Your life matters to God more than it matters to you.

Human beings are imperfect partners in promise. God’s commitments are certain!

God stands ready to ignite a flame within you. Don’t expect it to be easy or pain-free. But do expect life-giving transformation to take place.

Character is no accident. God gives us character through his grace. Yet it is also a grace that God works in us through discipline. I don't know about you, but the word discipline often sounds harsh to me. How can God love us and discipline us? Yet, Hebrews flips that question: how can God love us and not discipline us? And it's this discipline that shapes our character.

Jesus said that he “came to cast fire on the earth” (Luke 12:49). He was referring to the fire of faith brought by the Holy Spirit. This is a timely word for the Church in our day and age when most Christians sense only a flicker of faith at best. As we launch Church of the Incarnation North Campus, let us come closer to this fire Jesus speaks of and be lit with life.
