In the Road to Emmaus story in Luke 24, the risen Jesus encounters the disciples as they're simply going on their way. Similarly, Jesus makes himself known to us in our everyday, mundane, ordinary moments. Do we have eyes to see?

Luke 24:13-35

The resurrection changes everything. No matter our present circumstances, there's hope because Jesus is alive! Like Mary Magdalene and the disciples, we too can experience the presence of the risen Christ and experience life, joy, hope, and peace in him.

John 20:1-18

Behold the shockingly humble love of Christ. But don't merely behold it from a distance. Let yourself be loved by Jesus. And as you're changed by him, you'll grow more into his image and imitate his love.

John 13:1-15

The Palm Sunday liturgy is a jarring experience. But this teaches us something true and profound about our human nature and extends a significant invitation for us as we enter into Holy Week together.

During this Instructed Eucharist service, the sermon is shorter with commentary spaced throughout the service. In this short homily, we reflect on why the Church Calendar is so important for our formation as followers of Jesus.
