So much of what is going on today can leave us wondering why this is happening or what is the good that can come of this.

The fact is, we are not called to understand everything and we may not always be able to see the "good" that God is working. We must understand that we are not confined to the things we see and experience in the natural where things may appear contrary to the Word. We are called to trust His Word and have faith that He will complete it. We are called to walk contrary to the world and to walk in the Spirit.  When we do, He will come through in the time of need. He will not leave us orphans.

Freedom isn't free. As we set aside a day eacy year to memorialize those who have fought for our freedoms, we need to also remember that those same freedoms are still under attack and need to be fought for. As tyranny encroaches freedom, it can be challenging to know when to submit to authority and when to take a stand and say "enough is enough." This is where faith comes in. As we take steps to stand up for our rights, it may feel like we are on our own. It may cause us to wonder if we're doing the right thing. It is after the first steps are taken that God shows up and does His part. God responds to faith.

Biblical answers to questions revolving around faith, life, and the times in which we are living.

There is an idea going around that we are living in times like never before. In some ways that may be true, but when you compare our society with those found in scripture you will see that history repeats itself. The parallels of Bible times and today paint a grim picture and can lead to wondering when things are going to change. When will our prayers be answered? When will God respond to our fasting? What is the good that can come of this?

Thankfully scripture doesn't leave us with a grim picture but also shows how we can turn things around. Although things seem grim, we are on the winning team. Although it may feel like there is no hope, there is hope, there is good news if we walk in obedience.

In times of trouble, we all desire peace. Be encouraged that we are promised a "peace that passes all understanding." This is a peace that is not determined by circumstances. This is a peace that doesn't come naturally. This is a peace that doesn't make sense when you really think about.

To have the "peace that passes all understanding;" we need to detach from our circumstances, get rid of whatever is causing separation from Christ, and draw as close to Him as He is to the Father.
