The Almighty God is the master of all things in Heaven and on Earth. His mastery makes him the controller of these things, and therefore gives Him the power and the right to judge us by our actions and thoughts. Before Jesus died for our sins on the cross, people had to go to the elders of the church to make their requests known unto God. Now, through Jesus Christ, we can go directly to God in prayer. When we pray, we should only ask for those things which are spiritual for ourselves, not physical. Our Father already knows what we need physically. There is peace in pleasure, as pleasure balances out the constant imbalance in our brains called homeostasis. It takes away our discomfort, even if it's just for a short time. However, the desire for pleasure leads to sin. We need to consume pleasure in moderation to avoid sin. To do this, we need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Just as an apple tree can only bear apples, a good man can only bear good actions. This also applies to evil men. One cannot have an evil heart and do good actions. The world is stuck in the continual strive for greatness. From academics to athletics, people are obsessed with dominating the competition and replacing others as the best of the best. What they don't understand is that we are already great. We are great because God sent His Son to die on the cross for us, and Jesus willingly did just that.
