see it nonstop in the political arena as well.

The combination of evil and cowardice creates a condition so cataclysmic in the Church, as well as the culture, that there really are no words to describe it. An empire of evil gets constructed inside the Church — and that empire must be assaulted. 

That empire is made up of many parts: a profitable establishment that has no desire to rock the boat, the heretics and schismatics themselves who bring about the destruction, various media and celebrity types who engineer one deflection after another — with all of that aimed at the bored, indifferent Catholic who was never formed in the authentic Faith. As such, they are sitting ducks for Satan.

Every army, no matter how small, must be able to sustain itself in even the worst conditions. No one has led the charge against all of this evil more publicly and effectively than Church Militant, which is why we are so despised — from Rome to our home diocese, to the U.S. bishops' conference, to even the halls of the FBI — because we fight the leviathan, we have for many years.

All that matters is truth, no matter who is offended by it. And check it out, anyone who is offended by the truth is not on the side of authentic Catholicism because the Church possesses the fullness of the truth. The Catholic Church is a weapon, a battering ram, meant to smash through the gates of Hell and defeat that evil in every soul that picks up this weapon.

But as we said, every fighting force needs backing, support, assistance. Church Militant, like every other honest group, is not immune to the economic peril of the communists in Washington, D.C., and their middle class–crushing politics.

Every day, tens of thousands of people watch our material (Vortex, Evening News, Headlines and timely specials, as well as Red Top Report) and, of course, read our articles as well. And while some donate or are premium members, this economy has taken its toll on us, just like many others. Of course it does. While the emphasis can never be on money while doing the work of the Church, money is not nothing. It's critical, in fact. We know that people are feeling the pinch — in some cases, much more than a pinch — and that limits their ability to support. But we also know that many more people, while, yes, dealing with the effects of Bidenomics, do have enough for a few bucks a month, but simply have never done it.

So we're asking you now to do it. We'll ask again, especially those who have watched much of our content and donated little or nothing in years past: Do you not think the work we do here at Church Militant is worth $1 a day? We know the internet is viewed as "free" and depending on what you click on, much of it is "free" — but not really. We don't take advertising, we don't share or sell your emails, we don't have annoying ads pop up all over the place on the site — every bit of support we get is from you.

The news about that FBI dossier talking about faithful Catholics being terror threats and naming Church Militant is like the gift that keeps on giving. The other day, a reporter here in Michigan called and asked to interview me on the subject of Christian nationalism, which I agreed to.

He said he was trying to better understand what Christian nationalism is, and since I had been interviewed earlier on the subject, he wanted to get inside my head and learn about it. Of course, all this talk about Church Militant, as well as others, being domestic White terrorist nationalist extremist Christians (there, did I cover every permutation possible?) is completely insane.

These adjectives are thrown around in every possible combination you can think of: White terrorists, extremist nationalists, domestic Christians and a hundred other combos. What it shows, more than any threat, is just how idiotic and propagandist the people conflating all these things are.

If you take those six adjectives — Christian, terrorist, extreme, White, domestic and nationalist — and arrange them in varying combos, you get the entire, crazy world of the leftists trying to label Christians, especially Catholics, as a threat to the established order: enemies of the State. And the combination can be whatever combo a given outlet or government agency wants it to be because, in the end, for them and multiple media allies, all that matters is that we are somehow portrayed as dangerous or violent.

Nevermind it's not Catholics lopping the heads off hundreds of statues of saints across the country or defacing our own parishes with graffiti and sometimes setting them on fire or attacking pro-life pregnancy centers. What matters is that we are the enemy — period.

And if they can't find an actual crime, like with the case of pro-life dad Mark Houck, then they'll just scramble the adjective list around and come up with a fresh label. When the reporter asked me what Christian nationalism is, I told him, 

A view of the nation and culture rooted in the Christian belief that all men are created equal and possess a certain dignity because they are created in the image and likeness of God. From that truth flows how laws should be constructed, how politics should be conducted and how the natural moral law should be the basis for the governing of human affairs.

He said, "Well, why does it have to be Christian? Why can't it be Hindu or Islamic?"

I said,

Because neither of those belief systems subscribes to the natural moral law or the foundational truth that we are all made in the image and likeness of God and, therefore, cannot be treated with less dignity. Islam doesn't treat its women with the deserved dignity of being made in the image and likeness of God, and Hinduism has a caste system where those on the bottom are viewed as practically less than human and, we might add, treated accordingly in law.

He appeared to have gotten that notion but then moved on to the question of nationalism, saying, "Why would a nation have to be governed by Christian principles?"

I replied, 

Because it is Christian, specifically Catholic, teaching that recognizes natural moral law as originating from God as the standard in how we should relate to each other. We don't kill children in the womb, we don't subject the poor, we don't mutilate our children, we don't treat perverse sex as something protected in law and so on. We don't take away people's rights and means to defend their lives and property as well as the lives of others.

As you might imagine, the questions included "What about the Crusades and death penalty?" What is the point here is that it is Church Militant, more and more, being sought out to explain these sorts of things — that Western civilization was built by the Catholic Church, raised up from the ashes of the Roman empire.

We are the ones who converted and settled the marauding barbarian hordes, built an agricultural society, developed hospitals and universities — and did every bit of it based on the underlying Christian worldview, rooted in natural moral law, that all men are created in the image and likeness of God. Heck, the underlying natural moral law is so prima facie that even an atheist could accept it. In fact, in practice, most of them do; they just don't realize it because they haven't thought about it enough.

Yet just underneath the surface of all these interviews and articles and FBI notes and so forth is the reality that Church Militant is on their radar, having established ourselves as the outfit for Catholics, expounding on the political and social events of the day. Every article, every video, every mention, raises our profile in their book as a legitimate threat to their worldview, a threat that sooner or later will have to be dealt with. Man, it's great to be in the fight.

At one point, he said to me, "Well, what you seem to be painting is an 'us vs. them' mentality or scenario."

I said,

On the level of persons made in the image and likeness of God, no, that's not true. But on the field of worldviews, absolutely, although it's not something we're creating, it just is. That side, that ideology, does not see all people as made in the image of God. We do — and those are fighting words.

So you can see the trend line here, by now, just like we can. Church Militant cannot be left alone, unattended, while we deconstruct their narrative about man, God, the universe, the body politic. Their narrative, their worldview, is secular humanist, a world without God — ultimately, atheist communism.

And Church Militant is happy to be the lead enemy of the State, if that is their State: one that murders infants before they see their first sunrise, or butchers and mutilates young boys and girls, or submits them to unrelenting porn or drag shows, a state that applauds sodomy as "marriage" and allows perverts to pick out which in vitro fertilization baby they want to save and raise as their own child without a mother while the other tiny humans are flushed down the toilet.

But with each passing moment or setting, they get bolder. One of the big "ta-da" moments was a speech given by two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton back in 2015. It was to the annual Women in the World Conference where thousands of women — many of whom have killed their children — get together to make sure the killing goes on and women everywhere can be proud about it.

And remember the context of the speech; it was Obama's final year in office. Hillary had been his secretary of state for all of his first term, and she was already on the campaign trail, having announced her White House run just a week earlier. So it's extremely important to note that a person who wants to be president of the United States feels completely at home saying this publicly:

Allow us to focus your attention, in case you missed that: "Religious beliefs have to be changed." Remember the moment — the context is critical. This woman was seen as the presumptive Democratic nominee and, more importantly, the next president of the United States.

Trump wouldn't announce his own 2016 run for two more months. And after each won their respective nominations, Hillary was the odds-on favorite. Even going into Election Night coverage, Hillary was expected to win. The New York Times tracker started the night with her at a 91% chance of winning.

But as the night wore on for team Clinton, the mood soured, and reporter gossip said after it was clear she was going to lose, a drunken Hillary let her rage out on top campaign staffers, belting them across their faces and smashing a very expensive bottle of champagne into an even more expensive giant monitor in their campaign returns room.

Drunk with booze and rage, she sent campaign director John Podesta down to the now-depressed crowd waiting downstairs in the Javits Center in Manhattan to tell everyone to go home. Podesta, you might remember, was the traitor Catholic who had been busted for his emails during the WikiLeaks dump showing he was actively trying to subvert the Catholic vote.

But true to form, team evil got back up quickly off the mat and set about thwarting everything, not just to limit Trump to one unsuccessful term and hamper him every step of the way, but to ensure a level of deceit against the American electorate so that no Republican could ever win again (even if he did). What came about in the aftermath of the 2016 shock was a plan to so cripple the opposition as to render it incapable of ever fighting back efficiently.

Since the government cannot directly impede the First Amendment rights of citizens, the Marxists in Washington, D.C. and K Street began a collusion with corporate America chieftains, especially in Big Tech and the media to completely censor free speech, labeling it "disinformation."

The government can't censor you, but those First Amendment protections only protect you from the government, not private corporations. So the canceling began in earnest. It was in this time frame that we, here at Church Militant, began drawing attention from national media outlets and were labeled extremists, alt-right, White nationalists, etc.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a radical extremist hate group if there ever was one (but operated by the Left), put Church Militant on its hate group list. As a result, as well as the general anti-Catholic animus present in the dominant culture, our hosting providers and other digital services began canceling us. These attacks by the Marxists necessitated us creating our own digital ecosystem independent of Big Tech — and yes, that cost us a small fortune.

The combination of that designation as a hate group plus the canceling and the lying, fake news reports about us is what got us into that FBI dossier where we are discussed on Page 4. Even in the Church, lies and propaganda were launched against our work on behalf of the Faith by multiple leftist bishops and their cowardly cooperators in the Catholic establishment.

If you didn't see the fireworks in the U.S. Senate hearings last Wednesday when Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley tore into Attorney General Merrick Garland, you missed one of the most epic scenes ever on Capitol Hill and  — the heart of the matter — the anti-Catholicism of the U.S. Attorney General and his unjust Justice Department.

Garland sat there like a petulant little child who'd been busted (which he had) and then pretended to not really know about anything. Hawley was having none of it. The seven-minute mauling by the Missouri senator was over two specific issues. 

The first, the unjust prosecution of faithful Catholic Mark Houck, whom Garland's Department of Justice sent a couple dozen FBI SWAT troopers to arrest at his house — completely out of line. Houck had already volunteered to turn himself in to face the trumped-up charges, but anti-Catholic Garland staged the law enforcement assault anyway, in the early morning hours. For the record, so preposterous was the case that the jury came back with a "not guilty" verdict in just one hour.

But the other part of Hawley's questions (attack, really) centered on the now infamous FBI report where Church Militant was discussed on Page 4. The dossier associated faithful Catholics who attend the Latin Mass with domestic terror organizations and White nationalists and anything else you can imagine. The Catholic-hater Attorney General dodged and weaved and pretended to denounce the FBI dossier, but, of course, all of this was only after it was leaked to the press.

Before that, despite insisting that the feds never go after a person or group because of their First Amendment expression, the FBI was going after groups like us here at Church Militant because of our First Amendment expressions. You'll remember that we had to sue the city of Baltimore to exercise our First Amendment rights back in 2021 at the Bishops: Enough is Enough rally.

While the city is not the feds, they all come from the same political, ideological toilet. They hate Catholicism — faithful, authentic Catholicism — and they seem to have taken a certain shine to us here at Church Militant because we talk and report a lot about the great intersection of religion and politics.

Make no mistake, despite Garland's claims about the dossier being pulled and condemned, any reasonable mind would immediately conclude correctly that it's only because they got busted. And now Garland has to sit in front of Congress and lie and play the fool to cover it all up. We see where this is all going, we have for a while. That's why we spent over $350,000 to go after Baltimore and win that suit — to set a legal precedent, which we did.

After the city got rocked by the trial judge's 87-page ruling (tearing them a new one), the city then appealed to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals — one step below the U.S. Supreme Court — and they got blown out of the water there, as well. Church Militant: 2, commies: 0!

Church Militant is the one fighting these battles — leading the charge — establishing legal precedents for the protection of religious liberty. Apparently, the commies in Washington, D.C., don't like that — too bad.
