A diario estamos subiendo a esa barca la cual representa nuestra propia vida pero no en todas las barcas está Jesús….   Y ESTO ES PRECISAMENTE DE LO QUE HOY QUIERO HABLARTE!!!    QUE NO IMPORTA LA TORMENTA QUE SE LEVANTE EN TU VIDA CUANDO SABES QUE ES DIOS QUIEN SUBIÓ A ESA BARCA CONTIGO.  Mateo 8:23-27 NVI  Jesús calma la tormenta 23 Luego subió a la barca y sus discípulos lo siguieron. 24 De repente, se levantó en el lago una tormenta tan fuerte que las olas inundaban la barca. Pero Jesús estaba dormido. 25 Los discípulos fueron a despertarlo.—¡Señor —gritaron—, sálvanos, que nos vamos a ahogar!  26 —Hombres de poca fe —les contestó—, ¿por qué tienen tanto miedo?Entonces se levantó y reprendió a los vientos y a las olas, y todo quedó completamente tranquilo.27 Los discípulos no salían de su asombro, y decían: «¿Qué clase de hombre es este, que hasta los vientos y las olas le obedecen?»  Every day we are getting into that boat which represents our own life but not in all the boats is Jesus….  AND THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT I WANT TO TALK TO YOU TODAY !!!  IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT STORM THAT ARISES IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT IT IS GOD WHO GOT UP ON THAT BOAT WITH YOU.  Matthew 8: 23-27 NIV  Jesus Calms the Storm 23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a storm arose on the lake so strong that the waves washed over the boat. But Jesus was asleep. 25 The disciples went to wake him up. "Lord," they shouted, "save us, we're going to drown!" 26 “Men of little faith,” he answered, “why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and all was completely calm. 27 The disciples did not come out of their astonishment, and said: “ What kind of man is this, that even the winds and waves obey him? "

God promised Abraham that he was going to be a father of many nations yet there was no child because his wife Sarah was barren. Abraham in the course of time whilst waiting ended up having a child by his slave maid Hagar and the child’s name was Ismael yet God said the promised child was going to come through Sarah but for thirteen years there was silence. No sign of pregnancy. This morning I want you to know that with God there is nothing too late.  With God there are no dead ends, only training grounds. God’s delay is not denial.  The most important thing about our faith is not where we are going but rather what we are becoming. How God forms our character to become more like Jesus in times adversity. In life we face may many obstacles but God is able to remove obstacles.  No obstacles however big can thwart the purposes of God:

1 Kings 18:41-46 New King James Version  The Drought Ends 41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” 42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” 44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” 45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. 46 Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.  The passage we just read is about how rain came to the dry stricken land of Israel.  Elijah, God’s great prophet heard a sound of a heavy rain.  What are you hearing this morning? It is my prayer that God will open our ears to hear what He is saying this morning and in this

Sometimes in our lives we all one way or the other face certain issues of life (financial-economy crunch, bareness, diseases etc) that we expect people to understand but no one seems to understands or able to help. As a result we tend to feel disappointed and behave as if all hope is gone because people have failed to provide answers to our various life issues we face. We therefore allow the issues to define and take control of us until they gradually take deeper roots in us where we start to blame people for our failures. Many people get distracted and lose concentration of who God is what his promises are for his children and by so doing we tend to lose our divine identity in the midst of these issues of life.  Issues and challenges are part of our daily lives. However in Christ we live, move and we have our being and therefore we are assured that no matter the issue or the challenge it can be dealt with through Christ who strengthens us.

This morning, I will like to take this opportunity to wish all fathers a happy father’s day. I say may the good Lord bless you all amazing fathers today. You are doing a great job and I salute all of you. Since it is fathers day today, my message will mainly focus on the fathers but I also pray it will also be a blessing to the women as well.  The title for the message this morning is “AS FOR ME”.  Lets read:  Joshua 24 New International Version The Covenant Renewed at Shechem 14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” 16 Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods!  The scriptural verse "as for me and my house" is very popular and it is typically seen at people’s doorway at their home. It can be seen as a plaque people keep in the kitchen or on their mantle in the living room. It’s a recognized verse of the Bible that many attribute to their belief in how they should live individually and as a family. Now the question is how did “"as for me and my house" come about and who said it? Now Joshua 24 is long passage but for the sake of time I only read verses 14-16 where the focus of the message is. So just to give you some context from the passage, Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan and into the promised land to take up their promised inheritance.. And as his death drew ever closer he gave a farewell speech to the nation, which had been chosen by God to be a holy nation unto the Lord and a peculiar people unto Himself. Joshua rehearsed his final instructions in the ears of a nation.. that was to frequently and repeatedly do evil in the eyes of the Lord.

REGOCIJATE EN LA AFLICCIÓN   en esta oportunidad quiero seguir en el mismo sentir en el Espíritu con la palabra que nos compartió nuestro Pastor Emanuel el domingo anterior de mi felicidad esta en el Señor   El tema que vamos a estar desarrollado hoy es COMO REGOCIJARTE EN LA AFLICCIÓN…  Para empezar quiero que vayamos a la palabra en ROMANOS 5:3-5 hablando Pablo   "Si vienen aflicciones a nuestras vidas, podemos regocijarnos también de ellas, porque nos enseñan a tener paciencia; y la paciencia engendra en nosotros fortaleza de carácter y nos ayuda a confiar cada vez más en Dios, hasta que nuestra esperanza y nuestra fe sean fuertes y constantes. Entonces podremos mantener la frente en alto en cualquier circunstancia, sabiendo que todo irá bien, pues conocemos la ternura del Amor de Dios hacia nosotros, y sentiremos su calor dondequiera que estemos porque Él nos ha dado el Espíritu Santo para que llene nuestros corazones de Su Amor." Then we will be able to keep our forehead up in any circumstance, knowing that everything will be fine, for we know the tenderness of God's love towards us, and we will feel his warmth wherever we are because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His Love."  Romans 5:3-5 (Bible A Day)  En primer lugar dice que si vienen aflicciones a nuestra vida podemos regocijarnos también …. Porque nos enseñan a ser pacientes y la paciencia nos fortalece el carácter y nos ayuda a confiar cada vez más en Dios .  Parece sencillo, suena bonito peroooo,  en el momento en el que estamos bajo una tristeza, aflicción, dolor usualmente pensamos porque a nosotros porque tengo que vivir esto o lo otro?  Lo mejor manera de atravesar una aflicción es haciendo una evaluación COMO ASÍ DIANA !!!  Yo te  pregunto que haces tú cuando te sientes muy enfermo y algo te  duele mucho?

This morning I am going to break the Chapter Contents into two. Firstly Verses 1 to 4 deals with “Why we should not trust in men” and secondly verses 5 to 10 deals with “Why we should trust in God  While I live I will praise the LORD;I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.  WHY?  Lets look at the following verses:  Isaiah 38:18-19 New International Version 18 For the grave cannot praise you,    death cannot sing your praise;those who go down to the pit    cannot hope for your faithfulness.19 The living, the living—they praise you,    as I am doing today;parents tell their children    about your faithfulness.  Psalm 115:17 New King James Version 17 The dead do not praise the LORD,Nor any who go down into silence.  This emphasises what whilst the Psalmist say whilst I live because the dead cannot praise God.  Psalm 104:33 King James Version 33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.  We can only praise God whilst we live. We have to understand that we will not live on this earth forever. That’ why the Psalmist says While I live will I praise the LORD We are here today and tomorrow we are gone. Nobody can tell how long the y will live on this earth. In Psalm 150:6 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. As long we have breath we must praise the Lord.  We are alive because of God's mercy. Lets sing unto our God our creator while we have our being. Breathing is a reminder of PRAISE. Say to yourself "while I have my being" I will give God the adoration and lift up His name in praise.  Now after the Psalmist encourages us to PRAISE God, he then begins to talk about two contrasting things. But first lets look at the first one which is do put your trust in man and then he explains why.  He says do not put your trust in princes. Why? Because even the highest among men – princes – are not worthy of our confidence. We are sure to be disappointed when we put our trust in whom there is no help. Note the phrase “whom there is no help”. The bible says in Jeremiah 17:5

Question: "How big is God?"How big is your God?   WHY IM SAYING THIS? Because unless you know the SIZE of your GOD the size of your enemy can scare and intimidate you!

efore I get into the message I will like to tell you a message. One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him and the other to the LORD.When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."  Now from the passage, we just read, this is the state where two weary travelers were at as they walked the seven miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They felt alone, They were confused, disappointed, and fear-filled. They had lost their hopes and expectations after the death of their Master, Jesus Christ. On their journey, they were arguing and debating with each other.

Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV) 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;7 rather, he made himself nothing    by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,    being made in human likeness.8 And being found in appearance as a man,    he humbled himself    by becoming obedient to death—        even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place    and gave him the name that is above every name,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,    to the glory of God the Father.  In this passage, the apostle appeals to believers to cultivate an attitude of humility. He gives them an example to emulate, namely, Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate model of humility. He says in verses 6–9 that Jesus, who is God and who has always been God, did not hold tightly to His position of equality with God. Instead, Jesus emptied Himself or made Himself nothing. He left His high rank in heaven to become a humble, human servant. He set aside His rights and privileges as God to live a life of humble service and obedience, even to the point of dying a horrible death on the cross for sinners.As a result of Jesus Christ’s self-emptying and self-humiliation, God exalted Him to the highest place of honor. Jesus, who stooped down low, was raised by the Father to His glorious position in heaven. The name that is above all names is the supreme name—the divine name Lord. This name acknowledges Jesus Christ’s absolute lordship as divine King of the universe, and it brings with it the right to be worshiped.
