  • Keep Your Eye on the Hero

Mike Foster- Keep Your Eye on the Hero- Acts 4

Today we look at Peter and John’s encounter with the Supreme Court of Israel, the Sanhedrin. They didn’t like what Peter and John were teaching the crowd after healing the crippled man. While the leaders tried to quiet Peter and John, they said they couldn’t help but telling others about what they had seen and heard. The truth that salvation is found in no one else under heaven, that Jesus alone is our hero.

  • Show and Tell

Mike Foster- Show and Tell- Acts 3

Today we take a trip down memory lane, back to one of our favorite days in Kindergarten. Show and Tell Day. Who didn’t like bringing a toy or souvenir to class and telling your classmates about it? Who would’ve thought that this simple activity would be the best blueprint for how we can share our faith with others?

  • Life Together

Mike Foster- Life Together- Acts 2

Today we look at some of the key practices that helped grow the Early Church. After Jesus ascended to heaven, what did the Apostles pass on to those early believers and what were the results of their actions. We learn that the Lord added to their number daily because they were participating in these practices together. Though we can’t meet together right now, we can prepare ourselves so that as we are more able to engage the world around us they might win their favor and help lead them into a relationship with Jesus.

  • A Life-Changing Moment

    Mike Foster- A Life-Changing Moment- Acts 2

Today we continue to walk with the Disciples into their New World after Jesus’s Ascension. As they wait for the promised Holy Spirit, they are hidden in the Upper Room, but when the Holy Spirit comes, they are empowered to leave the confines of the Upper Room and head to the streets to share with everyone about Jesus. This burst of activity causes others to wonder if they are drunk. Peter assures them that this is not drunkenness but the fulfillment of prophecy and the mission of God. In light of the New World we are facing, we need to be reminded that some things stay the same. Our hope is still in the Gospel. The Gospel still changes lives, even ours. We need to share that hope with others and complete the mission of Jesus.

  • Maximum Impact

Mike Foster- Maximum Impact- Acts 1.

As the disciples faced a whole new world after the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, we face before us a new world as we consider what things will be like when the current health crisis passes. How will this reshape relationships, our activities and lives in the days and months ahead? Not only that, but how can we use this current hardship as a starting point to renew and deepen our faith, as well as help others be restored to relationship with Jesus. This might just be our finest hour as God prepares us to make a Maximum Impact for His Kingdom.
