Join us today as we study this week's Come Follow Me materials dealing with section 29 of the Doctrine and Covenants. We consider the events of the Second Coming and why they need not be so fear-inducing!

Joseph Fielding Smith: But we who live in the present day should take heed and profit by the experiences of those who have gone before and not fall into their grievous errors. We should remember that the same warnings have been given to us and “to all the inhabitants of the earth” that destruction awaits this age unless men refrain from wickedness and abominations. Let us not forget that the Lord said it should be in this day as it was in the days of Noah. We should remember also that he is still a “God of wrath” (D&C 1:9) as well as a “God of love” (2 Corinthians 13:11) and that he has promised to pour out his wrath upon the ungodly and to “take vengeance upon the wicked” who will not repent (D&C 29:17).

Not only did the ancient prophets predict that such should be the case in these latter days; the Lord has also spoken it in our own dispensation.

Join us today as we study this week's Come Follow Me materials dealing with section 29 of the Doctrine and Covenants. We consider the importance of gathering Israel and what this means for us today.

John M Madsen: All who know and understand the glorious work of redemption wrought by the Lord Jesus Christ and all who know of his majesty and power and promises understand why they are to be of good cheer. They who have come to know him do not fear! They look unto him in “every thought.” They “doubt not,” and they “fear not.” They know that he, the Lord Jesus Christ, is with them and that he will stand by them!
