1. He's given you an empty canvas.
You are not chained to the past.
It doesn't matter what was true in your life yesterday.
If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9 NLT)
God's grace is greater than all of our failed attempts put together.
"Who do you want to be today?"
2. You've been given a worthwhile purpose.
God has given us all the same purpose: the opportunity to tell the world that they can be reconciled with God.
We need to remember who we represent.
You have the opportunity to be an agent of grace.
3. You have been given unlimited potential.
And just as our sin was imputed on Him, His righteousness is now imputed on us.
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. (Romans 3:22 NLT)
Not only does God declare you righteous in the spiritual sense, He gives you the power to become righteous in a literal sense.
He loves you far too much to let you stay the way you are.
For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son (Romans 8:29 NLT)
It only matters what God can do through you.
Listen to what God says about you.
