ISAIAH / In some of the seasons of our lives change has come quickly and drastically. In other seasons things have moved agonizingly slow. But this is God's world and we are His people. We will forever bear fruit if we remain connected to Him. Peace be still.

ISAIAH / Prophets are often portrayed as crazy loners preaching doom and gloom, but Isaiah ministered God's broken heart by calling back a people who had left their first love.

SONG OF SONGS / Marriage and sexuality have incredible potential to either bless and enhance our lives or leave us broken and damaged. When done well, they paint a picture to a watching world what the relationship between the church and Christ is meant to look like.

WISDOM LITERATURE / Postmodern voices tell us there is either no meaning to life or that we must create our own. But the Bible tells us that real meaning comes from the God who created us. This truth anchors our lives in something that helps us flourish even in hardship, and to know a joy that shapes our souls.

ECCLESIASTES / "All of life is a vapor," says this cynical, middle age man. "Everything is meaningless!" There is no other book in the Bible that seems to nail our current cultural mood of despair like Ecclesiastes... So is life even worth living? Does serving God amount to anything in life?

PROVERBS / We all have certain people we go to when we need advice about life, but with so much at stake in our lives - which is best or even true? We are not orphans left to figure this out on our own, for we have a Father who desires to instruct us in the way life works.

EPHESIANS 5 / It's not hard to see that something evil is at work around us but no one is quite sure who is to blame for it... God? Us? Religion? Government? Demons? The answer to this question should change not only the way we think, but the way we live.

JOB / There is a lot going on in our visible world that leaves us troubled, confused, and with many questions. The story of Job takes a peek at what is happening behind the curtain in the invisible universe, but there may be more questions than answers for a while...
